Wouldnt nighthawk be the best exotic to use? Or is Bones just too good to pass? ( I dont personally have a hunter so im not too sure) Also wouldnt Nighstalker be a better choice? Iff you had black hole you get 8s of 35% extra damage right? In 8s, you get about 480k damage from 6 cannon shots, netting you an extra 168k damage. Even if slightly under 8s, you can atleast get 5 cannon shots and about 140k extra damage. Thats still more than whatd you get from nighthawk right? Plus you could use an exotic aside from Bones since you could get 3 jumps from the nighstalker subclass.
Bones and better control makes you go faster then just triple jump. Timing is very important, so I think he wanted to go faster instead of doing more damage :3
I found better control jump without bones very manageable on the area during the fight so I used celestial on my solo kill, it's easy 120k extra damage each round.
Hey @Esoterickk what's up with the bs that denies the use of a sword after using the charge lockout glitch? I've been trying this and countless times I've ended up bugged where my sword swings go through the animation, use ammo but don't do any damage at all, leading me to die almost instantly after use... I know I'm not failing the glitch (which isn't a 100% proc rate) as I'm able to remove charge lockout for the duration of the fight, albeit not very long due to my sword essentially become a shiny noodle.
The sword usage requires you to be very specific with what you do in the fight. Basically the exact order I do in the video otherwise the sword bugs out. This is what I wrote a while back in a chat so forgive the formatting, but should give you an idea of what you need to do: basically had to control how i did everything, only swapping necessary times etc, for the fight generally i'd do this: - come back from pillar with primary out, use all bullets to 0 and reload -swap to sword -swap to shotgun and reload -swap back to primary -kill the shanks, on the first captain use GG and pick up cannon instantly -drop first cannon in middle while double-tapping triangle to pull out shotgun -kill captain with shotgun, pick up cannon instantly -drop it back in mid by only tapping triangle once so primary is out, then pick up cannon/bombs like usual and throw them -make sure never swapping/reloading away from primary -use up cannons like normal -second cannon as the last shot is running out, use GG instantly and use it, then pick up last cannon -use cannon like normal until it runs out, don't swap weapons or anything and wait for the primary to come up and appear -swap to dark drinker, then it'll work if you do anything different to that it will mess up the actions, only thing different is for rounds 3-5 where you don't use super on the captain and only swap to shotgun instead
Ahhh that'll be why I'm messing up so bad then. I've been attempting it on Nighstalker so my first thought with the captains is to just sword him seeing as one heavy attack will kill any captain. Yeah you'll need to be killing the captains with a Shotgun instead, and as long as you follow the same order with the Tether timing and otherwise, it should work out :) Good luck, and cheers dude!
To see someone solo aksis with the most underestimated class ( solo-wise) is astonishing in a way that has truly made history in the destiny franchise👍
Kevin W because the throwing blade and grenades allows more damage if he used tether it would only be once out of 3 round while grenades are more consistent coupled with the super it's more damage
that moment when you get 7 phase 4 fails but then you send him to final with 4 shottie shells for worlds fastest hunter solo and the cannon wont shoot half way through at final and trade 😭
It seems to me that Treads Beyond Stars with explosive rounds, and the Flawless Scout are the only two weapons that can one shot kil everything quick enough to do this. Almost everything else I can think of requires a double tap which steals too much time. Am I wrong?

TehZombie87 is there something happening to prevent you from hitting final stand? Otherwise it's just damage is REALLY tight for Hunter, you pretty much can't miss any damage at all or it won't be enough. As long as you're getting all shots, hitting nades/throwing knife as often as possible, and getting like 8+ swings of DD off it should be enough. It's doesn't require perfect play, but almost!

Cameron Burdick Also, Celestial does around 160k damage (I think) without tether, and melting point. I know it does around 180k with a tether.
