What about Sugar and Joe? At times they would just disappear and come back for one episode. Also, what about Sugar and Mike not being able to sing once, but then magically able to sing perfectly?
There's actually a scene in The Rocky Horror episode, where Mike says he's been practicing his singing so he volunteered to be the lead role. But you're right about Sugar
The way that some of these characters come and go during episodes even in the same season makes it very clear that it's contract limitations with the actors. I would have loved more thoughtful development of those characters instead of the overdone Finn/Rachel and Will/Emma stuff.
I actually loved how Sue mentioned Sugar and Joe disappearing for some time and then coming back, I like that little wink to the audience. I'll have to say, though I didn't notice they were missing until she mentioned it, lol.
i will never forget the episode when they talk about Ryder and kitty’s sexual abuse/ assault situations and how Artie and Sam disrespected them, and never talked about it again throughout the episode or season again
Eve D. recovering from an eating disorder doesn’t just go away w one appointment though and her mom said one appointment costed a lot of money i doubt they had enough for her to keep going for very long
SeoTaeYoon9 yeah except for when Blaine and Kurt broke up in season 6, they were always uncomfortable and even rude around each other until they got back together
I think if Finn was able to get over his best friend getting his girlfriend pregnant they could get over just dating each other’s ex’s. There was tension between a few characters bc of relationships.
That's the fate of every long-running show since there are not that many key characters and you can't cut out their interactions forever. The Vampire diaries and Pretty little liars (these 3 shows are my childhood lol) were exactly the same.
Haven’t watched the video yet, but I will never forget when Blaine said that he’s the same age/grade as Kurt, then suddenly becomes a whole grade younger a season or two later
Sometimes when you switch schools you have to retake the previous year because one school didn't have the same requirements the other did. It happened to my dad.
Omar Tellez to clear things up for you. Thats where Tom Holland and the others got the idea from. Remember show bizz is all scripted. And they planned that number. So where else would they get an idea that closely resembles that glee moment.
Character inconsistency was the worst. Blaine would never cheat on Kurt. The writers just wanted to add drama. And I definitely agree with Rachel’s broadway dreams thing. How could she get everything she want then just quit? S3 was the last good season smh
What do you mean?? Blaine would totally cheat on kurt if he felt neglected and lonely. That episode when Blaine got drunk and tried forcing himself on kurt pretty much shows that it's in his personality. Plus kurt flirting over text with some dude from the video store kinda hurt Blaine aswell. Which to him felt liek cheating. So having all that in mind, I could see how Blaine could have it in him to cheat on kurt
@@philliey oh yeah I totally forgot about blaine getting drunk. I guess in my head i just picture blaine being like this wholesome perfect guy because of the other good things he did for Kurt. Idk I still think it was a bit out of character and too much drama to allow the audience to still ship them
@@analaura-jf9wt yeah I think the severity of the cheating was too out of character. Maybe if they made him kiss someone else and then instantly regret it rather than making him sleep with someone else it would have been a little more in character.
I remember when that episode first came out everyone said Ryan Murphy was queerbaiting because a good chunk of audience was watching because they loved their relationship and wanted to keep those viewers watching to see if they got back together. That was a huge deal back then and I kind of agree with it lol
Can we talk about the random dancers that show up in their performances? They’re not actual characters, just people to dance with the group to make the stage look more full
Yeah most of the time(or at least in season 1 noticed) most of the dancers were cheerios. You'd see them walking the hall and shit and also dancing backup when the time called for it
There was a period in which another group was formed at McKinley. When they lost to New Directions Shue promised that they could join and have their own performance during competition.
it just added on to the crack these writers were on during the creation of the show and i loved everything about that dumbass twist if u can even call it that
The writers didn't know what to do with their characters anymore which is why Quinn came back to the cherios since nothing was going along after the baby. Mercedes' was almost glossed over that the writers decided to give her a bf. Idk the writers were just not consistent with all the characters.
jacknjillzzz zzz during the season 1 finale Quinn’s mom told her she could move back in after she told Quinn that her and her father were getting a divorce
I wanna know what happened to Kurt and Mercedes. They were basically inseparable in the beginning of the show. Even when Kurt and Blaine met Mercedes was still there. Kurt, Mercedes and Rachel hang out together a few times but when Kurt and Rachel discover NYADA, They just leave Mercedes in the dust. I was really hoping to see Kurt and Mercedes friendship the way it was in the beginning of the show when Mercedes also went to New York.
They poke fun at that constantly 😂. Sue often mentions how certain past graduates can just drop what they are doing and teleport with unlimited money to go to and from lima when everyone now lives on the coasts 🤣
Kinta1112 honestly one of the best parts of the show! I loved sues rant to will, on how he treats the rest of the members of glee and only fixated on Finn and Rachel and never acknowledged how fantastic a high school band could play literally any song on a drop of a dime most times and brad 😂
he was a junior member of the warblers, meaning he was a sophomore in school (its confusing ik but junior member i assume just means a freshman or sophomore)
before i transferred to a different school i was a softmore, and then when i transferred to my school that i'm in now, i was a freshman because my old school's system had a different education system than my last school
They actually did explain that. Blaine was talking to Sam saying "I transferred schools to protect him! I lost a year!" Pretty sure that means some of his credits didn't transfer or it was a severe strain and he got held back.
What about Sam’s dislexia? He says he’s dyslexic when he introduces himself to the glee kids. But when Ryder turns out to be dyslexic, no one mentions Sam. Not even himself. I guess they just forgot Sam was dyslexic. edit: OMG 1999 likes!? I totally forgot I had written this lol I agree with you guys. He was ambitious and caring and also insecure just like other teenagers. Then he became just a random weird guy.
That always annoyed me! He was introduced as smart but dyslexic fast forward through the seasons and we get a Sam who’s apparently just portrayed as super dumb!
yeah i hated that they forgot he was dyslexic and then decided to make him increasingly stupider as the show went on. i really liked him at first, but he got so much more annoying when they tried to make him dumb and funny. it just didn't work for him, and they took away the best parts of his character in my opinion (he was attractive, athletic, nice, and talented, but was homeless and had dyslexia-- a unique combination)
Yeah when Finn took Ryder to get tests taken and he tells Finn he is dyslexic, Finn doesn't mention anything about Sam even though Sam told him right off the bat that he had dyslexia. When I was watching that I was just waiting for Finn to mention Sam but he never did.
what about Sam's characterisation? at first it is said that he is dyslexic, and then never mentioned again, but he is also introduced as somewhat of a nerd who watched avatar six times and decided to learn na'vi... then all of a sudden he's completely stupid and doesn't know what a debate is? I mean, I love Sam, but it seems like the writers just kind of dumbed him down so he could be with Brittany. but also... after season three... where does Sam live? They never mentioned where Sam stayed, because I assume his family are still in Kentucky, so did he still room with the Hudson-Hummels?
Actually sam was always dumb, in season 2 he was just as gullible as brittney, he even told rachel that he was not supposed to talk to her because she would steal his pot of gold( which santana told him and he believed ) and he probably learned navi while watching avatar. Also being dyslexic doesn’t mean he wouldnt be able to learn another language, it would just make it more difficult....not impossible
@@kizzyharris5079 I was gonna argue, but then I realised that every point I was about to make just backed up your comment 😂 so thank you for educating me I guess I'm just mostly bummed out that they never mentioned his dyslexia again, especially with Ryder's storyline
@@marciabragan-boucher2256 They never established that he was younger in season 2 though, they just randomly made him younger because they wanted him in Lima during season 4
James Henry II he was junior the year Kurt transferred, and then he was junior again when he started At McKinley the next year. It was so confusing! I also agree that hey just magically made him younger than Kurt.
Didn't Quinn mention a professor she was dating at Yale who was divorcing his wife to be with her? What happened to him and that? Also... WHAT HAPPENED TO SUE'S BABY?! Baby Robin just disappeared...
Me too...but then Sue actually references some of them (like the Roar performance) and then there's the Lady Gaga set in season 5 which definitely was real.
hey also show that some are imagined when i think it was season 6 sue and will have an imaginary guitar battle and thes catch them and say it was weird
What about the fact that Ryder was freaking molested as a child by a babysitter? Some of the characters laugh it off ("oh that must have been awesome, haha"), Ryder pretends to agree that it was cool, and Will looks super concerned. And then it's just NEVER brought up again. Why didn't Will try to talk to Ryder about it, convince him to go to the police? Help him out, offer to help him get a counsellor since it clearly still bothers him? When teachers hear allegations of sexual abuse, they're not allowed to just sit by and forget about it; they have a duty to report it to law enforcement and/or child protective services. The only thing that comes of it is Kitty opening up to Ryder that she, too, was molested when she was younger and transferred schools because nobody believed her. If they weren't going to go anywhere with it, what was the point of Ryder telling his story? Sure, it gave Ryder and Kitty a bit of a closer connection, but was that it? It's only relevant for an episode, wtf
I don't think Will could have really done anything for him. Ryder said in that episode that the chick was already locked up for something else. Probably didn't want more drama due to it
I mean considering how long ago it was there definitely couldn't have been any legal action but yeah Will surely should have approached him for counseling or something. That detail is so underplayed that I forgot it happened until I saw this comment
how theres musicians just sitting there in every episode ready for the cast to start singing whenever. they dont even need sheet music and it seems like whenever someone wants to spontaniously belt out a note theyre ready to go.
Noodle boii honestly!! It creeps me out how theyre always just there waiting and can execute a flawless performance. Also the fact that they almost as if they’re telepathic just know what song to play before the character even starts singing without anyone telling them beforehand.
@@xandavidson1845 They actually make several jokes about Brad in the show. Even he himself said in one episode how much he hates the Glee kids because all they do is say "HIT IT" and he has to magically know what song they want to sing. It's kinda funny how they break the fourth wall at times like that :D
Also no one gives them even a little bit appreciation and respect for that matter. They are always there to play for them, and shockingly they are actually anywhere glee club members are gonna sing with their instruments and complete setup.
quinn was a natural brunette when they discovered her old self with a big nose and fat, but when she had her baby they said the baby “looked like her” but she looked like the changed quinn, not the og brunettes one
you guys. recessive genes. there’s plenty of blonde jewish people and quinn’s parents are both blonde, it’s not unlikely that they both carried the recessive gene and passed it down.
I just finished watching the sectionals episode in season 3 and just about screamed when I realized that two of the band members were singing and dancing with them 😭
I stg I thought Ryder would like apologize for being a bick and unique would too then they date then breakup then he’d go with Marley and they’d live happily ever after
A few I noticed: 1. The first season Mr. Schue was fluent in Spanish then later in season 3 he couldn’t say the most basic phrases. 2. Early in season 2 (I think the Britney episode) Santana mentioned her father was a “real” doctor but in later seasons they made it seem like she was poor from “Lima Heights adjacent” and never mentioned her dad being in the picture again.
