ℹ️ About the episode:
In this episode, we RV to Stowe Vermont and get a site at the last RV Park (and the last site) due to the season. It was 100% unlevel and provided a good opportunity to share that sometimes the setup process takes a bit longer than expected. If you're an RV newbie, you might beat yourself up, but don't... it just happens sometimes. Trish found the GyPSy Guide audio tour for the RT100 in Vermont. It was a great way to explore the windy road with plenty of stops along the way! Of course, the real treat is what Charlie left for us upon returning to the Airstream!

Now that was funny. Marc couldnt get down those stairs fast enough.
So, I smiled, laughed, chuckled, and shook my head for 25 minutes and 53 seconds!
Marc: I’ve worn this hat all this time and it still looks new!
Charlie: I can fix that!
Right !!!
LMAO
Laughed so hard over Charlie's deposit and that whole ordeal. Who can't identify? Just catching your reactions on camera - priceless! Love you guys!
Laughing 😂 so hard. Mostly because it didn’t happen to me.
I almost dry heaved just imagining it. 😂
I cried laughing when Caleb almost went for a swim lol
Same!
Me too!! I was like he's gonna make it!! He's gonna make it....Nope lol!
Million dollar T Shirt idea. Simple quote...
"That's it. I'm going shopping!"
-Trish-
I love that!
"That's it. You're going shopping!" Charlie
I would buy it😂😂
Bahahaha....Caleb had me lol 😂 “Oh great, ya know what’s better than sitting in silence...listening to a museum! 👍🙌🤙
“ I just found poop on my hat” 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Never laughed so hard at an episode!
All dog owners can relate! Thanks for keeping it real!
Between Caleb’s water ballet, Charlie’s unfortunate redecorating efforts, and Mark’s rapid stair descent, I laughed out loud. Thank you for allowing us to share in the type of moments that bedevil all of us at one time or another and are really only funny after the fact. You guys really do have a wonderful attitude. Hope Charlie felt better.
Laughed out loud on this one. Poor Charlie. Happens to all dog lovers everywhere!
100%. 😂
Love how Caleb started to get up and said "Nope!" and went back to sleep. Your reaction to Charlie's thoughtful gift was priceless. Was laughing so hard I was crying.
The Charlie bit had me crying. 😂 Also, Caleb's river walking.
He got damp but he didn't fall!
O yeah! Charlie’s episode eclipsed that moment from my memory! That made me laugh too.
Same here! I was rolling! And then...."Blurred for your protection" OMG so funny!
What makes your family so great? It is your attitude and sense of humor. Thanks for setting an example for the RV KYD community.
An audio/ video feast that feels like two minutes max. As great as the music was. The church bells ringing in such a place are fantastic.
Pro Tip: When cleaning up bad smeels, put some vix vapor rub under your noise.
Can we take a moment to remember Marc's hat.
So much for the hat that lasted one year and looked so good!
One reason to be grateful that “Smell-o-vision” does not exist! 😂🤣😂💩💩💩
I’m binge watching every episode..... First thought was EXACTLY that “What about Smell-O-vision NOW, ma’am??? 🤣🤣🤣
We have been following you since the beginning. We would love to hear an update on Torie and Carson. We miss both of them, and we would love to hear how they are doing.
Caleb's valiant effort to avoid getting his feet wet was hysterical! America's funniest-home-videos-worthy.
The most enjoyable episode yet. We've all had events like that, in which all you can do is laugh. Isn't life great.
I'm dying here. First Caleb in the stream had me in hysterics - he's such a wonderful young man - and then Charlie! You have to keep a sense of humor when you have kids and dogs.
I laughed so hard at Caleb's acrobatics then at Marc's stumble down the stairs, oh my poor Charlie. But most of all poor Trish who had to clean up the mess. Great video once again!!
You all make the blues music colorful, joyful and “earthy brown” 😂
We really live in a beautiful country. Every time I think you’ve captured the most beautiful footage your next video comes out.
Fancy footwork Caleb , but Charlie takes the award. Your wife needs more than a shopping trip . A relaxing spa day.🦮💩💆🏼♀️💅🏻
It's all 110V, you're mixing Volts & Amps. The std ext cord is usually 15A or sometimes 20A (both 110V).
