Do you love the convenience of creating art in Procreate, but miss the textures and visual interest of traditional media? If so, check out the custom brushes I use in my own work: www.colorwithkendi.com/procreate-brushes These brush sets blend the best of both worlds! I have a lot of fun using them and I'm sure you will too!
OMG! Thank you so so so so much! I was trying to start tracing last night for embroider purposes, there's images I would like to embroider but can't draw so wanted to trace them into basic outlines to transfer to fabric and I could not figure out what I was doing wrong on Procreate. Turns out I wasn't doing anything wrong, just using the wrong type of brush and was making a new project on the image instead of just putting the image on the canvas so I can resize it better. I was also using the monoline brush and was wondering why I couldn't get seamless looking lines. Using the HB pencil I'm getting much better results! Thank you so much!
Very new to the iPad and Procreate (wonderful gift from my youngest son for Christmas!) I'm a pad and pencil person! I'd like to thank you for your easy to follow videos! Looking down all the comments sections, you're always happy to help 😊
That’s a wonderful gift! Enjoy your new iPad - I had a great time when I first started. So much fun! If you have any questions or ideas for videos you’d like to see, let me know!. 😃
Hello from Australia 🇦🇺 so glad I found you I’m a visual learner and your videos are awesome. Newby here! I’m trying to trace a house from a photo hiw do I erase mistakes and also us there a snap to function so my lines are straight? Thank you 😊
Hello from 🇨🇦. Thank you for your comment! To erase a mistake immediately after you’ve made it, just tap on the screen with two fingers to undo. If you want to erase larger areas, you can use the eraser tool. It’s the icon at the top which is just two icons to the right of the brush tool. Select a relatively solid brush such as the Marker brush in the Inking set to erase. To snap your lines to make them perfectly straight, you can watch my video on the topic: ua-cam.com/video/-vGSID5wfgM/v-deo.html Hope that helps!
How do you get the sketchy look? I have been trying to achieve this with no luck. Is it the brush or a technique where you aren’t drawing a continuous line? New to drawing here! Thank you!
Hi Erin, it’s the particular brush I’m using. It was a custom brush I made for myself as I couldn’t get the look I wanted with the default brushes. You can check out my pencil brush set if you’re interested: www.colorwithkendi.com/pencils-brush-pack-for-procreate
Thanks, Jennie! Do you have any particular style of house in mind? If you do, send me a link to an illustration or photo so I can get a rough idea of what type of house you’d like to make. 😊
@@colorwithkendi any simple home will do, nothing fancy! I’m trying to learn how to draw or sketch homes for realtors and then have it framed as closing gifts. I would like to know the basics if possible. I really appreciate your help!
To be completely honest, I am not that great at drawing houses (I'm much better at flowers and animals hehe.). I think you'll find this video useful, she's done a nice job of using the Procreate features to create a house illustration: ua-cam.com/video/lAFsPlf694o/v-deo.html For houses, you'll probably need a lot of straight lines, so be sure to watch my video on that here: ua-cam.com/video/-vGSID5wfgM/v-deo.html I hope that helps!
How do you lock the picture you want to trace to stop it from moving all the time? I am lefthanded and I simply can't trace while the original image is moving. Thank you so much
Make sure you are creating a new layer to trace in, as shown in the video. Drawing in a new layer will resolve your issue. Anything you do in a new layer is separate from the original image and you won’t need to worry about the original image moving. Hope that helps!
Hi, I’m new here! I am looking for some advice on tracing people! My grandma passed away in October and I want to make a special picture to remember her. I am using photos that i have taken so no copy right issues, i am just wondering how to go about the coloring and details. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Hi Marcy! Welcome to the channel! Sorry to hear that your grandma passed away. I think it’s a beautiful idea to make a picture of her. Do you have a link to any particular style you want to paint her in? That would help me give you the right guidance as there are so many different ways to go about coloring.
Hi Marcy, thanks for the link. I haven’t created art in that style myself so I can’t provide specific guidance but I do have two links for you that might be able to help! These are the closest tutorials I’ve seen that are similar to the style you’re after. Hope that is useful! ua-cam.com/video/aCIQYxgwppQ/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/w9XIKKVXw-A/v-deo.html

Procreate app not available in play store
Where could I find it??
Procreate is only available on Apple products.
How do you save your trace?
Go to the actions menu (wrench icon) and click on share and then select how you want to save it. I usually save as a .png image.
great tips thank you!