I think she made herself seem like she was from "the wrong side of the tracts" when she really isn't. She cares a lot about her image and bitchy attitude.
Possible explanations for Santana & her dad: 1. Her dad became a doctor later on, and prior to that they were poor. 2. Her "dad" is actually her stepdad, and prior to her mom marrying him they lived in the projects. 3. Her parents are divorced and her dad is rich, but her mom is poor, and she was taken care of primarily by her mom in her early years. 4. She lived with her abuela when she was younger, who lived in the projects, but moved in with her rich parents later. (Maybe her parents suck, which might be why she was called "garbage face" lol).
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't she sing a song with Rachel kurt and the fashion designer lady abt how her father left her and her mom for a younger woman when she was really young? I wasn't paying attention so maybe it was a bit different . This is in s4 btw
Omg I was so mad when Rachel ditched Funny Girl to go do a stupid TV show. It was sooo out of character for her! She always dreamed of Broadway, she actually MADE IT on Broadway which is an nearly impossible feat by itself, and not only did she get just any Broadway show, she got Funny Girl, HER DREAM SHOW, the role played by her freaking idol BARBRA STREISAND!!! And she just up and dropped it for some stupid TV show!
Morrigan Timmerman I see what you’re saying but towards the end of the show she almost passes a chance to go back to NYADA JUST to be in another play she got accepted to so I’m sure she still wants to be part of Broadway.
Actually it made since, Rachel likes to be in the spotlight and tv has a bigger spotlight then broadway, so of course she left the musical to chase after a bigger spotlight
Pretty much she did that because after Cory Monteith died that kinda had to end the show and honestly after he died everything went downhill from there and the show was kinda awful and real stupid
Quinn and Mercedes's relationship in season 1. It was the most wholesome friendship, and Quinn even asked her to be present while she gave birth. The fuss was forgotten promptly as soon as season 2 started, and they did not interact again.
i still think blaine cheating on kurt in 4x04 is the most out of character thing this show ever pulled. he transferred to mckinley to be with kurt. no one who's THAT in love would even THINK about cheating on their partner. (also just the fact that kurt and blaine both transferred school constantly, and kurt TWICE IN ONE SEASON is ridiculous. do you know how much paperwork goes into that???)
The cheating storyline drove me crazy. So out of character. He said he was feeling lonely and abandoned so he cheated. But then h felt so guilty he moved up a plane ticket he had by a few weeks ago he could confess. Why didn't he just move the ticket up and not cheat then.Especially when you remember how upset he got with Kurt cheating (texting) the other guy in season 3.
When mr schue kicked Marley out of glee club because she wasn’t comfortable with the outfit even though he’s always banging on about being who you want to be. Still don’t get why he did that?!?!?
It wasn't her being uncomfortable. It was the fact that she completely disregarded the lesson he was doing, and ruined the performance her peers were putting on. That's why she got in trouble
Dont forget that artie was in a similar boat and no one gave him crap about it. Still, marley could have given mr. Schue a heads up but the dude was kinda harsh. Taking away a solo is reasonable but this was a dumb thing. At least melissa benoist still has supergirl
Marley walked out in a cupcake bikini top. She wasn't uncomfortable with the outfit - she was uncomfortable with being forced to be "a Gaga." The lesson was to put yourself in a different style - to look at things from a different perspective. Marley straight up refused to do that. There's no real excuse for her in that moment.
She was suspended for a week. And it was supposed to be a lesson which personally I didn’t think it wasn’t thought through. Marley had a eating disorder and there was no conversation with her and Will talking about why she feels uncomfortable about it.
@@alyssabria she went out there in a bikini top and practically nothing, so it had nothing to do with the clothes it was just she didn't want to be a "Gaga" because if she truly was uncomfortable she would have talked to Mr.Shue about it and he obviously would have understood. Marley was just being immature.
Manic depression can explain what happens to Rachel. She made it so far but then losing Finn catches up with her and she starts behaving out of character... A cry for help.
that's not really what bipolar disorder looks like, but I can definitely see it being a mental health issue and honestly I thought it was in character for Rachel to do something like that, but I'm still so so mad about it. She got her DREAM ROLE on BROADWAY and then QUIT?? ugh
@@quinintheclouds Yea, don’t generalize an entire disorder. Rash, impulsive, and self damaging decisions is a part of Bi polar disorder. But, that facts are Bi Polar disorder looks different for everyone.
ALSO, COACH BIESTE. When his character was introduced, his whole thing was, he could look like that and still get a man. He loved men, He always said that and then we get to season 6 he didn’t feel like her self and now he’s trans. I didn’t understand that character change
I hate how Marley has an eating disorder and body dysmorphia, which is a huge aspect of season 4, but then later the same season she wears a skin-tight superhero costume and in season 5 wears a jungle bikini for the 'Roar' performance?!?! No actual person with body dysmorphia and bulimia would be able to dress like that after just a few months.
Or dress like that after a year because recovery is hard as hell and you're always going to be self-conscious. Idk if I spelled that right conscious right... But regardless, it's been more than a couple years and I still can't dress like that without wanting to relapse completely.
Cathy Schuhsler exactly, and since season 4 ended on Reginals, it was less than a year that she wore that Katy Perry outfit since her body image problems.
I mean, she did express being uncomfortable with the superhero outfit, and she wasn't in the roar performance because she was suspended at that point so that's not quite true. but i won't argue that the way they handled the storyline in general was abysmal.
How the hell did you miss how in the first episode you see a picture of Rachel dads and there is one white one black later when they have her dads in the show they are 2 white actors
Also in the pilot Rachel explains that her dads both put their sperm into the tube for artificial insamination and then in the same season she suddenly becomes Shelby's accident baby.
I honestly think a lot of the Performances are Fantasies like something that they wished they look like because they had no budget but they felt like rockstars. Same with Rachel and Kurt they probably felt like that apartment was huge but it actually wasn’t Because they felt glamorous just being able to live in New York.
But the issue is also often brought up by Sue, who also notice the elaborate scenes etc.( For example the gaga/katy episode). So i think, that must of the perfomances were real, but not the ones that shift from the choir-room to the performance:)
The performances get funded from April Rhodes as she put 2.5 million dollars towards having the auditorium and in an episode sue says the budget was finished because they spent so much money on performances, costumes, props etc
Also, Sam being hypnotized by Sue to make him date Rachel and suddenly Jesse shows up and the season ends??????? You know what, let me rephrase: also, season six??????
@@gnome7534 They wanted to end it the way Rachel said in the Quarterback, with her walking in whilst Finn was teachin Glee club and saying "I'm home." Obviously, they couldn't do that. Which is why they brought Jesse back
Lucia Rossi Lashayas I really wish they had her be with some random man or alone rather than put her with Jessie. He was so horrible to her and her friends and was never a likable character.
@@biggnome4653 I think they had her end up with Jesse because Lea and Jonathan Groff were good friends in real life and it was most likely easier for Lea to finish the show with her best friend by her side considering she probably didnt want to do it at all.. Bad choice for the characters, good choice for the actors.
Perhaps you've noticed there's a high degree of fantasy and surrealism in the comedy of Glee. I never noticed a lack; I just rolled with whatever was happening because it's obvious that reality is not on the menu.
I want to say that they probably disappeared after Glee was shut down and the show moved solely to NY for the remainder of the season and pretty much ALL the McKinley students were never seen again other than a few (until the final episode), but I know I could be very wrong on that.... it has (admittedly) been a very long time since I've watched the show... someone remind me when they seem to disappear if it wasn't at that point please? Thanks!
Well, they were doing that show at the time where if you win you get to guest star. They didnt care about the winners very much even if they were talented and should have been added
How about Sam's character who gets dumb and dumber and even dumbest as the season went by. 😂 And heck he even kissed most or maybe all of the glee girls. 😂 😂
What about how Sue says she started teaching at William McKinley High in the 80s and Mr. Schue graduated from McKinley in the 90s. Yet nothing is ever said about it. You think he would’ve remembered Sue from his time in school
Remember sue's tragic hair history in the madonna episode? when she tells kurt and mercedes she and her sister tried to bleach her hair like Madonna's and something went wrong and she was forced to use it short ever since, and on that episode in season 5, I guess, that shows a flashback of her very first day as a teacher at school wearing LONG HAIR
Whatever Sue says about her past, her life and her accomplishments are all lies hahahaha one time she implied that she was only 30 or something. So she must have said bullshit as always, but this is on purpose because it’s part of what makes her character so funny
I definitely agree with #3 . Mr. Schuester says in season 1 that they are barely surviving on the budget that they currently have for glee club yet they're able to have these elaborate musical numbers but that's TV logic for you lol . It's crazy how Quinn was able to walk again after just 5 episodes . If I were writing the show , I would've had Quinn in the wheelchair for the rest of season 3 . Rachel was given way too many chances when it came to this whole Broadway dream of hers .
When a student is walking down the hall singing to him/herself and then suddenly they're singing on stage with costumes, lighting, etc. I see this as that person's fantasy, not an actual expensive production. Any young person who dreams of performing is going to have those fantasies.
That was the deal at the beginning, but as the seasons went on, the musical numbers ended up being mostly supposed to have happened, and not just the plausible ones.
It was so obvious Finn was lying when he said "The song I auditioned for Glee Club was from Grease, remember?" And Mr. Schue went along with the lie, because both of them knew what really happened but didn't want to admit it in front of the others.
Don't blame The Glee Project. The writers are to blame. And Blake Jenner should not have won. There were those who were not only better, but they would have had characters who would not be as boring as Ryder.
Actually in episode 100, it is explained that April Rhodes was funding the Glee Club for a while. Also, they make their costumes. As for the rain machine, I'm guessing Sue decided she needed it for the cheerios and Will just decided to use it.
they could be reusing old costumes and set pieces as well. i know at my school we have a pretty well funded arts program but any chance we get we use old scenery, props, and costumes and try to not make too much new stuff, but it’s inevitable that we won’t have a major scene piece (we unscrew & repaint things for different shows as well, so when we need to build things we have materials ready instead of having to buy new ones all the time) so when they did rocky horror and grease, some of that was probably the same wood just repainted.
"Making their costumes" would still cost them, since clothes could need to be dyed, cut, sewn together, tightened, customized, and all of that costs material. Most of those things can't be fully recycled every time either, so you only get one to two transformations tops per piece of clothing. It MIGHT be cheaper to buy some costumes instead of making them, but that is still money being spent.
