During season 1 of Glee Amber Riley who played Mercedes Jones said during the regionals scene , they shot 2 endings , one where they lost and one where they won . I like the ending they choose to put on the show because it to me it shows that just because they’re the underdogs they shouldn’t have to win just because it’s there first competition .
I'm pretty sure Ryan Murphy decided to shoot two endings because he didn't know if Glee was going to be renewed for a 2nd season at the time of the recording
@@milesdelis Yeah, they shot the ending where they didn't win because they had just found out that Glee got renewed for a second season so they had a plot already set out for them for S2
I'm glad they did that because it's way too cliche to build up to a competition and then obviously win. The ending did tie everything up and show that even though you didn't win, you still are talented and good at what you do

I really think "Sexy" should've been on there. All the covers in that episode are AMAZING, Santana tells Brittany she's in love with her, and Burt gives Kurt the best version of "The Talk".

My favorite was “Choke” when Rachel and Kurt have their audition and Rachel chokes on Rain On My Parade. Also it’s a powerful episode about how abuse from a loved can make us feel weak that we’re scared to leave. I loved all the episodes but that one I can watch again and again. Also their legendary cover of Shake It Out from Florence and the Machine!!!
I agree, though at least for me it's a very hard episode to watch. I don't think anyone expected to see Coach Beiste in a domestic violence storyline. I'm glad they touched the subject.

This was my 1st episode to watch ever cause I was searching for Britney's news back then, then I never stopped
"The Break Up" is definitely the best episode of the entire show! It has the best songs in it, especially The Scientist which is the best song they performed. The plot of the episode is really interesting as well, as it changes the dynamics between the characters.

I hate the episode, I always cry in the episode and all couples to break up in one episode was stupid and unrealistic..because every character was so stupid and out as character in this episode

That episode made me really sad. It was early into Season 4, and it felt like the death of ‘old Glee’

Notice how besides The Quarterback (season 5) every other pick was season 3 and below. I honestly think one of the most depressing things that happened on TV to date is the decline in a beautiful show like Glee from season 4 onwards.
Couldn't agree more ! From season 3, it slowly turned into "The Rachel Berry Show", and that's what the show had become in the end. Seasons 5 and 6 are unbearable to watch, and the series finale is a complete disappointment.
@@elhadjhabbouche663 Each episode has 3 or 4 plots so it was impossible to be the RB show. Season 4 Rachel had way less time and songs than. There was a LOT of Blaine and Sam in the alter season and season 6 Mr Shue got a lot more. The finale had more props to Shue then Rachel by far.
I really thought season 6 was cute. And I did kinda like 5 and 4. But all the good seasons were before season 4.
I agree season 5 wasn't great, but season 4 started off really strong, sadly the fans made it hard by hating on the new cast and didn't give them a chance to shine. Season 6 however was great, it had the feeling of the earlier seasons, it's a shame it only lasted 13 episodes though, it had a lot of potential, and the finale was perfect for me, they did the best they could considering we didn't have Cory... but 1,2 and 3 will always be my fave, for sure
@@raquellopez9672 The first 4 episodes of d season 4 were decent in season 4 they gave the newbie TOO much and they turned out boring and more love triangles. It was like they just put them in the in the slots of outcast girl, bitch and bad boy instead of new characters.
I think it wasn't fair, when Finn outed Santana. She should do it on her own, when she is ready.

Mystique 1250 not trying to be mean or anything but Santana had that coming. As much as a good character she was she does have the habit to be aggressively mean & yes she does that but sometimes she’s at a point when she went too far especially that episode & it’s that point where someone has to set her straight before she says or does something she’d regret.
So what Finn said to her was right. 🤗

Yes, that wasn't right. However Santana is kind of a bully, esecially back then. I know that doesn't make it right, but she really kinda had it coming. Tbh I could totally see her outing someone, remember the Santana and Karofsky storyline?

