@crandor6 I'm talking about the light novels, first volume was released somewhere in 2006 (Japan), and the last volume (epilogue) was released in July 2011. 17 books in total. I think 3 of them are something like fillers, just funny stories or something like that (of course with Horo). And this is for people who want to read something new about SaW, volume 4 (released in english) wasn't covered by the anime. It has a completely different arc so buy those books and start reading them!

I think I would die of joy if that were to ever happen. Life goal, become rich enough to fund seasons of Spice and Wolf for the rest of the books. I've seen too many light novel adaptations end right when the series starts to pick up to overlook this. I don't care how long it takes, I will make a season 3 and on happen!

0:55 is anyone gonna talk about how scary this bear is? It’s casual and calm demeanor in this picture to me suggests intelligence, confidence, and strength. I mean anything that can take out an entire village of Holos must be ridiculously strong, and it’s probably got a human form like Holo. So just the threat this monster poses is seemingly immense, and what looks like a bandage on what I assume is an artistic version of the moon looks like it might have been caused by this bear, and that just further proves it’s strength in my eyes. Not sure if it has a human form seemed more like a force of nature. Seeing how it took out a bunch of different spirits that were worshiped as gods as well. Either way I would imagine it's either dead by now or that it's never gonna show itself again. Seeing how in the Light Novels it's never brought up once after the 4 Volume.

Plus in volume 4 of the Light Novel which the anime skips. Their is scene where Holo basically admits that even if she was with her pack when the Moon Hunting Bear came. That she would have been killed along with the rest of them.

As I haven't read every of the light novels still need to read volume 22 and volume 23 has yet to come out in Japan so will still be awhile before it's released in English. So maybe they could meet him as they have had a run in with a normal bear. As they own a Bath House now and a bear that lives in the woods near them comes and takes bath in there as long as Holo is in a good mood and lets him. So maybe in one of the newer volumes a strange visitor will come to their bath house and it will end up being the Moon Hunting Bear in human form if he has one. At least Holo has met other Wolfs of her kind with one of them even working in the Bathhouse with them.

If I recall the manga was discontinued for the time being, while the light novels are complete and currently being translated into English... latest being volume 8 or 10.

It might be cheaper than 12 episode seasons, though I am surprised the series hasn't been revived yet. I'm relatively new to this fan community, but Spice and Wolf does seem to have quite a large following and is almost universally praised for its storytelling. A third season has more of a reason to exist than a lot of other animes out there.