Pamela Lansbury shrank into One Three Hill (retaining Kurt, Dani, and Elliott) because of Rachel and Santana’s feud, and it was later mentioned what Dani was doing.
i think that the reason why ppl didnt want to join the glee club was the fact that most of their member were "loser". whiles in the trouble tones all the former member were pretty popular
I've watched Glee so many times, it's my fave. But, dear GOD are they inconsistent. A big one I noticed that no one else seems to, is how Sue hates will in early seasons because he has luscious hair and she can't grow her own. She says as a young kid her hair is stunted (I can't remember exactly why, it had something to do with chemicals and her nazi hunter parents.) And her hair has been short for her whole life, there's a whole aspect of the Madonna episode dedicated to making her feel secure with short hair. In contrast to this, in one of the later seasons it shows a flashback to Sue's early days teaching at the high school, where she is semi nice and SOMEHOW had long, beautiful blonde hair.
@@michaelalexander1052 It wouldn't surprise me. Early in the series she said her mother was dead but then Carol Burnette shows up seasons later as Sue's mother. Though, I could be misremembering and maybe she THOUGHT her mom had died, but then it turned out she was fine..? Anyways, I wouldn't put it past Sue to have made up some "tragic backstory" as an excuse for hating Will.
Robbie Ditto to be fair they didn’t just pop up Will said “welcome back joe and sugar” it wasn’t like they just pretended they were there the whole time
Did it seriously bother anyone else that the McKinley High Glee Club could have become so freakin popular if they had just simply recorded all of those great performances that they did for _absolutely nobody_ and posted them on a YT account or something?
Right?! And again with budget thing...if they don’t have money why the hell are they doing random performances with extravagant props that come out of NOWHERE for absolutely no one😂 no wonder they’re “broke”
Glee had such a weird relationship with how much the outside world knew them. Sam put Mercedes Disco Inferno on UA-cam and at the beginning of season 3 Kurt mentioned the Finchel kiss being online
Janessa Hernandez Quinn wasn’t given an screen time after season 3. It was resolved in season 3 that Quinn was happy to let Shelby fully have Beth as she was to one who could provide for her especially as Quinn was in Yale.
Absolutely ADORED this show but really feel it should have ended when the majority graduated. The newer members of the cast were poor actors and the storylines became more and more dull!
not sure i would necessarily agree that they're bad actors they just weren't given a lot of time to work with their characters and develop them because they didn;t have many scenes and were basically only there so that another glee club could exist. cos lets face it the show is about rachel and her friends the others are just extras
Felt like they just recycled characters in the new cast and I REALLY disliked that. They should have made it so somehow magically everyone was the same age all along and they graduated together. Then show one more episode that has a time skip and show how everyone is successful in their dream job or something (as unrealistic as that setting might be)
I think one of their big mistakes was creating that game show to pick actors to put on Glee. I think it was called Project Glee or The Glee Project. Whatever it was called, it was just too much and then to see like half the cast end up the show even after they were eliminated just kinda took the point out. I think I would have liked some of their characters more if I had never seen that reality show.
I agree that Glee is one of the most inconsistent shows in history. But I have to disagree with your #3. The audience sees all the costumes and "show stopping numbers" but a lot of that is the element of fantasy in a musical. With the exception of a few specific performances (Bad Romance is a good example, and many regionals numbers), it's not real to the characters. They envision themselves in these costumes, with these props (and rain machines) but you're not supposed to think they're actually doing all that in their real life. It's elevated and demonstrative for the sake of the audience and the imagination; it's not reality. A great example is a lot of Artie's performances where he's dancing. It's not real, it's in his head. We're seeing what the characters envision for themselves. Sometimes they dream the impossible, and that's what we're watching.
Some of them are. The writers even make fun of it when becky jackson point out how sue was able to record a dream sequence song from kirt and blaine but never gets an answer
A great example is the Diva performance, you can see how they all get back to their seats and Emma continues her speech as if the performance never happened.
Agreed but also Sue pointed out alot of these inconsistentances with how the glee club was spending their budget ie; the light show in Santana and Ricky Martin's Spanish number
i haven’t watched yet but let me just add that mr. shue was so biased to rachel fin and only gave them the solos even when he constantly said that in glee everyone gets an equal chance. it made me so mad because mercedes was so much better (i know that was a storyline) but like come on she never got a solo and called mr. shue out on it and he said he would give her a solo but never did. it really made me hate him.
I mean it was a huge part of the plot....like all the other glee kids got upset about it and Mercedes, Tina, Quinn, Brittany, Kurt, and I think even Blaine at one point all have individual episodes where the premise is the story is how upset they are about it. So I definitely wouldn't call this a plot hole. Just an annoying issue that was frequently addressed but never fixed.
Well, Mercedes is a powerhouse of a singer but in terms of classic broadway songs and ballads, no one of the glee kids can hold a candle to Rachel. And William was shown to love broadway, maybe that's why. He felt connected to the songs Rachel excelled at? It's definitely biased though. And I hate how Finn got most solos because to me, he was the WEAKEST singer of all the glee kids. By far His voice felt average at best. I preferred anyone else's singing by a lot.
I agree... It's almost like 2 completely different shows. I feel like the show ended in season 3 and evergthing after was just a fan fiction induced fever dream. Lol
What made me lose interest in Glee is how they never have the balls to actually follow a storyline. They hint that something shocking is about to happen that would change the storyline completely, and in the next episode, it's like it never happened. For example, Will kicks Santana out of the Glee club in the premier episode of Season 3 in a very dramatic scene. Santana simply reappears in episode 3 like it never happened, with just one small, lame line to explain it. In Season 4, Joe and Sugar are nowhere to be seen during almost the entire season and reappear for the Regionals performance. But of course, what absolutely killed the show was that disasterous storyline of Season 5 and 6. Santana, who never showed interest in being in Broadway, suddenly wants to be Fanny more than anything. Later, Rachel, who always wanted to be Fanny more than anything, suddenly is not interested in it anymore, and throws it away for a cheap television show written by a lunatic, specifically after her boss told her that he would sue her and destroy her chances of ever working again on Broadway if she broke contract one more time. After all that, she still manages to go back to NYADA after quitting in a very disrespectful argument with Tibideaux at the same time she landed another Broadway main role. That would never happen in real life, she would have been blacklisted for life, pretty much the same way Cassandra was for doing much less than she did.
Cassandra stopped in the middle of a show to yell at the audience. Rachel missed ONE show (and was covered by Santana, so there wasn't any loss) and then quit (which is not breaking the contract, it's just ending it). How is that worse? Cassandra caused a public scandal, Rachel didn't. Santana's plot with Fanny I think it's more about her being competitive and not knowing what to di with her life than wanting to be Fanny. In fact, she never said she wanted the role. She auditioned for understudy and was happy with that until Rachel was a bitch about it; and then she decided to take the role just to piss Rachel off. Which is perfectly constant with her character. She also said in season 3 that she wanted to be famous, she didn't care how. Sure she learned after Britney leaked a sex video that she did care how; but part of that mentality is probably still with her. I fully agree with that part about hinting something's going to happen and then just ignoring it though. Like the example you gave with Santana; specially considering that they were going to have her join the Troubletones later on, so there was no reason to bring her back to ND; they already had the perfect reason to make her join the TT, why would they change that? Same goes for Quinn in NY, Ryder quiting ND and so many others.
Tell me about it. One episode has it being okay with artie not showing his body off for a calendar and another where everyone is mad that marley for not wearing skimpy lady gaga clothes
Zachary Vargas But the barley thing wasn't about the clothes. It was because she straight up refused to be Gaga. They did't have a problem with the clothes.
What about the fact that Mr.Schue speaks spanish perfectly in the first episode, and a couple later on in the first season but then apparently doesn't know how to speak it in later seasons? Or how about the fact that Shleby worked at McKinley then kinda dropped off the face of the earth until she appeared in New York in season 4? Or how about the fact that we never really see the Spanish teacher who replaces Mr. Schue again? Also how Rachel is a vegetarian but eats pepperoni pizza early on in the first season???
I'm Spanish and although it seemed like his Spanish was good it was really average and he made basic mistakes that a Spanish teacher wouldn't make at that level, so I can sort of believe that they had planned that part of the storyline
I agree. Some people seem to forget that we're talking about teenagers. Finn changing his mind as well as Ryder is just realistic. I don't know how often I changed my mind as a teenager but I'm living in a small town as well and sometimes I'm still not sure if I want to stay here or not.
Rory said half way through season 3 that he would have to leave back to Ireland next yr. and Rory was in an episode of season 4 for the Christmas special
mxn4719 wait i thought he just said that to get sugars attention and go to the valentines day dance with him, i didnt know that was all real and then he just disappeared and i was like “what?!l
Lol, these kinds of titles always anoys me. “Here are some information you haven’t noticied”. Bitch, what makes you think you know anything about my life?
What bothers me is that the only episode Mike got, was about him & the college he wanted to attend & Tina had a HUGE part in helping him get to that & then they basically break up the moment he gets in
i’ve seen so many comments saying “you forgot about when...” and honestly the amount of different situations is crazy, glee made no sense yet we all can’t help but continue to watch it lol
My top 2 inconsistencies: 1. WHAT HAPPENED TO KURTCEDES? 2. As soon as Kurt and Rachel move to NYC they start casually drinking alcohol in some scenes but even though they finished high school they’re still underage like wtf
Suzanne Cap ummm 1 not really like they were best friends and then just stopped basically and rarely have scenes together 2 that’s not what I meant: in season 2 they made a really big deal about underage drinking, Kurt didn’t even drink and then after high school they just drink like it’s not a big deal That’s what I meant
@@zoharsarig9474 If you're referring to Kurt being kinda berated by his dad, well yeah I took some issues with that. I thought he was overreacting a little because as Kurt said, he and Finn were the ONLY TWO who didn't drink at all.
Blaine's brother coming for one episode and then disappearing. Also, am I the only one who had a problem with the Glee club preferring to beat The Warblers after Sebastian almost blinded Blaine instead of turning him in for assault? Quinn friendships were also ignored. Her and Artie. Her and Mercedes. Her and Lauren. Literally anyone she bonded with that wasn't a member of the Unholy Trinity. The disappearing students. How did the students get away with throwing slushies in the Glee clubs faces? I don't think anyone got in trouble for it. Glee had a lot problems that were never resolved.
YES, YES, all of this!!! It always bugged me how they went through all of that work go go undercover and get Sebastian's confession on tape, but then virtually did nothing to convict him/bring justice to Blaine?? That was pointless and kinda annoying to watch. Also, you're right-Quinn could neverrr have a happy or thriving friendship w anyone outside of cheerios. I HATED that they completely shelved the Quinncedes friendship in S1 so quickly; after all, Mercedes took her in after being kicked out for getting pregnant. Smh!
