Well this is the third time I've listened to you play and sing gentle on my mind......... I've heard Glenn Campbell play and sing this more than one time and he did an excellent job...,. and I have heard several other people play and sing this too...... including hearing Glenn's daughter play the banjo and sing some of it too along with other people and they all do an excellent job.........and l can't speak for anybody else...... but in my opinion you do as good a job as any that I have heard...... very nice...... and I am wanting to listen to it again.......

Thanks! I run the mic and the guitar (plugged in) to a Boss acoustic singer amp. I mic the amp with a cheap external condenser mic that plugs into my phone. On the phone I record through the free Dolby On ap so you can easily edit the video and edit the sound if needed.

@@johnfoxmusic What fingerpicking pattern were you playing? Is it a style of Travis picking? Maybe a tutorial on how you played it would be helpful for all of us. One of the best covers I have seen

I use the alternating base with the thumb and just fill lead or accompanying notes with the first and second finger. I am self taught so I would really not know how to explain it better. Thanks for listening Michael! I use a Boss acoustic singer amp which has a vocal harmony feature. I enjoy it but you have to use it selectively because it sometimes gets the harmonies wrong.
