Cal is just taking this channel to another level.
Cal is a bum so is meateater they went woke and are owned by anti gun
@@thehunt3652 LoL okay cool guy.
Nicholas Eedy look up the facts
@@thehunt3652 Meateater is owned by Steven Rinella, if you know anything at all about him, he is 100% not anti gun.
Your Face anti gun owns the controlling shares and gave them 10 million dollars look it up. These guys don’t care if we keep our guns as long as they get another season on Netflix
Cal has turned into one of my favourite online personalities. Just a genuinely good dude.
Good dude whos opinions expressed here and on meateater is owned by anti gun
Totally agree
I totally agree he just loves everything outdoors
@@thehunt3652 wait what?
He also has a very soothing accent.
These last 2 Cal in the Field shows have been absolutely excellent. Keep up the great work meateater. It’s fun watching Steve’s old content that I had never seen, but these shows are a great mix of entertainment and information
The writing, editing and camera work are all top notch. These guys really do set the bar. Keep up the stellar work.
@J T just the new stuff, though.
These guys are woke anti gun sellouts
@@thehunt3652 Alright you’ve got your panties in a bit of a twist and you’re posting on every comment. Why don’t you go research your claims a bit more and you may save yourself some time and heartache. Also, the term woke is not related to anti-gun. That word is reserved for the truly out-of-touch with reality type. Not to say this is a rare type these days.
Cam Gregg I did my research and anti gun owns the controlling shares of meateater and gave them 10 million dollars so I’m pretty sure they are owned by anti gun. And they are woke because all the libtard bull shit they push Steve said he voted for Biden I guarantee cal did also
Atta boy Cal, conservation is the key! Thanks for sharing, and keep up the great work Meateater squad!
Fun fact. The "blood" along the spine in the fish cavity is in fact not blood. It is the kidney 😁
I was going to comment this as well! Always good to know anatomy
I had no idea, thank you for sharing!
There you go!
What !??? !! I did not know that. Cool thank you my friend. Thats cool.
It’s both. The kidney is full of blood cells, because along with the spleen, it produces both red and white blood cells.
Love the conservation theme of the last 2 eps. We are stewards of the land for our kids and their kids.
Amen brother
Fishing with Cal is hype content
7:10 sums that up.
Wouldn't have guessed this was your kinda stuff. No offense meant.
I cant say this about much of the other UA-cam channels, or any other programs for that matter.. but meateater produces the most beautiful content. The detail to the landscape, wildlife, and stories to go with it. Yall get on a personal level with your guests and guides. You show the connection that all TRUE outdoorsmen share. Its not all about gear and sponsorship, I appreciate that so much.
Great work fellas
I love these episodes of Cal getting into the conservation side of hunting and fishing. It’s a subject many outdoorsman lack knowledge in for sure.
So blessed to live a few minutes from The Snake here in southeast Idaho. An amazing place to live, work, and play.
This series of videos from Meateater is by far some of the best.
I love watching Steve hunt but as a wildlife biology student it’s awesome to watch Cal work with state agencies
I love this content! Have been watching and listening to Meat Eater media for years and I LOVE to see this type of content on UA-cam. Cal is great. Keep it up, Cal!
He truly deserves his own show. This guy is so goo and Meat Eater is so great at highlighting each guys strengths.
rod dammit yeah if you like woke anti gun
@@thehunt3652 what are you talking about buddy
Jonas Tatu meateater is owned by anti gun look it up
@@thehunt3652 they have a libtard investor it’s not an owner and rinella already addressed him having full control over what goes on the show look it up
Loving Cal's stuff... As a middle school science teacher I share these with my classes. THANK YOU!
That's cool . Right on
Hearing the narration of Cal is so soothing.
More Cal please! These last two vids killed it! I am just as interested in this content as I am catch and cook.
Cal is fearless! I would never get on a boat and put myself in such close quarters with a crazy masker like that. 10:50
Guide definitely got TRWISTED with the bonking of the fish
That guide was fake as fuck. His body language was all different.
My stomping grounds! Love these waters and am grateful people go through so much work to keep these fisheries inceredible!
I'll never leave Idahome.
Love the conservation stuff, making it interesting and not anti hunting/fishing. Showing the public that the Hunter/Fisherman is an essential pillar for a sustainable future 👍🏽
the fly fisherman was sweatin' while talking about eating fish haha
cause he wants a piece of cal
My dream fishing location. Just beautiful.
Another great Cal in the Field video. Really interesting. Thanks for doing this.
One might be willing to say to ol' Cal here, you sir, are indeed, crushing it. Keep it up.
Great episode! Here I am sitting in western Montana surrounded by beautiful blue ribbon trout streams wanting to head south to the Snake to try my luck.😂
Thank you Cal and hats off to ya for being a dern good hearted outdoorsman
Love the video's Cal and Steve, keep up the great work. Love your Meateaters shows. Closest thing to actually hunting during the off season with great tips.
Good stuff Cal! MeatEater has some of the best producers out there. Great camera work. The MeatEater style and content type is consistently excellent.
Very interesting information provided. Thank you for the video. Rainbows are the most common trout here in Missouri.
Idaho is such a breathtaking place. Nice video.
I'm Ryan Callahan and this is wild America lol. I swear I get that excitement I used to get watching all the nature shows as a child everytime Callahan starts talking
I love living in North Idaho. Fishing is always incredible up here, too
Cal is an A-class man and I wish I could learn more from him! This series is a testament to his character. Keep up the good work and hope to meet Cal one day!
Puts me right back to where I started fishing. Tons of hiking and fast water, coming home exhausted with my best friend to make Trout, fried taters and peppered corn.