@@mikaylagreenwood4428 I found it so unnerving. Like former friends or not, someone threw a rock salt slushie into your boyfriends eye. Beating them at nationals isn't a punishment. I want vengeance. And not to mention Quinn helped Mercedes was she was starving herself. She also had a moment with Lauren later on in the show that was never explored. Ryan Murphy did come out and say that he took things the cast did too personal and it showed in his writing.
Oh wow, I never even knew he said that! But come to think of it, I did see something recently that said Ryan Murphy did not like Dianna Agron so he portrayed that through his writing for her character (which is probably why Quinn appears less and less as seasons go on, her terrible storylines, etc)..Thanks for the information!!
Blaine's brother was a guest star to showcase a new actor and probably to add depth to Blaine's storyline. He was never meant to be a huge character. Literally every single show does this. It isn't an inconsistency, it is a way to add variety and depth.
@@pianoprincesse6754 I know his brother was a guest, but they had several other guests reappear on the show. Besides, that whole episode was practically dedicated to their relationship and them fixing it.
whys no one talking about the inconsistency in the competitions like season 1 it was like they didn't know what nationals was and then season 2 nationals was this massive thing that was impossible to even place and yet nationals in season 3 was literally out of three groups like how regionals in season 1 was. Also wtf is invitationals and why is it literally only in season 1
Season 1 had regionals as the big competition because of Figgins' ultimatum (he'll disband the club if they wouldn't win it). And because they were against Jesse and VA. In S2 they said nationals has two stages and that the top three get to perform again. So that must have been what happened during S3 E21
the fact that they won regionals on season 4 over a group that did everything better than them was so annoying. it seem like a pattern with FOX writers that most of the time screw continuity.
@@king-my3ps we don't talk about season 4... also, why create a whole new show choir to be the big enemy at nationals instead of bringing VA again? I never understood that (they are supposed to be one of the best why weren't they at regionals or nationals lmao)
The Rachel thing is a bit more complex I believe. Because from what I have read, initially she was planned to be really successful in New York and then in the finale she would come back to Ohio and to Finn and she would be "home". In the Quarterback episode she even says all this to Mr Schue. However after Finn died there wasn't much reason to keep the Ohio story lines so they were all wrapped up and the story shifted to New York. They needed a reason to get the story back to Ohio which is why I believe they had Rachel decide to start a tv show that flopped, forcing her to move back home where she became the teacher of the Glee Club. She took the place that would have been Finn's story arc. I think that's also why Kurt and Blaine initially broke up. An excuse to get more characters back in Ohio to help shift the story there If Cory Monteith hadn't passed away, the story would have progressed to Finn becoming a teacher and taking over the Glee club and Rachel wouldn't have suddenly given up on Broadway
CaitysRAWR I agree that the writers maybe had to switch the storyline back to Ohio but I believe there could’ve been a better way to do it. It feels like sloppy writing to me. Rachel’s character is based on her dreams of Broadway plus Fanny was her dream role. For Rachel to drop that role from the drop of a hat just because someone wrote a script for a potential episode of a show is bizarre to me. And there wasn’t anything that lead me to believe Rachel would want to drop the role as Fanny. There wasn’t any trouble with the cast since Santana dropped out, nor were there any conflicts since she dropped out of NYADA. I get it if they wanted Rachel to have a big downfall before rising up again or maybe even just to have an excuse for the show to move back to LIMA. but the way they went about it didn’t make sense. In all fairness, I loved season 6, i feel like that season went back to the show’s roots. But Rachel’s dramatic character change in season 5 was a big turn off for me and consequently, season 4 and 6 are my least liked seasons.
@@-.-2590 I agree with you. I think it didn't fit with her character at all and could have been written a lot better. But like I stated, they wanted to get the story moving back to Ohio. And having a suddenly re write the script would have been difficult. So we are left with what we got. It was sloppy and didn't make a lot of sense character wise, but it did the job
CaitysRAWR and also there wouldn’t have been a season 6 because they planned only 5 seasons and the final scene would have been exactly that. Rachel coming back to ohio and tellingly finn „I‘m home“ because it was all set and done. But then Cory died and they couldn’t let it stand like that obviously
I think the actor who played Unique or whatever his name was, was the runner-up but ended up being featured prominently. I'm not even sure if the winners fulfilled the number of episodes they were supposed to act in.
Rory Flanagan’s said that he applied to have his visa renewed to stay at McKinley for another year but it was denied, therefore after season 3 he went back to Ireland, but Joe and Sugar simply disappeared for episodes at a time
I’ve always believed that the reason that they had to have Rachel quit funny girl for her show and then have it drastically fail and ultimately go back to teaching at McKinley was because their plan for Finn’s character was to have him teaching the Glee club after Mr. Shue. But, since the actor who played Finn sadly passed away and all the other characters were already set in on their futures, they had to find a main character to bring back to McKinley to finish out the show. So of course, they chose Rachel. I think it’s very weird and they could’ve gone other directions but it’s whatever I guess
How about the fact Sues motivations changed literally every other episode. That’s the reason my family/friends all stopped watching because Sue was so inconsistent.
nigerianprincess101 that’s fine, but they can’t have her be this erratic character with no serious motivation and then expect us to take her seriously whenever it’s convenient for the plot. Like there can’t be a scene with her throwing someone down a flight of stairs and then a serious scene where she cries over Finns death. It makes no sense, and it’s inconsistent to the plot and character.
idk why no one ever mentions this, but remember when Rachel and Brody sang “Give Your Heart a Break?” that song is by Demi Lovato, but she appears in the next season as Dani
They’ve done it so many times where they mention a celebrity and then the celebrity joins the show as an original character in later seasons. Like Gwyneth Paltrow and John Stamos. Also, they do a lot of songs from rent and Wicked and I think it’s ironic both idina menzel and Kristen chynoweth are on the show.
Plot hole. HUGE one. Sue Sylvester openly abuses and hits/pushes kids...never gets in trouble for it. She'd have been fired from any real school. - Honestly, I believe Kurt and Rachel's parents paid for everything. At least Rachel's fathers are shown to be quite rich.
Well Sue winned a lot with her cheerios team, maybe thats why Figgins let her do whatever she wanted, because she gave a good "reputation" to his school. And in real life many schools dont care much about the emotional state of their students, as long as it doesnt affect them and doesnt destroy their good reputation.
It’s possible the Rachel’s parents paid for everything but I don’t think Kurt’s dad did because it seemed like his only income was the tire shop and I’m pretty sure that doesn’t pay very well
@@trinityrenee1036 Yeah but have you seen Kurt's clothes in season 1? He literally only wears designer clothes and his room or closet or whatever is giant. I am still confused as to HOW he was able to afford all that when their only income was a tire shop
Mourning Dove she was gonna ruin the performance because she’s felt like she was trapped but after the girls convinced her to get a hair cut instead which ruined what could have been a great plot and then it all goes bad for Quinn
yes. the hinting is subtle. 1. when mercedes says "like you eat", santana freezes. she always has a comeback but this time it hits too hard. 2. when rachel heard sunshine throwing up and assumed it was santana, implying that rachel has an idea that santana is doing this. 3. when mercedes asks santana and brittany how they stay skinny and they mention their liquid diets, mercedes says "that can't be healthy" and santana says "who cares? you [...] feel terrible and look great" 4. when mercedes was giving her speech before singing beautiful and said "how many of you feel fat" and the camera pans to santana who has a grave expression.
Tara Ravi I think that they were almost making light of the subject and hinting that every girl feels that way at some point, it’s not really a plot hole is more just wondering if it could be more
Remember this show happened during the writers strike, and a lot of writers left the show. They had many different writers during the whole show, so it's no wonder it was all over the place. Plus the creator was to focused on AHS later on to care about GLEE.
My top 3 inconsistencies: #1: Rachel’s dads going from tall dark skin black guy and small white Jewish guy, to freaking Jeff Goldblum and Trevor from The Fresh Prince (Brian Stokes Mitchell ) The whole point of the gag in S1 where Rachel says that she loves the fact she doesn’t know which one is her birth father is because one was obviously black and the other obviously white/Jewish. It’s not totally unbelievable that Brian Stokes Mitchell could be Rachel’s birth dad so now the gag makes no sense! #2 Quinn and Mercedes’ friendship. It was like, totally dropped after S1. It started with Quinn noticing Mercedes struggling with her “diet” and taking her aside and telling her that she didn’t need to starve herself to loose weight, that she knew what that was like, and that she was fine just the way she was. Then later in the season, Mercedes and her family literally took Quinn in and let her stay with them until she gave birth to Beth and her mother let her come back home. So, Quinn lives with Mercedes for at least a month or two, if not longer. If you let me live with you because I’m a pregnant and homeless teenager, you basically have my loyalty and friendship for life. WHAT HAPPENED? It is very very very lightly hinted at if you squint in the later seasons. #3: They know good and dern well that Blaine and Kurt were the same age and in the same grade. At first I even thought Blaine was older than Kurt because in the beginning they made it seem that way. Now, because all of their heavy hitting voice had to graduate, Blaine, Tina, and Artie are a year younger? Bitch where? Bonus: Sandy was fired and became a registered sex offender and wasn’t allowed to be within 500 ft or something of minors or wasn’t supposed to be on school grounds. Yet in multiple episodes including Night of Neglect he was at McKinley and even sponsored a club (The Heckling Club) Bonus bonus: Krofsky was originally on the hockey team early S1. Maybe he just quit and joined football, but I distinctly remember he was a hockey jock.
i’m pretty sure blaine and kurt were both juniors when they met (still making it possible for blaine to be older by a bit) but when blaine transferred he lost a year so when kurt moved up to senior year blaine had to redo his junior year
Blaine mentioned that his school credits didn't transfer well so he lost a year when he transferred to McKinley. This is pretty standard with kids that go from a private school to a public one and might explain why he couldn't just hop back over for his senior year.
The writers obviously didn't know how to made season 6 happen otherwise I think. Rachel made it to Broadway the character couldn't be developed any further
I couldn't even begin to understand why the whole “That's so Rachel" storyline even existed from the first place. Remember in season 3 when Finn convinced Rachel to move to L.A. after high school, then he told her she could be a Hollywood actress there, and she said a big no to the idea because she insisted on becoming a Broadway actress? Then season 5 came, Rachel was all of a sudden on board with the idea of becoming a Hollywood TV actress, when i saw it, i was like, wtf?!
