- A bunch of US service members, and myself (ofcourse) enjoying a taste of home. Kid Rock has brought his show out to Iraq in support of US troops for six years. They tour various locations throughout Iraq every year. Bringing a nice escape from the daily BS. Also. Carlos Mencia and Jesse James (Country Singer) were amongst the artist that performed today for us.

I was front row right side, Right next to the speaker. Good times!
Was there as well. Coworker relayed to be that he requested a bottle of vodka for his hooch for that night. Since the VBC was a dry base he got a note simply saying sorry and a case of water to go with it.
I was there too. If you recall, he did come out with a bottle of jack and took a swig.
He did have a bottle of whiskey that he brought out during the show.
Imagine the money he spent to bring his whole band with him
I was there. The Air Force paid for it. Brought everyone and equipment in on a C17.

This is when the 127th Michigan ANG was there.
Maybe I shouldn't tell this story but screw it. I too was at this concert. I worked at Camp Cropper. I first saw kid rock in November (maybe October) 2001 onboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN-72). I was literally two weeks on board. Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson come on board to sign Autographs. One of the Boatswains Mates dirty dicked a command ball cap to give Pamela Anderson. He waited in line nearly 45min to give her the hat, she turned around gave it to kid rock who put it on...That's all I could think about watching him on that stage, that my military career had come full circle.
