My Volvo provided by my employer saved a life at night when I were VERY tired about a year ago. Dark outside, Swedish winter, very light traffic late at night in central Stockholm and a cyclist with no lights or reflexes came fast as heck blowing a red light from a downhill straight into the roundabout, I had no chance at ALL to react even as old semi PRO driver myself - the collide warning kicked in, some kind of red lights ive never seen showed and it beeped hard, the car went so hard on the breaks half my coffee fell out of the cupholder, but it saved a life, for sure. I came in at around 40kmh. After this incident, I will only use a Volvo as long as I live in a city atleast.

Magnificent maybe years later cyclists on the road they're hundred percent no any concerning. Volvo you've acknowledged the safety of cyclists hope everybody has the feeling of safety because of you. You did great!

Great anecdote Alex. This is exact scenario I worry about most while driving at night. I’m impressed that Volvo has a strategy for this.

On the cyclists helmets must throw a load of 22.5 kilograms from a height of 180 centimeters. That's how bicycle forks are checked. Try to do it.
