I would love to hear your feedback on if this video covered everything that you wanted to know about the best PLA gold filament and anything you guys think I should add or change, thank you so much for your input!
Great video, I’m actually looking to buy some Hatchbox Gold PLA. Which one did you test? The Hatchbox Silk Good PLA or the Hatchbox Metallic Gold PLA?
@@TheExtremeElementz I found out that theyre same thing
@@glennbrian3d according to their images on the site the metallic is significantly shinier than the gold that’s why I was asking. But the standard silk gold PLA is the one I just ordered so I was just checking.
@@TheExtremeElementz yeah I ordered both of them I thought I noted this in the video but they were the exact same filament with two different names
@@glennbrian3d For sure I thought I saw two HB boxes 🤪 thanks for the replies!!
Green would be a great color to cover as well. It seems hard to find a good green. May I also suggest silver silk pla! Thanks,
I'll put those on the list!
Love your videos Glenn! I started up an Etsy Shop around 2 weeks ago and finally got my first sale! Thanks to your tutorials on how to set it up, and how to make a good listing! I am slowly adding more products and growing my business. Thank you!
Nice I'm glad I could help!
Thanks again for an informative video, Glen!
Thanks for watching Richard!
Been 3d printing for a long time but still found this video informative. Would love to see more like it! Thank you!
Thanks man! Anything you'd like to see added or taken away?
Thanks, I might need to get some of that.
Glad I could help!
Very informative, thanks for sharing the information.
Glad you liked it!
love it thanks! I would love if you did a similar one on silver filiments
Definitely once I have time I'm doing all the colors!
Wow, this is a really nice comparison! Thanks for doing this! You should do more! My only critique would be there wasn't near enough light on the turntable, so I couldn't really see shine, layers, ghosting, or anything because it was too dark.
Thanks!
Hi Glenn, I found your video very informative considering I have been fighting with the Silk Gold Overture that you used. Could you help me with the settings used, I use Elegoo Cura, as it came with the printers and an Elegoo Neptune 4pro and Neptune 4max and I simply am unable to get a print, they either curl up and catch on the nozzle and then just break off or they don't stick at all, been fighting with it for about 2 weeks.
Sounds like your bed adhesion may be the problem
Hi! Can you do a video how do you ship your products and how to save on shipping fees. Thanks!
Hi there! Those kind of videos are on my other channel about selling online like platforms like Etsy and stuff, @glennbrian
Interesting how half of them have an orange hue, and the other half have a green hue. Somewhere in the middle would be a good compromise.
Thanks for watching!
very well made video.. I don't own a 3d printer but very informative nonetheless
you should definitely get one!
What is you setting for your Printer? Bed.. type.. etc... First Layer?
first layer is 200C and .2mm layer height
Some companies operate under 2 different names when expanding into new consumer areas. When Nissan expanded into America in the late 50s, they weren't sure how they'd do. So they formed Datsun for their American launch, in case they tanked. Once they were doing well, they dissolved Datsun, and took over as Nissan. Filament companies probably do the same thing
Great explanation Gigatron, that could be it!
Did the 5.6k views pay for the filament?
Thanks for the video. I did Hatchbox before this video. It was more shiny yellow. The copper silm filament usually looks gold.
Thanks for the input! I'm not sure I never counted but the Amazon link might have
Does it still have that shiny, metallic look on different filaments like ABS or ASA? If not, do you know any more durable filaments that still have that shiny gold look?
I'm not sure I've only tested the PLA so far
@@glennbrian3d You think maybe someday you could do a video on them?
@@WilRiv5286 yeah that's a possibility I'm going to try to get every color of PLA first, then move to PETG
@@glennbrian3d Sweet! Thank you!
try cc3d gold silk , they have a dark and light version
Thanks for the input!
Yoyi doesn't have any more gold apparently. Discontinued? I liked that color the best.
It comes and goes I've seen
HA! I was just looking for the best gold PLA.
Hope this video helped!
Needs a comparison to real gold... otherwise you cannot compare the colour or sheen...
I don't think I have real gold here
@@glennbrian3d oh well! And vice versa I don't have the filaments to compare to the small sample of real gold I have
@@maciejjabonski833 I'll trade you ;)
the problem is some countries have different gold colors as standart.
@@TheNuare that sounds unlikely... pure gold is pure gold wherever it is