Yep, I cringe when RV'ers mix 120 VAC 15 amp, 30 amp, and 50 amp power sources and not fully understand what they are working with. And understanding 50 amp is 240 VAC so that adds an additional layer of confusion.
We laughed so hard at the Charlie experience. We can so relate! LOL. Now that it is getting to be Christmas tree time, it makes us remember a time that one of our cats loved to slurp the silver icicle strands of tinsel off our Christmas tree which led to a not so nice treat for us on the other end if you know what we mean, LOL.
Freakin’ AWESOME guys!! I love when I’m so wrapped up in your vids and then all of a sudden it’s over and it feels like only a few minutes have gone by!
Born and raised in NH and VT. Absolutely love watching your family enjoy the great north! Thank you for sharing your adventures! Take care and safe travels
You know Charlie was miserable before the accident. Poor dog.
Looks like I won't be the only one ordering a new hat, Marc. Ha! Great episode as always
Marc, they're *all* 110. My wife kept saying "15" (amps) whenever you said 110. :)
You should have stopped at Cabot Creamery just outside of Montpelier. Lots of yummy cheese to sample and buy.
Charlie didn’t seem to mind? In fact, he looked relieved! Pun intended.
So excited for my first KYD beanie!!! before we head out on our new adventure! We are going FULL-TIME TRAVEL/RV in a MONTH with our boys!!!! And this KYD beanie is going to keep me motivated and we can't wait!
Cleaning that "event" just cracked me up!
Me too...we have a large dog too so can relate all too well.🤣🤣
I don't think we have ever laughed so hard as we have a dog that has left us wretching. Love you guys
I’m laying in bed laughing so hard I may no be able to sleep. Every time I think of Caleb’s river dance to Charlie’s stinky poop, it starts all over. I can hardly write this. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Caleb so makes me chuckle and smile. Love his youthful enthusiasm. You all are very blessed!
Vermont is beautiful! The crafts were amazing! And blessed Charlie's heart! Danny and Lynn
The Church surrounded by beautiful fall colors, was my favorite.
Charlie’s poopie blowout had me in tears. It reminded me of the time my three little girls threw up within minutes of each other all over the living room carpet. Trish you were a trooper!!!
That was a real video. You guys are not afraid to show the raw truth. Lovin it.
We were married 27 years ago in my husbands home state of Connecticut. We honeymooned through Vermont on the way to Niagara Falls in October. So this video was very nostalgic. Thanks for the tour.
We loved Stowe & all the stunning scenery & covered bridges!! Best thing to do on a rainy day is tour the local farms & factories...apple cider, cheese, ice cream, maple syrup...samples are a delicious treat too! Poor Charlie...or should I say Trish!!! LOL
My stomach actually hurts from all the laughing. I've not laughed like that in a long time.
I just want to say Thank You KYD for turning a cold wet afternoon in England into the best day of the Year.
I'm sure this will go down in History as the Great Poop incident of 2020 !!!
Marc, the power cord and adapters piece was well done. Thanks. In addition, every dog parent can empathize with you guys. That's likely what most are going to remember from this episode. Stay safe.
This is fantastic! I just adore watching the affluent doing their reality tour vacation holiday thing….
As a Vermonter, great job highlighting the Vermont experience. Nailed it! Thank you. Been putting money into tins and wooden slots for produce/eggs/cheese/baked goods all my life. Made me smile.
The whole 💩 seen is so relatable to a lot of us. Always have to watch the inhaling when cleaning up, I was cracking up with Trish and her comment that she briefed it in. 😂
Thx for the laughter. We were laughing so hard we were crying.
Wife and I rolling with laughter over Charlie .
Bicycling Vermont and Stowe were on our bucket list. So glad we did it last year. Beautiful state and lovely people. Can’t wait to get back with the RV. OMG Charlie! 😂😂😂 brings back memories of traveling with a 9 week old puppy.
We are finally catching up with past episodes- so exciting to watch you tour my old stomping grounds in Vermont and then hear one of the music tracks in the background- our friends performed one of those tracks! So cool-
What "Dreams" are made of! Very nice editing, and down to earth. Love the honor system. In the end Charlie stole the show, bad dawg! ROFL, nicely done. Now I know where the saying comes from! "Every Dog has their Day!" LOL couldn't resist.
