A big black cat with a long tail (likely a puma) came within 20 meters of me and the wife while we walking near dusk in the Somerset countryside near Cheddar. We didn't get a photo either - the wife freaked out and we did a runner through a forest and out back to the farm we were staying at. Luckily it didn't follow us. Keep up the videos - always an entertaining watch.

Think it was Millersdale car park not milldale, different places but not too far apart, great walk, I’d recommend either the manifold valley with a stop in Wetton for a pint at the Royal Oak or walking from milldale through the valley to Ilam and the stepping stones. Plenty of places to park the van at night 😊

About 60 years ago we were travelling through The Peak District, four of us kids in the back, mum and dad in the front pointing out the boring stuff we should be enjoying through the window when I proudly pointed out that while mum was extolling the beauty of the scenery, we had just passed by a kangaroo and should immediately turn back. I got a thorough telling off for telling lies and despite my protestations we were not turning back. Years later I found out there was indeed a colony of wild Wallabies living in the area. Not apology from the mother of course.
I think it might have been Shaun the Sheep that you saw on the path. From the look of the landscape you were very near to the farm he and his flock live on.

I was thinking it might be a swamp monster I saw it on doctor who that animal well done guys enjoyed it as usual you both must feel fitter now you've done this walk and it may of been a panther for sure there's nothing like a stepping stone James lovely scenery quite something enjoyed it

Many a time we used to venture around Emily on the muck tracks on scramblers good old days. His father Paul is a good man too he's into the kind of stuff you do for work just that he's a shop in Horbury bridge. Always made me feel welcome through the 6 weeks holiday.. But them areas are lovely peaceful too

Hey guys great vlog, Ive done an abseil off the bridge on the route in the other direction you went. monsal dale (now disused) viaduct is the bridge parallel to the one you were walking on at the start, also if you'd walked a few yards down the stright path before your turn offs you would have seen some lime kilns to your left in the trees that you can walk up too. Storm footage was cool. Enjoyed watching
That's some good trecking uphill and across most of England 😁 did you catch a flight back to your van. Might as well finish of with a joke - What van did Pavarotti drive? A Nissan Dorma
That was the funniest yet. Not to be sad or owt but that cafe / old station that you went past at the beginnings brought me up a bit sharp, that was the last place me and my late husband cycled to on the Monsal, happy memories, thanks 👍