I think that Rachel’s dream was just to be a star on a broadway show some day but maybe not forever. As she say it to mr shue for finn’s death episode, she say she was gonna be a star on broadway and then come back to Lima and live with Finn. I think that her dream came true when she booked funny girl and it was a hit and after that she just got “bored” because she had no more dreams (since Finn was dead and she couldn’t go back to Lima and build a family with him) so she just jumped on the first exiting thing she found. At least that how I see it even though at first I thought it was weird to.
Can we also talk about Finn that thought he was the father of Quinn’s baby? if only he had told someone how he believed he had gotten Quinn pregnant everything would have been discovered immediately
I can explain Quinn’s injury. Yes it was 5 Episodes later she recovered but season 3 regionals was set in Feb/March time, and the prom was in May. So that’s 2/3 months to recover. Remember the episodes can be far apart.
That makes sense. Even though the episodes were aired a month apart, it could have been much longer than that in the show, which would allow Quinn to regain her ability to walk over a long time period.
That's what I had thought too, although I admit that it still would've been nice to see them take that story further. At least through the rest of the season (like someone else commented). Or even KEEPING her in the wheelchair for the rest of her time on the series. I mean I think that would have put the stronger point across at the dangers of texting and driving or just not paying attention while driving in general. Just a though. :)
Sorry Alyssa but it couldn’t have been fall as the Christmas episode was before. Regionals is always set in Feb/March time. Except for season 1 where it was later on in the year. Especially since season 5 follows on from season 4.
i love sue always pointing out the inconsistencies like how joe and sugar kept mysteriously disappearing, how they don’t apply to college until like the day before graduation, how they somehow always travel back to lima despite school/work schedules and money and so on
Dude! It lasted for quite a few episodes which indicated a build up. Then she just confesses, cries and everyone moves on. Like, what?! That was intense and life threatening bullying and they just never addressed it again.
the show went downhill after ryder and the others came. i didn't like any of the new characters and the new "new directions" in the last season were the worst actors!
keri keeney i actually liked the new members in season six more than the new ones in season 5 it seemed like they were just trying to recreate the old members especially with Marley Ryder and Jake
@@adrianasegura4356 yeah, I get that. I didn't like that aspect of it, but I just felt like us as fans got more time to relate to the 4 & 5 members rather than the 6. Season 6 seemed so rushed to me, I dunno :/
@@kerikeeney6195 they just under developed the characters. Then we all went to new York and the show became "friends" for a few episodes. No ties to McKinley or the prior new characters. They lost their direction and season 5-6 was just a giant mess.
Ryan Murphy will completely derrail from a storyline just to insert shock value and/or social commentary. That (unnecessary) episode with the shooting was a great example. The messy pacing in AHS Freakshow, Hotel and Cult, are great examples too. He also fails to understand that he doesn''t know how to manage that many characters (Still annoyed by the blatant waste of Angela Bassett's talents in AHS Hotel. Jenna Ushkowitz and kevin mchale spent 6 years working on a show that gave one liners). Quinn remains one of the worst written characters in that show or any show (plans = Haircut, trying to steal a baby, that fight with santana on season 4 that came out of nowhere). Even Feud had problems with having way too many characters and cameos for no reason... And yet, somehow, i always go back to his shows. Whoever is doing his promotional work is a genius
Marcos Peguero Ryan has talent. But i think Ryan also takes on too much. He did glee AHS and Scream Queens all at the same time, he didn’t like Diana and didn’t really make that a secret... when it comes to AHS with the last three seasons alone he rushed it cause during Hotel he was doing American crime story and the second season of Scream Queens. Either he constantly had to change up characters cause he gets bored with them or a lot of them bleed into each other if you pay enough attention
Yeah he really didn't like her despite Dianna being a great actress. I know I found her far more compelling than the bland and vanilla Lea Michele. Ryan Murphy is incredibly inconsistent. It actually gives me some solace that he doesn't have complete control over Pose. That is an incredible show and his best for a long time. I've never watched AHS. Glee burned me out too much. I was hate watching by the end. The best of the cast were sidelined for the awful Chris Colfer and Lea was just awful.
@@rolandbaldwin theres this interesting thing with AHS, every concept for every season is incredibly promising (And when you see the trailers, the promotion for that show is out of this world), then it starts and it still good, but it kinda gets lost in the middle of the season and almost every season finale is beyond disappointing. Maybe he isnt outlinning what he wants to do during the whole season and just writing as they film. Nothing wrong with that, but that gives a bigger space for mistakes, inserting side stories that leave loose threads and cameos just for the sake of ratings rather than furthering the main plot (looking at you, Neil Patrick Harris on freakshow). Hes not inherently bad, but hes got to pick the things he wants to develop well, instead of wanting to do everything poorly.
@@rolandbaldwin and yes, Dianna is by far the best actress of that cast. Maybe not the best singer, but damn the girl can carry a scene all by herself.
can we also talk about how during their actual competitions, there’s only 3 groups performing and only 3 that go on stage for awards but when 3rd place gets announced, they’re all happy like they actually beat someone
SINGING IN THE RAIN Mr shuester says that they were going to sing that song for regionals but then right after he does that performance with Holly it's never brought up again
Most of those aren’t actually plot holes just things that aren’t fully explained and some idiot just can’t connect the dots Okay let’s debunk most of this. 1. The first season one invitationals had a full house, mostly be cause of April. The toxic riot was caused because of the sexyness not the performance that’s why it was so popular. 2. It was a joke simple as. Plus sue wasn’t serious especially as of her sister. 4. Ryan Murphy, just Ryan Murphy 5. Finns desire changes for two reasons number 1 it finally hit him how everyone, Rachel, Quinn and Kurt all going out on these big adventures he’s stuck as a failure. As when he finds out about the truth of his dads death he realises he doesn’t want to waste his life 5. COME ON! Did you even watch the seen where Quinn is crying and that you SHOW. Her plan was to break up Finn and Rachel and get the Glee club to disqualify by Will having to suspend them. Santana stops her. 6. The apartment was so cheap as they live in the worst neighbourhood in the city with really high crime rates, they are literally robbed at one point. There is no ‘constant’ trips back to Lima. Rachel returns once in season 4 and Cassandra July pays for it. Kurt does return in 4x21 but HIS DAD HAD CANCER. Anyone would find the money to go back. They only returned again for TQB again for a really important reason, Finns death. 8. Sugar motta’s dad is a billionaire funds most of the glee clubs activities from season 3 onwards including the Grease production. Season 1-2 is funded entirely by April. It is even mentioned in 5x13 100. The rain machine is also one of Sues old Cheerios props. Honourable mentions: Tina didn’t dump Artie and Mike. Artie literally confirms he dumped her in 6x08. Finn was lead to believe by will that ‘your the one that I want’ was his ‘audition.’ To see if he could sing. I would go on and do the others but I’m typing alone to the video so I can’t. I’m not saying the show is perfect, for from but there are MUCH bigger plot wholes in the show than these, example the season 4 sectionals situation, which where not written by someone who understands the show
Exactly! I agree with you! The one that was not necessarily a plot hole but just not character consistent was Rachel giving up her life dream of Broadway to go to television.
The joke about the special ed at the beginning of the show and when sue ran for Congress this was several years later at the end so it is possible that during this time the program could be cut
It wasn't cut, because in a later season, Ryder was evaluated by the special education director and diagnosed with dyslexia. So Sue had to be lying. Besides, it is federal law for all public schools to have special education programs.
@@mxn4719 He wasn't deported. He was an exchange student, and his plan all along was to stay in the United States for only one year. That's what exchange students do.
And what about glee club members? Some just disappeared for many episodes and came back just like that. And don't get me started on every competition in which they were miraculously 12 members as required by the books when only 5 rehearsed all year. And at one point there were 2 glee clubs! The new direction and the troubetones, and yet they were still struggling with having enough members to go to competitions...
Minoushka Mina I always wondered what happened to the black guy from season 1... I don’t even know if he ever had any solos... I just know he was in the competitions and wore a football jersey... 🤷🏼♀️
Glee should have ended with season 4 and at the end of it have the episodes where Rachel lands a role in Funny Girl and accomplishes her dreams, even tho it is too much of a happy ending, it is certainly better than what he got.
@@lisaarias4018 also in the episode Asian F, Mike and Tina talk about how she's been helping him with his singing
The way that some of these characters come and go during episodes even in the same season makes it very clear that it's contract limitations with the actors. I would have loved more thoughtful development of those characters instead of the overdone Finn/Rachel and Will/Emma stuff.
Sugar said in want episode “I want a solo too even though I can’t sing” she is in the club cause she donates to it or cause she can dance and sawy

SeoTaeYoon9 yeah except for when Blaine and Kurt broke up in season 6, they were always uncomfortable and even rude around each other until they got back together
Right! And everyone just dating their friends exes or their exes friends like it's nothing.
I think if Finn was able to get over his best friend getting his girlfriend pregnant they could get over just dating each other’s ex’s. There was tension between a few characters bc of relationships.
Finn and Puck didn’t get along for a full season

Oh yeah. Rachels broadway dreams thing and then going for a tv show after a week was crap indeed... one of the many plotholes😹😹
Can we talk about the random dancers that show up in their performances? They’re not actual characters, just people to dance with the group to make the stage look more full
Jamie_Jewel most schools have a dance team and they constantly used the Cheerios as backup dancers
The cheerios danced for them a lot which was pretty weird, didn't most of them hate the glee club?
Lauren Maybe they were girls that were still friends with Quinn, Brittany and Santana from when they were Cheerios?
Why is nobody talking about the last seasons creepy puppet sue in the fake elevator with blaine and kurt lmao
Becca I just saw that today..it was creepy as hell
because it’s hilarious although creepy
I FUCKING LOVED THAT
it just added on to the crack these writers were on during the creation of the show and i loved everything about that dumbass twist if u can even call it that
Becca I never understood why Sue was so obsessed with Klaine. It’s odd
Quinn and Mercedes friendship... what ever happened to that in season 1 at the end
The writers didn't know what to do with their characters anymore which is why Quinn came back to the cherios since nothing was going along after the baby. Mercedes' was almost glossed over that the writers decided to give her a bf. Idk the writers were just not consistent with all the characters.
They used to live together because Quinn’s parents disowned her so when did she stop living with Mercedes??
jacknjillzzz zzz during the season 1 finale Quinn’s mom told her she could move back in after she told Quinn that her and her father were getting a divorce
Quinn became a total bitch again when she moved back with her mom
I wanna know what happened to Kurt and Mercedes. They were basically inseparable in the beginning of the show. Even when Kurt and Blaine met Mercedes was still there. Kurt, Mercedes and Rachel hang out together a few times but when Kurt and Rachel discover NYADA, They just leave Mercedes in the dust. I was really hoping to see Kurt and Mercedes friendship the way it was in the beginning of the show when Mercedes also went to New York.
how brittany suddenly became a math genius is beyond me
Actually I liked that part.
