You should really do a Scrapyard Wars - Noob edition. Get some of the people working at LMG to do this that don't know a lot about building a pc and see what they can do.
get the girls that reviewed the backpack from the mine. it seems like they're already comfortable on camera, so it should still have the same LTT vibe.
Honestly? I don't think this is a good idea. Because of their lack of knowledge, they would go to pre-built PCs and if they can't buy those, they'd just copy what is in there and hope for the best... Overall I think it would be quite boring
@@pingger1de1tl they work at LTT. I think it'd be fair for them to get advise on what is and isn't good, or even have them help with searching for the stuff, but not being able to help with any sort of procurement.
Someday, floatplane, someday. Also thanks for havin these on LMG Clips; I've started just watching all of Wan show and I realized it cuts heavily into watch time here. But I started doing that because I realized I watched literally every clip of Wan show like, 6 weeks in a row. So clearly I should just watch the whole show uncut.
Junkyard wars was adapted from the uk version scrapheap challenge which was hosted by the same guy who played cryton on red dwarf I miss that show so much
You should each out to Robert Llewelyn (host of the original Scrapheap Challenge/Junkyard Wars) , he's running Fully Charged on UA-cam now and i am sure would be down for a collab, esp if he can promote electric tech (EVs/Solar) with you somehow. He's deeply into recycling and re-use and would LOVE that he was part of inspiring this.
I am so excited for a new season of SCRAPYARD WARS!! It just might be one of the best series EVER on UA-cam - certainly for a channel in the Tech sphere!
Scrapyard wars is to LTT what the Halloween wars are to Brooklyn 99. Also I remember junkyard wars, it was a good series where contestants would have to construct a vehicle or device to achieve an objective e.g. a fireman's boat.
Hey! To everyone actually interested, no - this is not an accidental upload. I've seen a lot of people thinking that but no. This is a sneak peek of the Floatplane exclusive which is a lot longer. A teaser for us peasants who don't have Floatplane.
I like watching these as it gives insight into what floatplane gives before I actually start paying for it, a few more and I’m going to subscribe, more scrapyard wars!
i very much dig how yall are pitching floatplane more, these kind of demos are def gonna reel people in! i don't hardly pay for shit but i'm close to getting in to floatplane
3:00 You literally uttered the idea of another upcoming scrapyard wars! have the logistics team dump a shit ton of pc hardware from the warehouse in a literal junkyard. Both teams have to scrap through the all junk lying around and figure out how to build the best pc.
There was a Scrapheap Challenge on the BBC hosted by Robert Llewellyn (Kryten of Red Dwarf) as well. Not sure if it came first or Junkyard wars did.. as the one was a cultural remake of the other US/UK .. just some more fyi. 😁
Just checked, Scrapheap Challenge came first with Junkyard wars being the American remake.. happened Alot around that time like with Changing Rooms was remade as Trading spaces in the US .
Oh and on the Scrapheap/junkyard show.. they did much more than just build vehicles.. it was really quite awesome. They were given tasks.. and built all kinds of CRAZY stuff.
There should be a resale element to get most profit. But it would stop the crazy builds that are unsellable like flames or just on a wooden board. And try hard for presentation or a good case
you guys please keep this going every year.... You can be changing people and linus and luke can be dictating behind the scenes for the show and something but keep it running....
Only 8 minutes? With makeup taking 4 hours, there's still another 7 hours and change of BTS to pick from, I'm heavily tempted to get that floatplane subscription
On the most recent wan show linus said something about it being a week late. so my guess is it was planned on being a weekly thing but theres going to be 2 weeks between the 1st and 2nd.
Currently it's delayed, Linus said hopefully by a week which means we could see it sometime next week. This week's WAN show will probably have an update.
The other few Floatplane exclusives I watched which flashed by on this channel were so far outside of my sense of humour/interest or were downright disrespectful. So I decided to ignore them and have not felt interested in Floatplane for this channel (The Trash Network a.k.a. DankPods does pique my interest for it). But this calm interview with interesting background stuff would actually want me to give a Floatplane subscription for it a try. So well done on the finally successful advertisement and seemingly leaving this one up indefinitely.
Named scrapyard wars, I was hoping it was going to be a scrapheap challenge tv show esq thing from the 90s. Don’t mean to be a hater but I hate this whole in disguise reality tv idea. Keep trying new things though.

when viewers have better ideas than lmg. i’d love to see that too

Great idea. Would LOVE to see this happen

I discovered Scrapyard Wars (and thus LTT) because I was searching for Junkyard Wars clips. Glad to know the connection was intentional
junkyard wars are great.
Someday, floatplane, someday.

