Thank you!! took our new to us 2019 19cb for a shake down this past week. Literally had the upper bathroom cabinet fall off wall. In processing the situation my husband comes out with well Mark and trish said “mind the dip” We both burst out laughing and tucked the cabinet away for rest of trip and had the best trip ever! Sometimes its all about the attitude and not the bad situation thank you
Trish nailed it when she said even small mods and repairs reinvigorate you and the connection to your current rig. I just worked on my class c all weekend and I’m so excited to get out and enjoy it this year. Be safe, great video and super editing as always.
We ran into Ronnie and family in Walmart in Post Falls, Idaho, last summer. My husband was wearing his Airstream t-shirt and Ronnie looked up and said “We have an Airstream, too.” Then a couple weeks later we were surprised to see him on a KYD episode in western Washington…….and here he is again!
Kaleb totally added to this video with the Applause Machine. It was perfect. Ronnie does such a great job. I am glad to see he has found his passion and it allows him to make a good life for himself and his family. Such nice peeps. I would love to purchase a paper template of the "propane" board for storage. What a great idea.
Of all the trailers I have owned I have never had the problems with low quality as I have had with my Airstream Basecamp. Thank you for the video and sharing your recourses with us.
I never thought I’d want an airstream but you guys have managed to put the bug in my ear. These videos are just awesome! Caleb in a tractor is like watching the pope get accepted to prayer school. Pure bliss! Love the episode. Can’t wait to see what’s happening in Florida with the house. Keep on keeping on! 🤘
It's been our fav rig to date. Some people expect no repairs, but most of the issues are truly from wear and tear. We're pretty hard on our gear. The fit and finish of Airstream do in fact hold up to life. Plumbing, axles, etc is the same in all RVs. The Bungaslow had good progress this week, but still a long way to go. We should have GC'd it ourselves. Lots to share.
Ronnie is absolutely the best contact we’ve personally made in the Airstream community. Course we haven’t met y’all personally!!! 😉 Great video as always!!!
Ronnie doesn’t even have to think about what he’s doing !!!! And Marc, I’m glad you didn’t go to school without your backpack 🤣🤣🤣 Great work y’all Blessings
We left Ronnie’s just before you guys got there. What a great visit! 3” lift, 2 Battleborns, dc to dc charger, Starlink mod like you, water heater switch, and new plumbing line to the toilet. What a great job by a great guy! Tera’s wonderful too! 37:43
I agree with Trish small mods and repairs reinvigorate. With are in the process of updating our 2013 Outback. My wife is an Interior Designer and has even match the new fabrics with the paint and Jack Knife couch. It's going to look like new.
Seriously, I just want to take my little 15’ travel trailer from Ontario down to his place and say “just have at it” and let him do whatever fixes/mods he wants. This was awesome. Loved every minute, essentially none of these mods would work on my teeny tiny trailer but I will keep dreaming. Thanks for an awesome video!
Ronnie Dennis does great work, he added Boogey Lights and other repairs to our Airstream. I look forward to seeing Ronnie again for further service and enhancements to our Airstream
" Once we get to where we're going, we're there!" One of the most prolific statements of all time!! Another great video of information for us all. Thanks for all the "hard and instant" filming.....
Your timing was perfect. I've had the switches for the water heater mod for a year and balked because I wasn't sure where to get the ground. OMG! Genius! There is one caution of this hack. IF you're not connected to shore power, the light still lights even though the water heater is not really on. (on 120 vac.) BUT that's not a big deal for me because I'm worried about leaving it on accidentally, not whether I have hot water. (There is a circuit board that can be added to solve that, but I'm not bothering). Thank You Ronnie! Thank you KYD!
Our second appointment in 3 years. First was the trailer lift. This was a upgrade Victron 3000 and Lithium service. We pulled in right after you guys left. Ruth and I can sure attest to the prayers looking North from Florida and playing 1-800 dial a prayer for the appointment slot! Ronnie did a outstanding job on our 30 ft Trailer it was worth the wait ( two years ) to get it in. Exciting to see the farm- Did you say WTHeck when you were driving in those camp roads. Then looking at the back in up that hill. We did!
EXTREMELY informative! GREAT video. Awesome work & ideas by Ronnie. Keep pumping these videos out. ALWAYS good to learn of new ideas and ways to upgrade/work on an RV or where to go for GREAT repair/upgrade work. Thanks!🙌🏼👏
Mark… I too am a “Man of Leisure” and although have some power tools, not in anyway of professional caliber. I applaud you in your clapping button for the real working man. We are here for comedy relief. Lol
Trish, While we are enjoying your videos of your Italy trip we have FINALLY gotten a hold of Ronnie and have an appointment in early February to get several of the mods y’all had done and scheduled for our Globetrotter. Keep up the great videos - Ciao!
Great content. I had been looking for a thermostat replacement for my Coleman Mach AC without success. Your segment on it caught me and after going to the website it was confirmed they have a model that will work. Just ordered it. Safe travels. Jim
Initially thought the episode was going to be very Airstream-centric. Not that I don't like Airstream, but I don't have one. At least now. But...the Micro-Air-Thermostat is a Godsend. I have struggled with my Dometic thermostat since I bought the trailer five years ago. This looks like a great solution. I also ordered the propane sensors. Always been a guessing game solved only by removing the tank cover, loosening the bracket, and lifting the tanks. Had a friend sleeping in the trailer one November (in MN) and we ran out. He was cold. Thanks for the valuable tips.
Great upgrades! I had the mopeka, got it in 2016, loved the concept but back then it required a spacer under the tanks and my rig was old enough that there wasn't enough circumference in the base for the holder to fit, also the clips just didn't stay on for me. Glad to see they made the sensors thinner because I loved being able to check the levels from inside and my phone.
We just purchased a 2005 Classic 28' AS and I'm not sure that the majority of these modifications would actually work on AS's built prior to 2007. I will be modifying my water drain though 🙂! Thank you!
On the Mopeka sensors I find it helpful to label the sensors themselves the same as you have in the app. I use “Driver” and “Passenger” so that when you have that one time happen that you have to take and fill both at the same time you know which is which and don’t have to play a guessing game. Don’t ask me how I know 😂
great idea for the water heater switch, if you have an atwood! our suburban does not have the relay and low voltage switch to control the 120Vac to the water heater. the only switch on the suburban heater is the tiny switch behind the gas regulator on the front of the heater. adding a relay and low voltage switch would be ideal
Another great video that makes us wish we had an Airstream, but we do love our GD Solitude. So true about it being our baby. We were way less nervous about traveling in our previous rig, a 27' TT. Something about the price difference I think... Appreciate how much you guys do for the community. 👍
A Kubota tractor with a 5 or 6' mower attachment is how my father had us kids fighting over who got to mow the lawn! LMAO! Of course, there was a ranch that we lived on and why we had the tractor. But we loved to mow the lawn. Only took maybe 7 or 8 minutes to do the whole lawn. It took us just as long if we had to change the attachment.
Not nearly enough footage of Charlie and LuLu!!! :) One MORE thing about the MicroAir Thermostat is that if you use an always-on internet connection, you can actually control it away from the rig too! Nice video guys!
The Victron Multi Control is a great addition to the Touch 50. And now there is a way to get SMS as well as email notifications of alarms from your Victron system that notify you when you have a power failure no matter where you are. The latest firmware for your system is required but it's easy and free. The Mulit Control is still useful for easy local monitoring of your Victron system but it's now even easier to get notifications. We're currently visiting South Korea and I received notifications that my RV had lost power. I kept an eye on it and was relieved when power was restored a couple of hours later. We also have the Micro Touch thermostat and love being able to monitor and alter the settings from all over the world. After all, it's like leaving your child at home while you travel. 😄
Marc & Ben, have you experienced any conflicts between the Touch 50 and the Multi Control? Does one override the other? Do you have to delegate certain tasks to the Multi Control? Or do both monitors work seamlessly?
@@stuartrogel9117 i've heard the multi control overrides the touch 50 and that if you have the cerbo with the touch 50/70 there is no reason to have the multi control. the touch can do everything the multi control can do. in fact the override of the multi control renders some features on the touch 50/70 unusable. =
I lost it when you started saying upgrade or maintain what you have. I have a 2006 25' Airstream and I started the maintain and upgrading 10 years ago and now I couldn't replace it! I could buy newer but it would be stripped of some nice-ness. I hope someday I meet you guys! You have been in St. Augustine but I just miss ya every time.
Another very informative video Mark. I like the upgrades that you did they were interesting for sure. The reader on your propane tanks I saw Chad with Changing Lanes used. It's interesting when someone else uses what your upgrading with . Yall be safe
Mark, Trish, please take things back in your hands. Nothing wrong adding NASA or tech gurus for a few minutes, but you and family are the ones doing the Magic. Piece and love 👍🍀
Hi, sure enough our freshwater plastic drain also broke, so I wondered where i can buy this metal tap that you installed? We just arrived in Florida and wondered if you can perhaps even recommend anyone that could do this repair with in a week? Good luck 😂

