German engineering tends to be that way. Just be careful as itll take your sanity and turn you into a german secondary spec player ingame and you will most certainly yolo into the fray expecting it to protect you
Thanks for this look into your workflow! You are very meticulous and it really shows in the stunning detail on that finished superstructure. You mentioned working on another project that would be easier and I'm curious as to what signs you use to determine difficulty when choosing a ship to model. It seems that the number of overhangs are a significant consideration but are there any other important factors to look out for?
You're right, the number of overhangs play a significant role. But it is also the overhang angle. I like to keep it to >30° and I take that into consideration when I split the model into different parts. And the more details you separate from the model the more you can play around with those angles in the slicer software.

Ich muss zugeben, mit der Anhalt habe ich auch schon geliebäugelt😄. Vielleicht nicht direkt als nächstes Projekt, aber vielleicht in nicht allzu ferner Zukunft😅

Was die 1/700 Modelle angeht: Grundsätzlich ja, die großen Teile wie Rumpf, Deckaufbauten, Hauptgeschütze kann ich einfach skalieren, aber die Details (Flak, Sekundärgeschütze usw.) müsste ich wahrscheinlich komplett neu konstruieren
Crap at some point in the future I wanted to commission a 3d printing of the Cheshire from WoWs (1/1200 or 1/700) but it seems it won't happen by seeing how hard is to print ships.