I think it was meant to be a joke.
the same way kel from kenan and kel is actually a genius
Right?!?!
Neither do I
How they can leave college/jobs and go back to Lima. All the time.
They poke fun at that constantly 😂. Sue often mentions how certain past graduates can just drop what they are doing and teleport with unlimited money to go to and from lima when everyone now lives on the coasts 🤣
Teenwolf2013 that’s why glee is amazing cause they poke fun at their own flaws 😂
Kinta1112 honestly one of the best parts of the show! I loved sues rant to will, on how he treats the rest of the members of glee and only fixated on Finn and Rachel and never acknowledged how fantastic a high school band could play literally any song on a drop of a dime most times and brad 😂
Kinta1112 It’s funny when they do that yet they still never cared about fixing the flaws.
Me thinking: I live 10 minutes from Lima Ohio
and would never want to return 😂
what about how Blaine was in his junior year when he met Kurt and then he was supposedly still in his junior yr when everyone else graduated?
He must have failed a bunch of classes since he had to drive 2 hours to and from school and dedicated so much time to the Glee club.
he was a junior member of the warblers, meaning he was a sophomore in school (its confusing ik but junior member i assume just means a freshman or sophomore)
Idk maby he fell behind 😂😂😂 or they have a different education system at Dalton and they had to 😂🤔
before i transferred to a different school i was a softmore, and then when i transferred to my school that i'm in now, i was a freshman because my old school's system had a different education system than my last school
Poor Trouty Mouth.
Yeah when Finn took Ryder to get tests taken and he tells Finn he is dyslexic, Finn doesn't mention anything about Sam even though Sam told him right off the bat that he had dyslexia. When I was watching that I was just waiting for Finn to mention Sam but he never did.
estupendo omg! I 4gotten about that!😮😮😮
what about Sam's characterisation? at first it is said that he is dyslexic, and then never mentioned again, but he is also introduced as somewhat of a nerd who watched avatar six times and decided to learn na'vi... then all of a sudden he's completely stupid and doesn't know what a debate is? I mean, I love Sam, but it seems like the writers just kind of dumbed him down so he could be with Brittany.
but also... after season three... where does Sam live? They never mentioned where Sam stayed, because I assume his family are still in Kentucky, so did he still room with the Hudson-Hummels?
Isnt Ryder dyslexlic
Actually sam was always dumb, in season 2 he was just as gullible as brittney, he even told rachel that he was not supposed to talk to her because she would steal his pot of gold( which santana told him and he believed ) and he probably learned navi while watching avatar. Also being dyslexic doesn’t mean he wouldnt be able to learn another language, it would just make it more difficult....not impossible
@@kizzyharris5079 I was gonna argue, but then I realised that every point I was about to make just backed up your comment 😂 so thank you for educating me
I guess I'm just mostly bummed out that they never mentioned his dyslexia again, especially with Ryder's storyline
@@kizzyharris5079 wasn't that Rory? i may be wrong though(the pot of gold)
Seishpai xox you are wrong. Was not rory this happened in season 2 when santana and sam dated
My favorite is that Blaine is supposed to be more mature and actually older than Kurt when they meet. Lol
No he wasn't. He was always younger. Just had a higher level of maturity due to previous life experiences
@@marciabragan-boucher2256 They never established that he was younger in season 2 though, they just randomly made him younger because they wanted him in Lima during season 4
And then he regresses throughout the seasons becoming immature
They said he was a senior while Kurt was a junior in season 2
James Henry II he was junior the year Kurt transferred, and then he was junior again when he started At McKinley the next year. It was so confusing! I also agree that hey just magically made him younger than Kurt.
Didn't Quinn mention a professor she was dating at Yale who was divorcing his wife to be with her? What happened to him and that?
Also... WHAT HAPPENED TO SUE'S BABY?! Baby Robin just disappeared...
Lori Hickman they broke up, there was an entire episode on that. And she gave birth and has Down syndrome

I was gonna say the young girl who Emma was holding but I assume it’s will and Emma’s so
Sheart 88 Will and Emma had a son
Coolichan yeah but in the last ep there is a young girl who also looks like there child
I lowkey always assumed that all the big budget singing things like at the end of the shows where like a dream sequence
Me too...but then Sue actually references some of them (like the Roar performance) and then there's the Lady Gaga set in season 5 which definitely was real.
April roades funds the glee club from season 2 until half way through season 5
Same.
I always thought we were supposed to suspend disbelief.
hey also show that some are imagined when i think it was season 6 sue and will have an imaginary guitar battle and thes catch them and say it was weird
Probably didn't want more drama due to it
I know, it was the perfect storyline for kitty and ryder to start a relationship
I mean considering how long ago it was there definitely couldn't have been any legal action but yeah Will surely should have approached him for counseling or something. That detail is so underplayed that I forgot it happened until I saw this comment
And didn't Brittney mention being molested at one point as well?
What episode was that again? I haven’t watched glee in like 4 months and I forgot.. :/
how theres musicians just sitting there in every episode ready for the cast to start singing whenever. they dont even need sheet music and it seems like whenever someone wants to spontaniously belt out a note theyre ready to go.
They discuss that already

quinn was a natural brunette when they discovered her old self with a big nose and fat, but when she had her baby they said the baby “looked like her” but she looked like the changed quinn, not the og brunettes one
Idk well Quinn's mom was blonde, so maybe that's where the gene came from
The Lucy Caboosey story made no sense.
People that are brunette can be born with blond hair that turns darker through the years.
you guys. recessive genes. there’s plenty of blonde jewish people and quinn’s parents are both blonde, it’s not unlikely that they both carried the recessive gene and passed it down.

A few I noticed:
Number 2 !!!!! Exactly I was like wait I thought she was rich or something lol
No no. Even is the first season his Spanish sucked lol
I just rewatched the first episode and 10000x mistakes
Possible explanations for Santana & her dad:
You could've made a top 100 out of this.
Prometheus I see you in every video.
Prometheus top 200
She did go back to it though cause on the final episode she get a a award for being in some Broadway performance
Actually it made since, Rachel likes to be in the spotlight and tv has a bigger spotlight then broadway, so of course she left the musical to chase after a bigger spotlight
and lets not forget that she went back to broadway in Jessies show and then won a Tony
The fuss was forgotten promptly as soon as season 2 started, and they did not interact again.
mercedes in a whole was forgotten after season 2 tbh (which I hate from the bottom of my heart)
i still think blaine cheating on kurt in 4x04 is the most out of character thing this show ever pulled. he transferred to mckinley to be with kurt. no one who's THAT in love would even THINK about cheating on their partner.
Just because somone is nice or super inlove doesn't mean they're incapable of cheating. Specially since it was years after.
Cheating isn't some trait only a few people have. Cheating isn't "out of character". Someone who seems so in love and devoted can cheat.
I'm still so mad about that choice..
You must be 15 and naive. Loneliness can drive a person to cheat. Real life isn't all sunshine, lollipops and rainbows.
She got her DREAM ROLE on BROADWAY and then QUIT?? ugh
yea like wen she still gets him a seat for her show wen hes gone. that said alot about how much she missed him. i actually cried

ALSO, COACH BIESTE. When his character was introduced, his whole thing was, he could look like that and still get a man. He loved men, He always said that and then we get to season 6 he didn’t feel like her self and now he’s trans. I didn’t understand that character change
Naomi Riggins exactly. This still bothers me to this day

Tekkie74 Exactly! They totally disregarded her eating disorder
Or dress like that after a year because recovery is hard as hell and you're always going to be self-conscious. Idk if I spelled that right conscious right... But regardless, it's been more than a couple years and I still can't dress like that without wanting to relapse completely.
Disagree.
One of her dads was black. Check out the actor who plays him - Brian Stokes Mitchell
There was a probably a divorce and then one remarried?
Also in the pilot Rachel explains that her dads both put their sperm into the tube for artificial insamination and then in the same season she suddenly becomes Shelby's accident baby.
They did change the dads after the 1st season but the actor(s) that played LeRoy were both black. They looked nothing alike but both were black men.
Thats just how pilots work in gossip girl blair’s mom its not the same one from the pilot
Pretty sure there is a storyline that shows that the glee club is being funded by Will's friend (Kristen Chenowith - spelling?)'s character.
You’re reaching with the apartment thing lol
The performances get funded from April Rhodes as she put 2.5 million dollars towards having the auditorium and in an episode sue says the budget was finished because they spent so much money on performances, costumes, props etc
April payed for glee from season 2-5
Also, Sam being hypnotized by Sue to make him date Rachel and suddenly Jesse shows up and the season ends???????
You know what, let me rephrase: also, season six??????
Season six existed literally just too properly end the show. Sue mentions something about network and budget in her hurt locker about midway through.
i think they added in jesse at the end to fill in for finn which is pretty sad
Same
Ellen Spear yes it’s always been a great mess
How did yall not mention the fact that Joe and Sugar both disappeared with out any explanation!! 😂😂
Agree
I want to say that they probably disappeared after Glee was shut down and the show moved solely to NY for the remainder of the season and pretty much ALL the McKinley students were never seen again other than a few (until the final episode), but I know I could be very wrong on that.... it has (admittedly) been a very long time since I've watched the show... someone remind me when they seem to disappear if it wasn't at that point please? Thanks!
Well after the 5th season, when glee cub was shut down, sue made anyone that was apart of glee transfer
All glee members were transferred out except kitty who sue needed for Cheerios it was explained in season 6
all the girls of the original club i think
He kissed ALL the original members
Trouty *
he kissed all of them
I was actually trying to figure out who he hadn't kissed lol
Everything Sue says about her age is bulshitting, we can't believe everything she says😂
@@LiviaAndrade1 the show exposes in season 6 that sue is an impulsive liar and almost everything shes ever said was a lie
Any young person who dreams of performing is going to have those fantasies.
htarceno Thomas yeah , that’s cool way to look at it .
April Rhodes gave them money for glee club and has reserved the auditorium forever
That was the deal at the beginning, but as the seasons went on, the musical numbers ended up being mostly supposed to have happened, and not just the plausible ones.
Mutant X that was before they were winning idiot.
It was so obvious Finn was lying when he said "The song I auditioned for Glee Club was from Grease, remember?" And Mr. Schue went along with the lie, because both of them knew what really happened but didn't want to admit it in front of the others.
Omg that’s true I’ve never looked at it that way!
