  • These are some old school bass fishing lures that still work really well. There are a few different ways you can work these baits that you may not even know about. These baits will catch some giant bass and they usually work the best for me when they are slow rolled. Make sure to check below so you can see what trailer hooks I was using! Make sure to also leave a THUMBS UP if you guys enjoyed the video!

The spinner blade you were thinking of is called the Indiana blade. It has the round shape of the Colorado but it is smooth like the Willow. Tight lines.

Love the videos, looking forward to watching all the tips this week, and learning a lot.
I definitely need to learn how to catch more fish. I decided to get into fishing few weeks go. Spent over 10-grand on Hobie PA 14, trailer, lowrance elite 7 Ti, micro anchor 10-rod and reels, and tackle. So far all I have caught is two 7” bass. And one 14.5” bass.
But it has still been a lot of fun, being out on the water. I do officially hate fluorocarbon. I been using seaguar braid on all my lews reels 30-50lb. Then I decided to put fluorocarbon on two of the 5:6.1 gear ratio ones for crank baits, and spinners. Never get a back lash with braid. But the fluorocarbon was constant backlash. Am talking before the lure even got half way to water. I tried setting brake on max no luck. I even went as far as adjusting the knob that makes lure fall slower or faster, to where it didn’t fall at all. Still backlash. And it is the $20 stuff on a Lews tournament lite reel. Ok enough of the rant. But any advice on what might be going on with the fluorocarbon?

@Rez when your fishing a spinner it really depends on how deep the water is if your fishing shallow water speed your retrieve if it’s deep water slow down sometimes you gotta slow way down spinnerbaits are for the most part weedless I fished them since I was a kid and they do produce especially when nothing else will just pick up a spinner and start bangin it off of whatever cover you know is in the area if you feel your spinner grabbing onto grass just give your rod a good jerk/fake hook set and it’ll clear the grass off

I have had little to no success with them in my ponds, just reel in a bunch of green gunk. I think it would help alot of us just getting started. Anyways love your videos, you are doing good work man.

I caught bass today. On a spinner bait White and silver skirt. Indiana and Colorado blades. Slow rolled in front of a grass and weed line. Threw down the bank. Kept the bait two to three feet out from the grass. Here in Indiana it's 91 degrees in October. The hottest Sept on record. This weekend it will be in the high 60's. The bass are still out aways from shore. Caught two big bass on a Green Pumpkin Senko Texas rigged. First 4 pds then a 5 pounder. Two cast two bass. Then switched to spinner bait. Great day for fishing the wind was blowing in from the Southwest at 20 mph. The last real day of summer.
See ya! At the Lake's. Shawn
