- Sapo played in a park in Baldwin Park and we felt it necessary to go and film what we could. We also got a chance to talk with frontman Richard Bean (formerly of Malo; writer/singer of "Suavecito"). Hope y'all enjoy this amazing performance.

I was already in love with Carlos Santana. And, happened in the auditorium and heard MALO!!! HOOKED!!! I got home and have been into the Latin sound since.... So, thank you forever and ever!

And then I enlisted in the Marine Corps I got sent to San Diego,,,, what a decade!,,, Vietnam had ended horribly,,,a lost cause in 75,,,, and my buddies and I we thought surely the penguins at the Pentagon were cooking up another war for,,,us young Marines. Nice guitar solo, but it does not fit with the song. It should’ve been more like a Santana solo rather than a radical shredding type solo. :-/
