~For the classic American western film TRUE GRIT, distributed internationally, Glen Campbell re-recorded its title song himself, singing the lyrics in Spanish. His Spanish seems adequate for this Arkansas native who also lived and worked in Albuquerque, New Mexico for a number of years. The recording in Spanish was released as a promo (pictured in video) and as a single.
~Muy importante: unlike the full-length theme song of Glen's "True Grit" vocal recording on the Capitol Records soundtrack (track 1), the Spanish version here somewhat parallels the shortened "Reprise" version on the soundtrack, lacking the distinctive guitar solo (and other orchestration).
