Please check out Belize very carefully. That was my plan also but crime was increasing rapidly in the area that I had my property at. Sold it and now will be retiring in Panama. Negatives and positives for every country but a feeling of personal safety is the top priority and medical second. Not trying to be negative but I saw the changes in Belize from when I first purchased 20 years ago. Just do your due diligence.

What is the current state of Coronado real estate? Are prices going up? Is it still a buyer's market? What could I expect to pay for a 1 bedroom condo in Coronado Bay, Ocean Front and views, on the East side of the building, at least as high as 7th floor? And what could I rent it out for?

If I buy a property in Coronado, may I go to the beach freely, or should I be member from those clubs or pay to the hotels the fee for have access to the nicest beaches? I ask this question, cause I heard you have to pay for have access to the clean beaches Wich is ridiculous.

Hey folks, I'll be heading down to Panama city for a week on March 30, 2021. I don't like tour groups and like doing things on my own. I'll be renting a car and looking to retire somewhere in a few years. Any ideas on where to go. Oh yea, I'm fully vaccinated with the COVID vaccine.

If you are not Panamanian or speak Spanish as a Panamanian, you want to live around other expats in a gated community or secured condo, for safety. That goes for any foreign country right now. There is a xenophobia right now around the world that makes it unsafe for all foreigners in this economic down turn.
Hey Steve! Coronado receives less rain than the rest of the country due to its location in what we call locally the dry arc. that said they're more than a few days that can get pretty hot and in some cases pretty humid! Life in the tropics :)
Absolutely! There are not any restrictions but you may need a pretty awesome bicycle as the sand does not get the hard pack like it might in a place like Florida.
Hi Phillydayra, Panama, in general, has come a long way to becoming wheelchair accessible. With that said the standards are still not as high as what you may be used to in your country.
@@matthewmarx5934 I am not totally wheelchair dependent. And I don't see myself going into the city often. I was born in Panama and left at 6 for the US. I've always planned on going back and want to leave the US ASAP. As long as my condo is accessible I'm satisfied

Hi Todd, you can live in Coronado for a few months without a car. Most full-time residents have a driver they can rely on or you can use a golf cart or bicycle to get around.
$20-30 for restaurants?... We must have eaten at the most expensive restaurant in all of Coronado haha. We got a pizza, pasta and a couple glasses of wine, $65USD....

Belize is low level land. Consider sea level rise. Just like Florida the ocean will continue to move in. Panama has mountains.

Absolutely, quite a few point breaks and Beach breaks within a 10 km radius of Coronado. The Pacific side of Panama however is very tide dependent

None! Other than general zoning restrictions, there are no mention of tiny homes in the housing code in Panama.