Ryder’s entire character was just dead story lines. They’d make something interesting about him or involving him, then drop it completely.
I feel like they quickly realized that The Glee Project was a big mistake xD
that was honestly tho only because he won the glee project and the script was already written when he won so they literally threw his character in
Ikr ,, I absolutely love Ryder and he could have been an amazing character!!
Don't blame The Glee Project. The writers are to blame. And Blake Jenner should not have won. There were those who were not only better, but they would have had characters who would not be as boring as Ryder.
Alex Gu sis i religiously watched the glee project when it came out. blake jenner deserves that spot pls fight me
Actually in episode 100, it is explained that April Rhodes was funding the Glee Club for a while. Also, they make their costumes. As for the rain machine, I'm guessing Sue decided she needed it for the cheerios and Will just decided to use it.
yesss, i love april
I came in to say that!!!
they could be reusing old costumes and set pieces as well. i know at my school we have a pretty well funded arts program but any chance we get we use old scenery, props, and costumes and try to not make too much new stuff, but it’s inevitable that we won’t have a major scene piece (we unscrew & repaint things for different shows as well, so when we need to build things we have materials ready instead of having to buy new ones all the time) so when they did rocky horror and grease, some of that was probably the same wood just repainted.
Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s all in their imagination cause the cuts to songs and all the outfits and such
"Making their costumes" would still cost them, since clothes could need to be dyed, cut, sewn together, tightened, customized, and all of that costs material. Most of those things can't be fully recycled every time either, so you only get one to two transformations tops per piece of clothing. It MIGHT be cheaper to buy some costumes instead of making them, but that is still money being spent.
Whatever happened to Kurt’s band?
What happened to Dani?
What happened to Sam and Rachael’s relationship?
This list could go on and on.
Fiona Davey I LOVED DANI!!! mostly cause I’m a Demi Stan but still.
Pamela Lansbury shrank into One Three Hill (retaining Kurt, Dani, and Elliott) because of Rachel and Santana’s feud, and it was later mentioned what Dani was doing.
tbh i was glad they forgot about the band, didnt really like the characters in it. dani was really annoying too lmao
I think with dani her and Santana broke up and then she quit but it doesn't say it in the show
Quinn’s plots were always so inconsistent
Rachel literally says her dads would pay her rent for as long as she wants right before she starts working with Santana
omg I was looking for this answer
Almendra González she said she wanted the struggling experience, the privilege she has is astonishing 😂
what about how glee could rarely get new people to join the club but when the trouble tones started they got enough people over night
Gianna Melella cherrios
Santana was the captain of the Cheerios. She was still popular so she probably asked some of them to join so they would have enough members
i think that the reason why ppl didnt want to join the glee club was the fact that most of their member were "loser". whiles in the trouble tones all the former member were pretty popular
The troubltone were filled with hot popular girls ofcourse people joined on the other hand glee club were seen as losers soo
Cuz the people in the troubletones weren't annoying
This is just a joke
Oh my gosh yes! When it showed Sue with that hair I was like "what the heck?!"
i'm pretty sure the thing sue said about her hair not being able to grow and stuff was a lie, but i always could be wrong
gingerbreadismybuddy oh yeah
Gary Allen yes because after she is shown with the long hair, she takes out scissors so it’s inferred by the audience that she cut it off

Anyways, I wouldn't put it past Sue to have made up some "tragic backstory" as an excuse for hating Will.
What about the fact that characters seem to completely disappear from the show and then pop up at regionals or sectionals, like Joe or Sugar?

Daniel Parish no that was figgins telling tina she can’t wear “gothic” clothes
I thought it had to do with Sue becoming codirectors with Will.
Also Say a little prayer was on the list
Did it seriously bother anyone else that the McKinley High Glee Club could have become so freakin popular if they had just simply recorded all of those great performances that they did for _absolutely nobody_ and posted them on a YT account or something?
Dude you're a genius
Right?! And again with budget thing...if they don’t have money why the hell are they doing random performances with extravagant props that come out of NOWHERE for absolutely no one😂 no wonder they’re “broke”
@@rinnittt I believe many of the random performances were fantasy sequences, so the extravagant props didn't actually exist.
Glee had such a weird relationship with how much the outside world knew them. Sam put Mercedes Disco Inferno on UA-cam and at the beginning of season 3 Kurt mentioned the Finchel kiss being online
Sweetheart that was 2009 youtube was barely existent then, much like light bulbs and electricity.
What about Quinn’s baby? She just completely forgot about her after season 3.
Janessa Hernandez Quinn wasn’t given an screen time after season 3. It was resolved in season 3 that Quinn was happy to let Shelby fully have Beth as she was to one who could provide for her especially as Quinn was in Yale.
Janessa Hernandez Shelby mentions her in 4x19 sweet dreams
Or the fact that she gave birth to Beth during Vocal Adrenaline’s Bohemian Rhapsody performance? Talk about a short labour.....
She got adopted by Idina Menzel since she never got the chance to be a mother to Rachel due to the closed adoption policy with Rachel’s dads
Garrett Abben I bet all moms wish labour could be that short
Absolutely ADORED this show but really feel it should have ended when the majority graduated. The newer members of the cast were poor actors and the storylines became more and more dull!
not sure i would necessarily agree that they're bad actors they just weren't given a lot of time to work with their characters and develop them because they didn;t have many scenes and were basically only there so that another glee club could exist. cos lets face it the show is about rachel and her friends the others are just extras
yea I agree. the only reason why I kept on watching the show was for Klaine
He blinked
Michelle P. Carter I thought they actually do it- The show explained that they make most of the costumes themselves
I mean you would expect people to show up at the competition.
Some of them are. The writers even make fun of it when becky jackson point out how sue was able to record a dream sequence song from kirt and blaine but never gets an answer
A great example is the Diva performance, you can see how they all get back to their seats and Emma continues her speech as if the performance never happened.
Agreed but also Sue pointed out alot of these inconsistentances with how the glee club was spending their budget ie; the light show in Santana and Ricky Martin's Spanish number
i haven’t watched yet but let me just add that mr. shue was so biased to rachel fin and only gave them the solos even when he constantly said that in glee everyone gets an equal chance. it made me so mad because mercedes was so much better (i know that was a storyline) but like come on she never got a solo and called mr. shue out on it and he said he would give her a solo but never did. it really made me hate him.
cool I’ve loved Brittney’s voice from the beginning, but I was mad that all they really used her for was dancing around in front of Rachel and Fin
Same!! I thought that would really change when they didn’t just give Mercedes the Maria part in WSS, but even then there wasn’t a change. Oh well 🤷♀️
Well, Mercedes is a powerhouse of a singer but in terms of classic broadway songs and ballads, no one of the glee kids can hold a candle to Rachel.
Glee was glee until the end of season 3...
atousa mas yeah, I mean, I guess you could push it to season 4 but I agree
I agree... It's almost like 2 completely different shows. I feel like the show ended in season 3 and evergthing after was just a fan fiction induced fever dream. Lol
@Rat yea I agree
I like seasons 4 and 5.
. .. But we do NOT speak of season 6
@@hiraeth4801 yess!! season 6 never happened.
I forgot about that Santana getting kicked out thing until just now. I remember being so confused.
I almost think you need a Blog.
All true
preach pls
Same goes for Quinn in NY, Ryder quiting ND and so many others.
the character developments were always very inconsistent as well😂
Tell me about it. One episode has it being okay with artie not showing his body off for a calendar and another where everyone is mad that marley for not wearing skimpy lady gaga clothes
Quinn was rebooted every season apprently
Zachary Vargas
But the barley thing wasn't about the clothes. It was because she straight up refused to be Gaga. They did't have a problem with the clothes.
I was gonna like but its at 666 so no
Love how the entire comment section is filled with people that have been waiting to voice the outrageous plot holes loool
LMAOOOOOOOOOOO
True there’s a lot tho
What about the fact that Mr.Schue speaks spanish perfectly in the first episode, and a couple later on in the first season but then apparently doesn't know how to speak it in later seasons? Or how about the fact that Shleby worked at McKinley then kinda dropped off the face of the earth until she appeared in New York in season 4? Or how about the fact that we never really see the Spanish teacher who replaces Mr. Schue again? Also how Rachel is a vegetarian but eats pepperoni pizza early on in the first season???
77Amnita as a Vegetarian you do eat pizza. Peperonis are vegetables 😂
Josh ifer what? Sorry to break it to you but it’s literally pork and beef 😂
I'm Spanish and although it seemed like his Spanish was good it was really average and he made basic mistakes that a Spanish teacher wouldn't make at that level, so I can sort of believe that they had planned that part of the storyline
Josh ifer do you think he meant peppers?? No pepperoni is meat lmao
@@joshifer1830 Pepperoni....not peppers....moron... 😒
Finn going back and forth about leaving Ohio is the most realistic thing about Glee being set in Lima Ohio
I agree. Some people seem to forget that we're talking about teenagers. Finn changing his mind as well as Ryder is just realistic. I don't know how often I changed my mind as a teenager but I'm living in a small town as well and sometimes I'm still not sure if I want to stay here or not.
What ever happened to Rory they never said goodbye to him he was just gone
They did he even sung about going back home in "goodbye"
Rory said half way through season 3 that he would have to leave back to Ireland next yr. and Rory was in an episode of season 4 for the Christmas special

My top 2 inconsistencies:
1. WHAT HAPPENED TO KURTCEDES?
2. As soon as Kurt and Rachel move to NYC they start casually drinking alcohol in some scenes but even though they finished high school they’re still underage like wtf
Suzanne Cap ummm
1 not really like they were best friends and then just stopped basically and rarely have scenes together
2 that’s not what I meant: in season 2 they made a really big deal about underage drinking, Kurt didn’t even drink and then after high school they just drink like it’s not a big deal
That’s what I meant
@@zoharsarig9474 If you're referring to Kurt being kinda berated by his dad, well yeah I took some issues with that. I thought he was overreacting a little because as Kurt said, he and Finn were the ONLY TWO who didn't drink at all.
Zohar Sarig kurtcedes fell out in like season 1 when Kurt didn’t like her
They learned to drink in moderation? Lol
Madison M yeah Kurt loved her
Blaine's brother coming for one episode and then disappearing.
Invitationals are still a mistery to me
The Rachel thing is a bit more complex I believe. An excuse to get more characters back in Ohio to help shift the story there
If Cory Monteith hadn't passed away, the story would have progressed to Finn becoming a teacher and taking over the Glee club and Rachel wouldn't have suddenly given up on Broadway
The winners of that Glee contest show ended up not being featured prominently in the show (recall the Irish guy and the dreadlocks guy).