More trout fishing videos please! This was great!
beautiful landscape and beautiful fish. Love the show Cal
That river is stunning!
Not too many rivers you can catch 6400 trout per mile and also 7ft sturgeon (dinosaurs to us locals)
Idaho is the best place in the world
I never knew Idaho had so many rivers! Seems like a outdoorsman paradise.
its awesome country, but the humans make it suck :)
@@sikosis999 Depends on the area. North Idaho is fantastic
Idaho is horrible. Don't come.
@@TheDude1776 I appreciate your concern!! LOL
@@TheDude1776 Heard North Dakota is nice😁
I love seeing Cal doing his thing
any real fisherman loves a top water bite. there’s really nothing more exciting than watching any fish blow up on a top water lure. whether it’s a fly, popper, wake bait, etc.
Its even better when you are trying to get someone into fishing or explain why you fish to your friends. I still get giddy when a bluegill hits a red and white bobber too, being able to see the hit in some way is exciting
Thanks Cal! It’s my dream to visit the Snake if I ever get over there from Australia. I can’t believe how beautiful it looks in this video 😍
Really appreciate the Meat Eater fishing content.. hanging out for another Das Boat season!
That is a lot of fish per mile, sometimes it feels like there are no fish for miles! 🥰🤗😊
The last two Cal films have been awesome. I cannot wait for more.
@Meateater keep this Cal content coming (loved these last couple videos!) The mixture of information and wildlife, scenic nature and fishing/hunting is a nice switch from all the consistent hunt & cook episodes
cal and steve are the best. can watch and listen for days!
I like Cal alot so mellow .
Cal is truly a gem.
Cal is a legend
Very enjoyable episode. Cal is a great host and narrator.
This is my fave ep of all time love ya cal .. you the man
Sick eat at 12:17 solid hook set big dawg.
This is one of the best series on UA-cam.
Love seeing fly fishing on this channel.
Cal in the field really deserves its own show. Love this content!
Snake River fishing is on my bucket list...
" So what I did there, was I just let him eat it" :) Love this guy :)
I wanna catch a Yellowstone cutthroat! WA state here . This is a good episode 👏
Great content! I can’t wait for the rivers to thaw and the lakes to open! Man I wanna go fishing and try poaching a trout like that
hey man, poaching is punishable by law 😉
You must have filmed this last spring. Everything is nice and green.
This was a few days ago when it was very hot in southeast Idaho. The rivers are amazing here. Fishing is the only thing that is keeping me (a dominican tropical guy) sane.
This rules. Cal in the field is the best thing on the channel
Very educational. Thanks Cal!
I used to fish the Snake quite a bit...great river
love it. has me so excited for spring trout fishing
These Cal episodes are better than the new Meat Eater episodes they are on a slower pace. They relish the environment in the moment like the old episodes did.
That was informative and enjoyable.
That guide was as dry as a dry fly lol 😆 I absolutely love cal and the meat eater crew all ways keeps something for the plate......And remember your not a serious fly fisher less you buy a second house on a good dry fly river......
the fact that i know exactly where they are blows my mind
Where?? This is a dream spot 🙏🏼
South fork of the snake river
Live on it its nice here
Great video, and fantastic points - always good to keep some fish, but put back even more. Cycle of life. Love to keep a few trout here and there but even happier to put the wild ones back.
These have been so freaking cool to watch.
Me who only fishes in Idaho and didn’t know about the money possibility😧
I love trout! Very interesting video! Keep them coming!
I cook trout with the head on so the tails don't curl. Plus that cheek meet is good.
We have a similar fish lottery here in Washington state as well.
Appreciate y'all
Always wondered where the "nature is neat" guy went. Turns out he's a finishing guide now.
Great stuff guy's, thanks!
That was fun, I never knew how the fish shocking thing worked
My family had a cabin on a small private lake in Minnesota. Fish and Wildlife came through to manage the fish population by basically dynamiting a section of the lake to remove a portion of the population and allow the remaining fish to grow bigger.
Cal, living true to the "eat what you kill" during the episode MeatEater pledge..... Oh wait, this is from three years ago.
Great new episodes from Cal!
Loved this!!!
Great video, I have had the pleasure to interact with Bret High, he is a first class guy. I will always believe a trout is a trout and their purpose for me is to eat what I catch.
Great job Cal. Keep it up
Just want to say I'm a huge fan of Cal and these new episodes. Thanks for the great production work and information!
Home sweet home for me southeast Idaho
Great stuff, love this and the podcast
Good stuff guys. More of this.
I believe the Yellowstone cutthroat trout also exist in the Fraser Valley of BC. Seems to me I use to fish them around Chilliwack
Those would be coastal cutthroat trout.
Love me some bows ! Especially steelhead lol
I know exactly where you're fishing that's my neck of the woods they really like rapalas on that section of the river
Excellent video
This was a cool episode I live down in San Antonio but I lived up in Salt Lake for a spell and I’m bummed out that I didn’t get to explore this area though I did spend a lot of time in Jackson and the area I wish I had fished this area of Idaho more I need to go back and explore and fish
Great work cal
This is awesome! Love this series!👍👍
12:16 - LOL
Very good!
Excellent vid keep it up.Peace.
I love these
Was your fishing guide an interior decorator
And a real estate consultant because most of his regular clients buy summer homes there to enjoy the dry fly fishing, umm kaaayyy...
His house looked like shit
Informative and motivational. What more can you want?
I’m digging’ the fly fishing vids...
Why was the guide dogging on lure and bait fishing? Only tried flies a bit....what am I missing?
