Audi A8 D4 Serpentine Belt Replacement

Replacing the serpentine belt on my 2012 A8. Not the best angle or lighting. This year A8 has more room between the engine and cooling fans than other models and I'm pretty sure this could be done from the top.

Thanks - I just did this on my A8 D4 3.0TDI, it’s quite easy, the 8 bolts on the crankshaft pulley required M10 xnz spline socket in my case, 25mm M8 bolts. The tensioner is torx 60 to relieve the tension in order to replace the belt.

I just purchased 2012 A8l 4.2 and i have a concern about a the start up exhaust a little of black came out when i rev the engine

Mike, if you don't mind me asking a question. What was wrong with the 4 inch concrete you had to begin with? I have 4 inch concrete and I just installed an 8000 lb lift and I was wondering if I should be concerned about the safety of the lift and should I pour a pad like you did? The manufacturer recommends 4 inches.

Mine was a bit under 4 in places, most likely would have been fine was more personal preference.

for the belt tensioner, no socket just the 3/8 drive ratchet end