I have never been able to watch the quarterback episode again after its original airing. I BAWLED like a freaking baby from start to finish. I know there is no way I'd make it through that episode again. 😭
I'm late to the Glee party so I just started watching a few weeks aND I got to that eps and it messed me up, more so the fact that they weren't acting, and nayas breakdown made me bawl
First, i think I think one of the best episodes was The Born This Way episode and the Whitney episode, The Wedding Episode, and the episode where Rachel auditions for Funny Girl and she pictures the original New Directions singing “Don’t Stop Believing” with her.
Born This Way taught me and i’m sure so many others the true meaning of owning and loving your differences.
And also the performance, when I re watched always cry, Kurt is amazing in that song
The Sue Sylvester Shuffle was one of the better ones

Season 3 was probably the best season.

No In 2020 we would have to do neutral because people can’t decide if they have tits or not like and I was in a competition then they let 2 giant men compete in the women competition and they won I’m not saying that women aren’t as strong as men but they had been training since they could walk and they only came out as women that year so I find it stupid that you can just say your a ducking woman while still being classed as a man but never want to be the person who they think they are I don’t care if your a woman a man but if you want to be something or do something you should have to do it some day and then this neutral thing do you piss out your ass or something like wtf please someone explain this to me with only 5 lines or I’m going to shit my pants

Mystique 1250 I know that most people don’t agree but I see mike as the best glee character. Even thought he wasn’t ever appreciated like he should have been he was very supportive of the others ALWAYS he was a really good dancer from the beginning but was always open about how he felt about his voice. You can see how much he grows throughout the scenes though they never gave him the spotlight. In the third season, his voice is unbelievably good. That just shows how hard he worked to get it there. But you know my opinion.

I feel like this list is more based on which episodes had the biggest landmarks and what fan service was provided. I wish it was more focused on strong writing, memorable songs, great acting, and powerful directing. I would have a ranking like this:

6. Rumours
7. Shooting Star
8. Vitamin D
9. Journey to Regionals
10. Heart
"Shooting Stars" hit HARD
But the quarterback hit HARD it was the only show episode that made me cry because of the real life implications.

One of my favorites was "The Breakup." So much happened with all the characters that was cathartic and heartbreaking and it had more songs I liked than maybe any other episode: Mine, The Scientist, Give Your Heart a Break, Don't Speak. I loved all those more than the originals.

It was cool that they had 2 episodes dedicated to Britney Spears but during the show’s run I was hoping that they would do an episode where they sung Christina Aguilera songs or a episode dedicated to 90s boy bands like Backstreet Boys , NSYNC, 98 Degrees, Blackstreet etc .

That was a powerful episode for sure and probably should have been in the Top 10. The scenes where Britney was in the bathroom hiding in the stall was very impactful.
I loved "Asian F" because it finally focused on Mike 😊
My favorite episodes are the trio episode, the 100 and the quarterback episode and original song.

Another reason why Journey to Regionals was a great episode was seeing Jonathan Groff sing Bohemian Rhapsody, still probably one of the best covers on glee

I'm totally biased because Brittana is my number one OTP of all time, but I would've put 'A Wedding' on the list just because it brought together such a beautiful moment and beautiful couples, and my only issue was that Quinn wasn't there for it. But the show was definitely in its peak in season 3, they should've just ended it after season 4.
So many memories... Glee was the show that accompanied me through all my teenage years. Forever gleek.
An episode that I personally loved was Shooting Star. It kept me on the edge the whole time and I was happy to see an episode that steered away from its regular structure.

i remember performing the glee version of don't stop believing in my high school choir in my 9th grade and that's what got me into glee and everybody else talking about it 😍😍😍
The Break Up is honestly my favorite episode. I hate it so much because I love the couple's, but by story telling, it's the best. The music tells a story so freaking well. It's super emotional. The actors are so connected to their on screen relationships that you can tell they are distraught. The episode just gets sadder and sadder, and it rips at your soul. Lastly, the first live solo performance is done by Darren Criss aka Blaine.

The Quarterback was a very special ep from me, because I was going through a loss as well. It helped me not mourning alone. It helped so much and it was good to cry with people, when everybody that shared my pain was far away.
