  • Hello! On Saturday my friend and I went to Macungie for the 50th anniversary of the show and it was a blast with a record turnout of 934 trucks! It was also nice the rain held off until everyone was leaving! I do plan on going truck spotting again, just don’t know when. Until then hope you enjoyed!

    The guy in the green Mack at 12:18 has the ultimate setup right there. Pulling a dropframe, the perfect RV conversion. Gear that tractor to the moon, rolling along at 80 wouldn’t be a problem, and the hills ? No sweat, I love it. Until you’ve had dinner prepared at 70 mph plus, you haven’t had a proper dining experience.

      @@Northeast_PA_Trucks_And_Trains thinking about driving as a career ? The way you already love trucks and trains you should love it. I drove in the early to mid 80’s before CDL’s hauling coal on mostly two lane mountain roads, I was thrown right to the wolves so to speak in a Mack DM800 Twin sticks 15 speed Tri-Plex, so I really learned how to drive and from the best, my uncle and cousins, in tough areas and conditions. I’m so thankful I had that chance. Let us know how the search for a driving job goes.

    • @Northeast_PA_Trucks_And_Trains
      @Northeast_PA_Trucks_And_Trains  2 роки тому

      Hello. If the vehicle is 25 years or older you shouldn’t need a CDL to drive it as long as if you register it as a “classic car” then it’s considered a car. If you don’t want to use it to work you need to put, “Not For Hire” on the side of it and it won’t matter if you have the fifth wheel or not. At least that’s how it is in PA.

      I did, but my phone was so uncooperative it wasn’t even funny. Kept running out of space and died about halfway of me being in the show, so I only recorded a few trucks leaving before it died. So I have no video of the trucks leaving. Just a 24min video of basically the show itself. I don’t even have enough space to save the video and upload it. I also have a truck spotting video ready to go, but same thing. Hopefully soon I can get it. For me the show was a bust because of my phone because Macungie is such a huge video for the channel. I plan on going to Harford in September so hopefully that makes up for it.