They also accidentally put FP logo in the corner
perfect way to market it, everyone is enjoying it
Seems like alot of people doesn't read the description
Thank you for more scrap yard wars love it guys keep up the hard work
I remember junkyard wars what a throwback

Junkyard wars was a cool show.
Scrap Yard Wars Down Under with Dankpods.
Maybe they can even cable manage his drum stream room!
Im not a floatplane subscriber but I don't even have to be, to know this isn't an accidental upload. Those BTS vids are like hours long AFAIK
As an floatplane subscriber I can say this BTS+extra was 48 minutes and 43 Seconds long.
Thank you for the sneak peak guys.. appreciate it
I miss junkyard wars so much 😭 dope that Luke took inspiration from that show for scrapyard wars.
Yay Scrapyeard Wars
I enjoyed the Junkyard Wars show. The NERDS were awesome!
Wow I actually am very tempted by floatplane now!!
As a kid, i absolutely loved junkyard wars
Linus promised Luke free computers to keep him in his company. That's like a kidnapper offering a child free cookies to lure them into their van.
3:05 meh, Scrapheap Challenge on Ch4 in UK was always way better anyways and apparently the creator of that got the idea watching Apolo 13 😊
3:00 You literally uttered the idea of another upcoming scrapyard wars! have the logistics team dump a shit ton of pc hardware from the warehouse in a literal junkyard. Both teams have to scrap through the all junk lying around and figure out how to build the best pc.
The fact Linus has been honoring that agreement with Luke for that long...
"If we get recognized we can't do the deal" that didn't last long
Here for the clerks reference!

Poor Linus looks exhausted.
Pssst... read the description...

Working as intended
Do! It's substantially more BTS than that on Floatplane :D
The FP Exclusive is 48 mins
new episode Friday on floatplane
Floatplane exclusive: I'm not even supposed to be here today!
Scrapyard Wars was the original name for Junkyard Wars when it was created in the UK.
*Scrapheap Challenge
we dont need everything to be a war
When is episode 2 of Scrapyard Wars going to be on UA-cam?
On the most recent wan show linus said something about it being a week late. so my guess is it was planned on being a weekly thing but theres going to be 2 weeks between the 1st and 2nd.
Currently it's delayed, Linus said hopefully by a week which means we could see it sometime next week. This week's WAN show will probably have an update.
I wish you do scrapyard wars against other tech youtubers in their own countries. E.g. Canada vs US vs EU
Love how they spent 4h with make up instead of just putting on an ffp2 mask and a hat
W Luke!!
Did they do this on purpose? I am not a subscriber
Shhh, enjoy it while you can
@royalguard007 that's what I'm saying lol
Trust me, I am enjoying it
I will pretend, that I am a member
description says "a small portion" so yes its on purpose.
I love RAW luke
Linus actually kinda looks like Steve Vai
Trey should be Tray, in the credits.
This is SCRAPYARD WARS!
I was a HUGE JunkYard Wars fan back before TLC became the realty tv channel
its not they have to shop online for parts and pay and collect the parts, scrapyard wars had bits of junk plant in a scrapyard.
The other few Floatplane exclusives I watched which flashed by on this channel were so far outside of my sense of humour/interest or were downright disrespectful.

So early the only comments are bots... YT fix yo sh*t 🙃
beep boop im totally a real human!
@@DeathSlayer1337 silence, BOT!
@@satakrionkryptomortis youll never take me alive!
Hope Luke wins 😁
More Luke!
Wow behind the scenes even before Part 2 is out. They're really milking us for the hype and suspense aren't they.
Little did he know that his terrible acting would cancel out Linus' popularity 0:40
this is the second time an exclusive is free this gotta be on purpose
Its been more than that for sure. I think it's been atleast 5 or 6
This is just a portion of the video, the full behind the scenes video on Floatplane is 48 minutes.
it's to entice you to buy the whole thing. like tasting stands in stores.
they've done this for like months. they'll drop an exclusive here and leave it open to anyone for 48hrs, then pull it back out
Hehe free special me likey
nice.
You should do a "Europeen Edition" in Teams with some european UA-camrs to mix things up a bit
woot! 666th like!
I hope the bots enjoy this accidental upload

No one is going to sub to float plane. Put it on UA-cam
unfortunately theyve got 36k subs over there. very unlikely to happen unless that number drops fast