I think the actor who played Unique or whatever his name was, was the runner-up but ended up being featured prominently. I'm not even sure if the winners fulfilled the number of episodes they were supposed to act in.
They each won 9 episodes. They fulfilled that.
Buenomars actually they both got more because Samuel was in 23 and Damian was in 18.
Rory Flanagan’s said that he applied to have his visa renewed to stay at McKinley for another year but it was denied, therefore after season 3 he went back to Ireland, but Joe and Sugar simply disappeared for episodes at a time
The actor who played Rory was already in a group called Celtic thunder for four years before Glee he's still a part of the group today.
The last few seasons got messy, especially the last one. Sue’s drones, levitating and hypnotising Sam was so strange
Ryan Murphy said that Sam was the one who was supposed to take over Finn's role as the teacher of Glee club,
Whoops!
But that was until the end of season 6, in the beginning of that season, there’s no glee club at McKinley until Rachel opens it up again
That’s honestly a good opinion. Never would’ve realized
How about the fact Sues motivations changed literally every other episode. That’s the reason my family/friends all stopped watching because Sue was so inconsistent.
I still can't tell whether I like her or not.
bannokelly18 the worst was when she was an underground alkaline fan. Stupid as hell
i loved that tbh, i think it’s part of what made her character so hilarious, her unpredictability
Hamiltrash Winchester that was in season 6 I believe. When they truly ran out of ideas
nigerianprincess101 that’s fine, but they can’t have her be this erratic character with no serious motivation and then expect us to take her seriously whenever it’s convenient for the plot.
She got away with way too much, any other teacher wouldn’t have just been fired but also arrested!
SH didn’t he say he made most of his clothes?
Dude, it's 2018 and there are still videos coming out about Glee! But I like it
"My big plans for New York would've been ruined"
"What plans?"
"You'll see."
And we never did see
Legend has it that scientists are still trying to figure out what she meant 😂
Mourning Dove she was gonna ruin the performance because she’s felt like she was trapped but after the girls convinced her to get a hair cut instead which ruined what could have been a great plot and then it all goes bad for Quinn
Santana figures out that the big plans are to sabotage the performance as revenge on Rachel and Fin and talks her out of it.
You guys should make a video like this for Pretty Little Liars cuz there are tons of plot holes in that show lol.
They'd need more than one though, they'd need a whole series LOL
What about Santana’s anorexia, which was hinted at but never happened
Kim Benny when was that ever hinted?
Lexi Cannan thinks she means that Mercedes quote „like u eat.“
yes. the hinting is subtle.
1. when mercedes says "like you eat", santana freezes. she always has a comeback but this time it hits too hard.
2. when rachel heard sunshine throwing up and assumed it was santana, implying that rachel has an idea that santana is doing this.
3. when mercedes asks santana and brittany how they stay skinny and they mention their liquid diets, mercedes says "that can't be healthy" and santana says "who cares? you [...] feel terrible and look great"
4. when mercedes was giving her speech before singing beautiful and said "how many of you feel fat" and the camera pans to santana who has a grave expression.
Tara Ravi I think that they were almost making light of the subject and hinting that every girl feels that way at some point, it’s not really a plot hole is more just wondering if it could be more
@@Littlemartian1865 But the focus it's especially on Santana not other girls and I don't think everyone feels like this
Remember this show happened during the writers strike, and a lot of writers left the show. They had many different writers during the whole show, so it's no wonder it was all over the place.
Plus the creator was to focused on AHS later on to care about GLEE.
The writers strike was before
My top 3 inconsistencies:
#1: Rachel’s dads going from tall dark skin black guy and small white Jewish guy, to freaking Jeff Goldblum and Trevor from The Fresh Prince (Brian Stokes Mitchell ) The whole point of the gag in S1 where Rachel says that she loves the fact she doesn’t know which one is her birth father is because one was obviously black and the other obviously white/Jewish.
Yet in multiple episodes including Night of Neglect he was at McKinley and even sponsored a club (The Heckling Club)
Bonus bonus: Krofsky was originally on the hockey team early S1. Maybe he just quit and joined football, but I distinctly remember he was a hockey jock.
He could play both, football and hockey seasons are different from each other
It was said earlier in the show that Artie and Tina were a year younger. The Blaine thing on the other hand.. yeah that doesn't make sense
i’m pretty sure blaine and kurt were both juniors when they met (still making it possible for blaine to be older by a bit) but when blaine transferred he lost a year so when kurt moved up to senior year blaine had to redo his junior year
Blaine was always younger
Blaine mentioned that his school credits didn't transfer well so he lost a year when he transferred to McKinley. This is pretty standard with kids that go from a private school to a public one and might explain why he couldn't just hop back over for his senior year.
Yes! Totally agree with #1!!!! It actually felt like a betrayal.
it did
The writers obviously didn't know how to made season 6 happen otherwise I think.
Agree! For 4 seasons, Rachel goes on and on about being the next Babs and she succeeds but then all of a sudden it's not good enough. What?
I think that Rachel’s dream was just to be a star on a broadway show some day but maybe not forever. As she say it to mr shue for finn’s death episode, she say she was gonna be a star on broadway and then come back to Lima and live with Finn. I think that her dream came true when she booked funny girl and it was a hit and after that she just got “bored” because she had no more dreams (since Finn was dead and she couldn’t go back to Lima and build a family with him) so she just jumped on the first exiting thing she found. At least that how I see it even though at first I thought it was weird to.
Can we also talk about Finn that thought he was the father of Quinn’s baby? if only he had told someone how he believed he had gotten Quinn pregnant everything would have been discovered immediately
then after discovering the truth and everything he FORGIVES her and starts dating her again???? wtf
She also had lots of Physical Therapy
I work in a rehab center- it’s possible to make that progress if there was several months of therapy
Especially since season 5 follows on from season 4.
i love sue always pointing out the inconsistencies like how joe and sugar kept mysteriously disappearing, how they don’t apply to college until like the day before graduation, how they somehow always travel back to lima despite school/work schedules and money and so on
don't forget when kitty gave Marley an ed and never got blamed for it
Dude! It lasted for quite a few episodes which indicated a build up. Then she just confesses, cries and everyone moves on. Like, what?! That was intense and life threatening bullying and they just never addressed it again.
Or when Ryder was molested and no one cared except kitty that was one of the worst scenes it tv history
the show went downhill after ryder and the others came. i didn't like any of the new characters and the new "new directions" in the last season were the worst actors!
I didnt mind Ryder and the other Glee members that came in season 4 & 5... But the Glee members in season 6 were awful.
I really enjoyed Marley, I was upset that she just kinda dropped out of the club and she wasnt in the final episode.
keri keeney i actually liked the new members in season six more than the new ones in season 5 it seemed like they were just trying to recreate the old members especially with Marley Ryder and Jake
I agree even though Feud was really good.
can we also talk about how during their actual competitions, there’s only 3 groups performing and only 3 that go on stage for awards but when 3rd place gets announced, they’re all happy like they actually beat someone
Lmaoo
I THINK ABOUT THIS ALL THE DAMN TIME IT ANNOYS ME SO FCKN MUCH
SINGING IN THE RAIN
Mr shuester says that they were going to sing that song for regionals but then right after he does that performance with Holly it's never brought up again
Kermit the - MOOD he does that a lot, he will say “we found our song for regionals” and then it never happens
usually if they perform it out of the actual contests it never goes through. just like how proud mary and that whole set list was scratched due to sue
Lol #1 should be how they never explained where all the missing characters went like Samuel,Sugar , Starchild and Demi Lovato’s character
and Joe
Peach Cola sugar as well as the other glee kids from s4 were kicked out of the school by sue when she took over
Me: no way I missed something I’ve watched it front and back 7 times
Ms mojo: *says stuff I noticed when I was nine*
Me: 🤦🏽♀️
Most of those aren’t actually plot holes just things that aren’t fully explained and some idiot just can’t connect the dots
Okay let’s debunk most of this.
1. The first season one invitationals had a full house, mostly be cause of April. The toxic riot was caused because of the sexyness not the performance that’s why it was so popular.
2. It was a joke simple as. Plus sue wasn’t serious especially as of her sister.
4. Ryan Murphy, just Ryan Murphy
5. Finns desire changes for two reasons number 1 it finally hit him how everyone, Rachel, Quinn and Kurt all going out on these big adventures he’s stuck as a failure. As when he finds out about the truth of his dads death he realises he doesn’t want to waste his life
Honourable mentions:
Tina didn’t dump Artie and Mike. Artie literally confirms he dumped her in 6x08.
Finn was lead to believe by will that ‘your the one that I want’ was his ‘audition.’ To see if he could sing.
I would go on and do the others but I’m typing alone to the video so I can’t. I’m not saying the show is perfect, for from but there are MUCH bigger plot wholes in the show than these, example the season 4 sectionals situation, which where not written by someone who understands the show
A plothole is something that can't be explained and doesn't make sense......so most of these could be seen as such even if you "try" to explain it.
Meg Morrell
i want to copy, paste, & REPOST a LOT of this for MS. MOJO, who OBVIOUSLY didn't pay attention to Quinn, AT ALL!!!! "A haircut"? smh.
Yuuuup. Context makes things so much better.
Exactly! I agree with you! The one that was not necessarily a plot hole but just not character consistent was Rachel giving up her life dream of Broadway to go to television.
Thank you!
What about the Irish guy?? He said he was going to be deported but then he still stays through the other seasons?? They never actually talk about it.
No he didn’t stay.. rory was in season 3 and the Christmas episode in season 4 but that’s it
He was deported he literally never came back apart from the Christmas episode of season 4 in artie’s dream
@@mxn4719 He wasn't deported. He was an exchange student, and his plan all along was to stay in the United States for only one year. That's what exchange students do.
Didn't he lie about being deported to get sugar to date him?
And what about glee club members? Some just disappeared for many episodes and came back just like that. And don't get me started on every competition in which they were miraculously 12 members as required by the books when only 5 rehearsed all year. And at one point there were 2 glee clubs! The new direction and the troubetones, and yet they were still struggling with having enough members to go to competitions...
Minoushka Mina I always wondered what happened to the black guy from season 1... I don’t even know if he ever had any solos... I just know he was in the competitions and wore a football jersey... 🤷🏼♀️
@@Bowiebonolennon1982 they said in season 2 he gratuated🤷
who?
Minoushka Mina they said e he transferred schools I thought
Or how the glee club struggled to get members but when the troubletones appeared NO ISSUES getting enough people to compete
Glee should have ended with season 4 and at the end of it have the episodes where Rachel lands a role in Funny Girl and accomplishes her dreams, even tho it is too much of a happy ending, it is certainly better than what he got.
