Thank you for the video. Very clear/short/helpful. A couple of suggestions. The part you have a link to shows a different picture than other part sites including the OEM (whirlpool) site. It looks like the part, but your picture shows it bent instead of a square shape. Also, when clicking on that link to buy the part, you can't find out shipping costs prior to providing personal information. Most places let you figure shipping by just zip. I wanted to buy the part through your link to support your site, even though it was more, but the picture and shipping issue steered me away. Thank you again for the time on the video. 8D...ave
We always recommend entering in your model number to get the genuine OEM replacement part for your appliances. We also take all of our photos on-site. We ship to the US and Canada, and have a physical storefront located in Canton, MI. We have a variety of shipping options to fit customer's needs. We can relay the information about the shipping to our team to see if that is something we could implement. Thank you for the tip.
Great video! How can I tell if the problem is the Thermostat or if its the Heater Element? Mine was frozen over and not defrosting. I took it apart and let it defrost and when I plugged it back in a short time later it started to make a noise as if something was trying to come on and it would stop the noise about 10 seconds later only to do it over and over about every minute or so, it eventually froze over again. I appreciate any advice, Thanks.
I performed this repair, but having to bend and pull things was intimidating, to say the least. Who would imagine you would have to do this to a modern appliance.
Thanks for showing how to get the big piece out. I almost gave up. Fixed my fridge for $25. TY!

Talk about a tight squeeze. These repair guys must weight 175 max with a small frame.
