“I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well, maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2016. However, despite not being able to walk for a few weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and try to practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…we are all specks of dust…Also, thank you for all your support. It means a lot. I have suffered from anxiety from the past and self-confidence, (yeah hard to see now right) didn’t think I was ‘good, or worthy enough’ but I feel I have a new lease of life, don’t really care as much and want to show you guys what I have! : ) You are all awesome and without you, there would be no channel.

Maybe it’s just me, but with the audio and video out of sync it looked lip synced... maybe a less studio format, more like Katrina Valarde.. live..

The videos in Rebecca's videos tend to always be a bit out of sync for some reason, maybe it's in the exporting process something messes up, idk but I've watched her video many times and it doesn't look lipped. But it could be and that's okay, it's still her voice so idc.
When I'm by myself, singing along to all my favorite songs, in my mind I sound EXACTLY like them! Lol

I can't remember where or when it was, but there was an interview of Lana Del Rey where she said that before she broke out she was singing in higher "pop" registers like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilerra, but after experimenting and trying things out she settled on the lower sultry sound she's famous for now. I find that interesting that a simple, yet distinctive change could mean all the difference.

I love how people who understand the voice like vocal coaches or linguists or impressionists can sing like anyone or nail any accent in the world simply bc they study and understand the technical way the body creates sounds. It’s always amazing! And they are difficult trades that don’t get enough credit!

This girl’s voice was so smooth and soulful... I almost did a duet with her for a school talent show but she was too nervous.
The song we would always sing together was “Jealous” by Labrynth
There's an episode of the Ellen DeGeneres talk show where Cher sings a song with her mother, if you can find the clip. There you will find the answer to where Cher gets her voice. It's fabulous!

Ms. Rebecca you must have had so much fun doing this one. When it first started I thought it was your BFF, Laura. Eline did a great job. It reminded me of when, you use to do this type of stuff. I'm so happy you're going to return to doing fun, creative stuff again. Oh and I love what you said about Nora. I'm going to revisit her because of this. Come Away With Me was probably my favorite album from 2002.

Rebecca, This video is the best by far not only she's great but the way you explained everything she was doing was so on point. I learned a few things from you this evening. As a singer, in my younger days, I loved to imitate other female vocalist. Then my dad said to me. You need to find your voice. I really didn't know my real voice and it was fun to imitate because I could do it so well. I'm questioning how I've done that. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. I love that you love Lana. She’s my favorite. And lullaby is a great way to describe her sound. I’ve always thought she had sleepy kind of way of singing - if that makes sense - and her music is very dreamy and calming. Her voice is unbelievable, so ethereal and hypnotic. Ohhh i love that, impressions always blow my mind 😊 the beautiful Shakira, i used to be a big fan of her, i have quite a few of her albums.
The only impression where i thought that if i'd hear it normally on the radio or something and know that's an impression, is Ariana. I know her voice quite well by now, and i could hear that this girl just... wasn't her, you know?
Nora Jones... i totally get it, i know that song by heart. Actually, not the lyrics, because i learned it through growing up, and i'm not a native English speaker. But the song, if that makes sense.

Everyone always talks about My Immortal but I'm a rather stoic man who takes a hell of a lot to cry but that song (Hello) at the crescendo gives me butterflies and makes me fight back the tears every single time.