Thank you for showing it real with Charlie! Crap happens, when you have a dog!! Loved the beautiful scenery and the covered bridges. Thank you for sharing the adapters for getting hooked up to electrical. Happy camping ⛺️
Charlie’s “contribution” gave me a good laugh. You gotta love the RV life!
A Vermont memory for sure😂. The joy of traveling with our beloved pets.
This is why I love your channel! Great advice on the elect. hook up stuff. Also appreciated that you took safety into consideration on the leveling. Simple answer - re-think it and move the rig over a scootch. And of course ***Charley***. There you are - Keeping it real!!!
the editing is officially professional
You all do such a great job with your videos. Very inspiring. Thanks! Every time I think I am making progress with my patience and tolerance with the unexpected, I see one of your videos and realize its back to the drawing board. 😉 I love how you take everything with such stride. Stay safe out there.
I have lived in New England my whole life. I have to say that fall is my favorite time of year. It always has been. And you just love it when your dog does something gross where they should not!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE covered bridges too. The town we live in has the oldest covered bridge in Northeast Ohio's Cleveland area. If you are ever in NE Ohio, there's tons of cool places to stop. Mike's Place is an awesome little restaurant in Kent. Chagrin Falls is a beautiful outdoorsy stop. And if you guys like Kayaking and stuff, the Mohican River is kinda still in the NE part of Ohio. It's a blast, and dogs are very welcome to join you on the water.
Hope you guys are having a good time. Stay safe! Thank you for all your videos!
Great episode. You folks always take things in stride, as we all should. Safe travels!
wow this was another awesome video. Makes me LOL. Between Caleb falling in the creek and Charlie pooping in the trailer you guys had an exciting week. Always great videos' and I love catching up on what your doing. Vermont looks like a wonderful place to visit. Love the fall colors and the egg and flower place were so cute! Thanks for sharing.
Glorious, glorious Vermont! I love it--spent childhood vacations there and love it as an adult. Still shop at the Vermont Country Store. What a great Autumn trip!
Between the Charlie bomb and Caleb going in the drink this was an awesom episode. Truly, thank you.
I just bought the Gypsy Guide to Great Smokey Mountain National Park after watching this video this morning. We arrive at Great Smokey tomorrow so perfect timing for us to see your video and learn about Gypsy Guide. Thanks!
Been watching for a few years now, and finally a video about real world RV traveling mishaps (with the family dog). Hilarious. Thanks for sharing.
Always love your "plan"! Thanks Leach family! ♡♡♡
So glad that you came this close to home! Only 1 hour from us like to visit that region but with pandemic this year we could not pass the border so thanks and stay safe!👍🇨🇦
Another keeping it real great video.
Excellent editing. You made us all laugh.
Thanks for all your videos. For those of us that couldn’t travel this year, you brought it home for us.
Years ago I had a ski house just off RT100 in Waitsfield VT. A lot of great memories from that area.
"I'm going shopping after this!" Now put that on a hat!
We have camped in Vermont many times. Smugglers notch is a great place. It has been completely improved since our first time in the late 70s so it’s not as much of a challenge. Hope to go back in 22.
Never had the dog problem and very clear about it.
We haven’t laughed this hard for a long time! Thanks for sharing. Lol
Love the Gypsy Guides. We used it in Yellowstone and Glacier - learned a ton and found lots of off the beaten path stops.
Wow! Vermont is just as lovely as I imagined 🍂🌲🍃🍁
I've enjoyed your videos for some time now. This latest one made me smile, made me laugh and just made me feel good! Remarkable when you consider the weather here in the Willamette Valley,Oregon in concert with the Corvid restrictions. You guys are so natural and fun to watch. Today I ordered 2 hats for my travels....... which I hope will start in 2021. Again, thank you for an enjoyable time each week!!
Love the caps and Trish’s haircut!! Vermont looks so beautiful. 🧢🍁🍂🍁
Poor Charlie, it happens and we've all come home to it.
Poor Charlie. I get the gag reflex. And poor Tricia. Having to clean up the stuff. Bless your pea pickin hearts. OMG. By the way love your content. Have a great day. And you definitely need some retail therapy after that. I know I would.
Absolutely beautiful! On my bucket list for sure....The Charlie “incident” had me laughing so hard I was crying! Only a pet owner can understand...we all have been there 😂 although not funny at the time.
