Honestly I could watch yourself and Helen's hiking videos all day long. All brilliant content regardless of what you film and upload. Cheers both of you🍺
A big black cat with a long tail (likely a puma) came within 20 meters of me and the wife while we walking near dusk in the Somerset countryside near Cheddar. We didn't get a photo either - the wife freaked out and we did a runner through a forest and out back to the farm we were staying at. Luckily it didn't follow us. Keep up the videos - always an entertaining watch.
Think it was Millersdale car park not milldale, different places but not too far apart, great walk, I’d recommend either the manifold valley with a stop in Wetton for a pint at the Royal Oak or walking from milldale through the valley to Ilam and the stepping stones. Plenty of places to park the van at night 😊
That forlorn look into the camera 5.55 when the Lovely Helen is pissing about in the background is priceless. Loving all your videos James and Helen. Love to you both .
Love watching you too! Thank you that you did that beautiful walk for us. I wouldn't have liked those hills! Love how Helen is always smiling. She has lots of energy. X
Bit late to both of your lives but have happened across your UA-cam channel over the last few days, god knows how the algorithms occur but you two are amazing! Thank you...and much love.
James and Helen this has to be the funniest one yet loved it what with wrong turns James moaning, killer clowns, big foot then it was like the twister the movie..thanks again sending love to you both..cart wait for the next and James them face expressions what you pull whilst Helen is looking at her map just brilliant you both so funny xx
About 60 years ago we were travelling through The Peak District, four of us kids in the back, mum and dad in the front pointing out the boring stuff we should be enjoying through the window when I proudly pointed out that while mum was extolling the beauty of the scenery, we had just passed by a kangaroo and should immediately turn back. I got a thorough telling off for telling lies and despite my protestations we were not turning back. Years later I found out there was indeed a colony of wild Wallabies living in the area. Not apology from the mother of course.
What a lovely video. Crackin' scenery, and isn't that what real walking is actually like? Getting lost, and going miles out of your way? You're right, James. Those of us who can no longer do these things (COPD for me, and MS for my missus) really and truly do appreciate these trips into the countryside. Many thanks.
“that cow just sneezed”, a very Attenborough comment, mi thinks? Was thinking of the wife and I getting a necklace but I don’t think ‘glandy’ would have the same ring to it? Maybe, you could start to offer ‘survival’ tips, for anyone getting off track?? The beastie could have been fox (some are dark) or possibly a boar (apparently in that area). There was a teen, some years ago who swore he (and friends) saw a black puma??? Nice to see the little vole. Great walk, keep taking the praise guys, you deserve it. Jamlen rules.
I was thinking it might be a swamp monster I saw it on doctor who that animal well done guys enjoyed it as usual you both must feel fitter now you've done this walk and it may of been a panther for sure there's nothing like a stepping stone James lovely scenery quite something enjoyed it
OMG I have never laughed so much at such an extraordinary walk! 😂 killer clowns, black panthers and killer cows!! I love the moaning and then Helen cracking up at you. You two are both an absolute breath of fresh air to other van lifers!! Oh and I say ‘It’s a bit black over Bill’s mothers’ too to my Cumbrian husband 😂. Got it off my mother!! Watching the Benidorm series next- can’t wait!! 😊😂
So funny. You two remind me of my fiancé and I. The comments as you trundle along. We did a beautiful walk from Millers Dale across the river then to Litton Mill. Milldale is another beautiful little village. I hope you didn’t need that chuffing ambo lol.
Just go steady. You are so lucky to be able to get out for a nice walk. I wish I could. I can't walk to the end of my drive. Cats go hunting in the day or night. The din you make between yous. A panther would just bugger off. It would steer clear of yous.
I think it might have been Shaun the Sheep that you saw on the path. From the look of the landscape you were very near to the farm he and his flock live on.
Now that WAS funny, watching you two bumbling round one of our dog walks! 😂. If we’d known you were coming over you could have called for a brew and a sit down, you look knackered walking back up to the car 😳
So funny James's reaction to the thunder you looked worried .Helen was so calm .English weather's so unpredictable. Good video thanks guys .Looking forward to next one .Have a nice weekend. 👌
Eh up I've just subscribed to your channel .I'm a Yorkshire man now living in Ireland I feel your pain cost of living. I just want to congratulate you for doing what you have done it take balls to do it .I really enjoy watching you and the missus keep up the great content

Love the videos ..so Amusing. I think Helen goes the wrong way on purpose to improve your fitness, That black cow you pointed was actually a bullock but it seemed friendly enough lol
Love your videos. Even when you goof up - in a thunderstorm. It’s 3.30am and I’ve woken up & can’t get back to sleep but …. I’m not lost in the woods. Hilarious. All the very best to you both. 💕
Brilliant video guys!, we reckon Helen could do the legendary SAS “fan dance”. If you ever get down south to Exmoor there’s strong evidence of a large black panther like animal roaming the hills!, that would certainly make for an invigorating hike for you both! plenty of great pubs aswell🍻
That was the funniest yet. Not to be sad or owt but that cafe / old station that you went past at the beginnings brought me up a bit sharp, that was the last place me and my late husband cycled to on the Monsal, happy memories, thanks 👍
Hats off to you James for being such a patient man 🙈 how many times did you want to lie down on the grass and kick and scream 🤔 it just goes to show how much you think about Helen ❤ great video both of you 😂😂😂

That's some good trecking uphill and across most of England 😁 did you catch a flight back to your van. Might as well finish of with a joke - What van did Pavarotti drive? A Nissan Dorma
Loved the Millers Dale hike we go there a lot , we did the detour but not that far up its lovely up there we have to do it now ! Nice river walk at the bottom too, see thi
Best line in this episode... 'I have to have a rag like Pavarotti' had me howling!!!
I'm a trend setter 😂
No best line -" yes lads you hold the line while I lick me knackers !"
Helen's eternal optimism and positivity helps balance out James's negativity. Just an observation guys x
Opposites attract 🙂