Regarding the propane tank sensor, tape those clips or some type of glue. You will forget they are there and when filling your tanks you will likely loose one, yep I lost one. Also pickup a tube of dielectric electric grease, I gotten mine at Ace Hardware. When you fill your tank, you may want to remove the sensor, then clean off the old grease and add a drop of new grease. Seen the sensor not work after taking it on and off. Mark is the funny dad that the kids groan at his jokes but their friends think he's hilarious...haha!!
By far my fave show!!! Mark is Americas RV dad, Trish is The beautiful RV wife and Caleb is the polished goofy kid that everybody loves....

Micro-Aire EasyTouch for the win! One of the best upgrades ever!
We're loving it so far. Seems to control the temp better too.
Thank you guys and Nuts & Bolt ,, Awesome video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Maintain what you have. Upgrade to new is another set of fresh trouble 🙆🏼♀️

I protected that spigot with an inverted 4” pvc cap drilled to swallow the spigot. Glued to the tank. Full protection!
I did the brass spigot upgrade day one (I broke the plastic one they day I bought it) - lovely video

These mods are great. I bet that you already have future plans for those 2 white nubs next to the thermostat at 21:00 min

Just installed my micro-air today. If you can’t stand the unused hole solution, they do offer a trim ring plate that works great.

Lots of useful information. I want to make one of those shelves for the propane cover. Now I have inspiration. Can't wait til the snow melts.

If you upgrade your connection to the tow rig to say, 60A, you could leave the inverter running while driving. Basically keep the trailer cool.

Need a Bidet for Caleb to go with the heated seat, of course you’ll need warm water to come out of it too, maybe some automated TP action!
