- Destiny - Solo Aksis, Archon Prime Kill in 4 Phases / Solo Aksis in 4 Rounds in the Wrath of the Machine Raid. Worst Final Stand in the world, and overall a pretty messy run - but somehow it died on this attempt. This is probably one of the hardest challenges I've done, having to do crazy amounts of damage to be able to kill Aksis within 4 damage cycles. It was a huge step up from the normal solo for me personally, it took roughly 20-25 hours to complete. Details below:
So basically, this challenge is doing Aksis Solo within 4 damage phase. Meaning you need to deal roughly 500k damage more per round in order to make up for the lack of a 5th damage phase. To do so, you need near perfect cannon shots and timing without any wasted moments at all, maximum debuffs on the boss with grenades/melee buff, and to basically have less than 2-3 cannon shots left by the time you hit the third teleport. From there you need to waste ~50+ Dark Drinker ammo to make up for the damage required. There's very little room for error overall!
I choked a lot on this fight personally, probably had about 20-25+ 4 phases where I either had a glitch or silly mistake ruin the run in the final phase (more often than not just me choking). About 12-14 hours in I had a Final Stand glitch out that I should've killed, which you can see here: • Solo Aksis 4 Phase Att... - It was a little demoralizing that it took so long after what should've been a kill, but got it done in the end regardless!
This run overall was fairly sloppy, but with Fusion Grenades you have a little extra leeway. I've had runs close to 3 phasing him with damage below the left portion on the right side of the "A" in Aksis (3 phase is currently impossible however), and even one where I was 50k off a Final Stand even though I missed a stun in the third round. The Final Stand here I messed up in every way possible but was lucky enough to JUST get the no-scope Sniper off to kill him probably 1 frame before a wipe. Insanely lucky it connected lol. Didn't deserve this kill, but I suppose it makes up for the glitched out Final Stand the other day!
The weapons/gear I was using (all at 400 LL):
-Treads Upon Stars w/ Life Support + Explosive Rounds
-Sniper with Surplus Perk (old NM vendor one)
-Dark Drinker
-Raid Gloves
-Starfire Protocol
-Raid Boots
-Memory of Radeghast Artifact (for +Sword Ammo)
Build was focused on Max Agility/Recovery, Ignite/Touch of Flame, Fusion Grenades, Solar Wind Melee, T5 Discipline / T3 Strength. Otherwise the rest is in the video really!

Haha I'm sure you could dude! Just takes a lot of practice and time to get down. Solo Aksis itself is a fun challenge for sure if you feel like giving it a go. Saw the Flawless Guide too from it popping up in suggested, and with all the Nightfall Solos too you'd be pretty well suited for Aksis I think! :) But regardless, thanks man for the kind words!

Oh man that final stand... You hit for 48k 3 times. I think you really lucked out with Dark Drinker damage on the last few %
That Final Stand was all kinds of awful and didn't deserve it haha! Luckily I had decent damage from the DD, and the Fusion Grenade increased the first 2. I'd be more upset about how bad it was, but I had a Final Stand wipe ages before that with perfect FS damage but Aksis glitched out - so it made up for it :p

This run overall was fairly sloppy, but with Fusion Grenades you have a little extra leeway. The very first cannon shot of the run was only 20k, but the first round was decent overall. The second had a slow charge or two again, along with a missed grenade. The third phase was REALLY sloppy, messed up my flow and had a good 3-4 miss-timed charges, and I think a grenade too. Round 4 was okay, think I miss charged a
shot there too but I made up for time in previous rounds with the extra damage. The FInal Stand also speaks for itself, miss-charged 3 of the shots and was very lucky that it died with the no-scope at the end. Normally I'd be a little disappointed, but considering I had a previous Final Stand wipe due to a glitch, I felt it evened out :p
Aksis tried to solo esoterickk in 4 phases...didn't work
Aksis didn't try to solo, he had all those mobs helping. But still didn't work.

Took me about 20-25 hours I think total. I hadn't touched Solo Aksis in 2 months and haven't played too much in the last couple of weeks, so took me a little longer. Nearly killed it 3 hours in, and 14 hours in I had the Final Stand glitch wipe which should've been a kill. And of course not man, go for it! It's a real fun challenge :)