I have been patiently waiting.... Just ordered hats for myself and the Mrs.! My wife is really diggin' the white one. Great pick, Trish! We will wear them proudly on our next adventure together. Hoping you throw some stickers in the box for our trailer! PS- I'm from VT originally (now in NY). Glad you loved it. I miss it!
So excited!! Just ordered my hat! :) Can't wait to wear it on the trips that I have planned towards the end of the year. :)
I know it's not quite Christmas, but this Vermont episode just made me think of the movie White Christmas. "Vermont, I hear it's wonderful this time of year, with all that snow"
Charlie, the creative pooper, lol. He was so excited to share it with you!
Absolutely love your channel. Have watched it for the last 3 years and every episode has been interesting and especially fun to watch. DON'T STOP
Thank you for the ❤. It is very important for folks watching your channel the you read people's comments and reply back. That's what keeps people watching your channel
I absolutely love your videos. I find myself looking forward to your new ones. Thanks so much!
I feel I should apologize. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time! This video made my night.
Trish is cracking me up with the Charlie cleanup! 😊 Charlie seemed very happy having got all that out of his system.
!!Finally!! the gray hat is back, i just order mine, hopefully my kids don’t lose it again lol
Oh such fond memories! I lived in northern Vermont. We took all visitors to Stowe. The gondola ride on Mount Mansfield and the best bike path Is on the. Mountain Road too. Cheese, the Cabot factory tour and store is awesome! Plus in Burlington, the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, Lake Champlain Chocolates and church Street. In St. Johnsbury, Maple Grove Farms….oh I miss it.
Oh my gosh! Charlie! lol. Great episode guys. I feel your pain with the poop. That area so beautiful. Thanks for taking us along!
Oh the life with a dog. I loved how Mark couldn’t get out of the rig fast enough. I only laugh because we have been there done that oh so many times. ❤️❤️
Hello Trish and Marc...I just ordered my hat, thank you...we absolutely love your videos, and your family...Jeff and Dawn.
Been with you from the start, purchased the rig in 2018 . In 2019 spent winter in the west, 2021 was the start for full time, Now my parents health has taken a turn and i feel responsible for them as now my full time rving has turned into staying on their property to assist them for the remainder. So i decided to make the move and attemp to purchase a campground in the area of mt pleasant and traverse city michigan. basically for a retirement income and also to bring the rv life to me as well as all the good people it seems to bring with it. was truly hoping to run into you on the road somewhere, you have alot to offer in my opinion you seem very friendly, and that adds up to a very big boost in confidence and positive self esteem . Thank you Marc and Trish
You are in our backyard. Earlier this year I started binge watching KYD. I first found your channel when searching Alaska, as we were purchasing our GD Imagine 2670MK and one of our dreams is to go to Alaska. I watched that whole season in a couple days and fell in love with the way you capture nature and your families travels. I have already driven the ALCAN twice, but I wanted to take my wife to the Last Frontier for an extended stay. Every chance I get, I watch several of your videos, starting with season 1. I'm currently watching season 6 and saw your new release for Stowe, VT. We love Vermont and go there regularly. This video made me laugh out loud, with what happened with Charlie and the dance in the brook. I can only imagine how cold the water is. You mentioned Lake George in the video which is only about 6 miles from our house. It is a beautiful area. Hope you enjoyed your travels in VT and hope to meet you one day.
You can tell Charlie felt better. Love you guys! Oh, ordered a beanie for myself! Yay me
Mark - you do a great job getting the tension off the blue ox! The very first time we took our camper out last year, I did not get the tension off all the way, and the wrench nailed me right in eye when I released it - fractured my orbital bone, and gave me my first ever black eye (and I mean black) at age 41. I'll never do that again! So glad to see you guys enjoying the northeast. Craig from Rochester, NY.
I’ve never commented on a video before, but I had to on this one. Thanks for keeping it real 😂
Great self-save and staying on those feet, Caleb! And your wit and comebacks continues to entertain. As for Charlie., y’all’s reaction, and Mark’s near fall to get away from the smell... 😂 Thanks for the giggles, you guys.
Just ordered 1 for me and the wife, Steph will love the new white one in her stocking ;) Thanks guys from Harrison Mills, British Columbia!
" Im going shopping after this" LOL
