Just came here from Part 1! Very nice work so far. I use Fusion to do my warship modeling so it is great to see how 'the other half lives' with using a non-parametric program to create the models.

I've just watched parts 1 and 2 of this excellent series and find the information very useful. I am just beginning to model a WW2 USN Manley-Class high speed transport (APD) in Blender. I would be very interested in learning how you model the hulls for your ships.

This is a great insight into your modeling process. Most of my experience is modeling with CG/game use in mind so it's very interesting to see the differences in what considerations need to be made for 3d printing. I'd love to hear more about how you make decisions on which sections of the model to break into separate parts and how you go about connecting them, especially when you get down to the hull. Once printed, are there any special steps taken to reduce visual seems between the sections?
I am looking forward to following this project and picking up as many tips as I can along the way, thank you for sharing!
