The scary thing is that when you get to the top, you have to somehow get yourselves back down again, and that looks even more terrifying. Well Done! Stay Safe! 👍👍
Me and my husband love you both you have great banter and definitely made for each other. The best bits when Helen reads everything 😅 bless her she’s amazing x
Hi James and Helen. Came across your channel from a friend who loved watching your uploads. I believe he had made comments on what you were creating. He was known as dorsetcyclist73, sadly he recently passed away to severe COPD. Lovely Guy, will enjoy watching your future uploads for him. As he would always say...Take care and stay safe to anyone he met.
Hi there, I'm so sorry to hear that. That's really upsetting. I remember his comments. Could you possibly email me on james@bythecurb.co.uk so we can pay our respects
You and your missus are fantastic. You brought back to me the strugle and pain i also went through. I never thought i would of gotten back to my car. You are both hero's.
It's a shame you didn't go in the Pen Y Gwryd Hotel on the A4086. It is the base of the Snowdon mountain rescue but also on the ceiling you can see the signatures of Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing who actually trained up Snowdon before their Everest ascent
I need my bed after watching that. Had you been without pain at the beginning it would still have been a daunting challenge but i must say that Helen`s enthusiasm carries you through and it really shows how much you trust her and without her with you, well i`m afraid you would not have made it ..10/10 guys !!!
Anything else after this will be a piece of cake.Well done, James, you did it-Helen is very organised and well speedy up that "Mountain" 👏 That meal and pint were well deserved 😊
Huge congratulations to You both. James I am so very proud of you and Helen you are the epitome of a care giver. Such a feat. I went to Snowden on my honeymoon. It about dud me in then and I was only 32
Oh James, you are a legend for achieving that. It looked horrendous!! I struggle with my legs, so you showing this video means I never have to do this!! Helen is a machine, she just powers on!!
Oh my god guys, that's some hike! Helen is a machine, so fit...I genuinely don't know how she keeps going. James, fekt your pain, I'd panic at the thought of the journey down feeling so sore. Well done you two! Due to a foot injury I can't do this so watching you guys takes me places I'd love to see ❤
Congratulations on achieving Snowdon! Really enjoy watching you two and your travels. Since learning Helen is a midwife, fullest of respect to her. I think of my son being born and the midwives who attended, they really are Superwomen! ❤️
Well done for getting up Snowden. Both my husband and I are in our sixties and thought let's go up Snowden. We went up the easiest path last year. It nearly bloody killed me but the views were fantastic. 😂
I had a panic attack at that bit. Well done James, I'm exhausted after watching that. Helen keeps you going. Youve got a good en there. Loved it well done ❤
Massive well done 👏 James & Helen I could never have done that walk , I was out of breath just watching you 😊Very Impressed with Helen’s map reading skills 👍
I've been so looking forward to this, your next hiking video. And it was well worth the wait. Magnificent scenery, pain, world class whingin' (I know you only do it for us viewers), genuine concern. And, of course, Helen lifting you through everything with a smile and a quip. Although I think even she had a little concern when your foot trouble began in a a difficult area. Took guts to carry on. Well done both. Personally, I thought the train was gruelling enough. The seats are REALLY hard!
hi there mate hope you got over that shit mate the only time i did that when I was in the volunteer rescue squad looking for lost personal mate and thank god i don't do That's mate when you do That' you got to do little by little work Your self up mate yes I hope you had a beer after that mate
Helen will never leave you lol the love in her eyes you should have proposed on the top of the mountain she'd have said yes !!!!! Absolutely brilliant vlog guys i know you got down safely we are watching you❤
Helen reads everything, the one best thing is how to read maps and not rely on electronic devices as you can run out of battery or no signal. I would feel very safe up a foggy mountain if someone was as prepared as Helen😆 Gaz Yorkshire.
I felt your pain James when me and my mate got lost on pennine way We walked 3x the distance we should have My legs felt like they were going to fall off and each last step to car park was last step Well done , just as Helen is a nurse 😊
That pub at the end The Stables Bar is in Betws-y-Coed and is one of my favourite pubs. It gets rammed in summer, though, but it has a nice feel-good vibe about it. Climbed Snowden many years ago when I was pretty fit and was no bother, but I'm 50 now and wouldn't want to do it again.
Did this walk in memory of my mum and yes it’s a tit ache of a climb but so so worth it ! Challenging ourselves make us proud x well done guys it’s not easy 👍🏼♥️
Walking poles James really helps with pain pressure off back and knees . Helps with balance too. You are both fabulous. Work well as a team . Used to hike with my hubby at over 18 stone . Killed me but I did it ! Now 7 stone lighter but have health complications so I can’t hike now 😢 typical but I enjoy living it through you two 😊.
Its alr8 but ive got to do it an all! Love the one liners! Felt the pain for you both on this one! Excellent job done and more so with the weather conditions up there!
Massive well done to you both. OMG I could feel myself panicking and I was only watching you. I bet you slept well that night. I am surprised that you do not have to register somewhere that you are climbing up there.
Great footage James. The scenery was absolutely glorious. My quads were throbbing and my lungs were burning- I was knackered just watching 🤣 You did absolutely brilliantly 👏🏼 I couldn’t have done that. Helen is like a mountain goat. She doesn’t even break a sweat 😮😂
I loved watching your hike up the mountain, even though it was 8 hours of hell for you James. You did brilliantly filming, particularly the high scary parts, lol, that was your best hike I reckon and will take some beating and although you may not be looking forward to your next hike I am! Don’t forget your jelly babies!⭐️
Well done James and Helen.i feel like have been on the journey up the Mount with you both ,😮 lovely scenery and waterfalls ,banter between you both , expecially James and his wise cracks through the pain he was in made me laugh so much, what a trooper and I admire what james will do for his love of adventures and love for Helen.great vlog loved it.
That is the best one you have made so far it reminded me years ago when I used to go over striding edge to get to the top of Helvellyn in the Lake District. Keep up the good work Helen looks amazing never out of breath. George.
Could be Plantar Faciitis me old. I did the same thing, did nowt then went on a massive hike. If your feet aren't used to it, thats what happens. Ice pack, cork ball, stretches and rest....and cocktails on the beachin Benidorm ;D
Thanks guys what an awesome effort, might i suggest some hiking poles and a follow me drone, (when the weather is nice of course), Huge well done we knew you could do it.
Just done this walk going in completely blind, all I knew was it was the waterfall way so went for it.... The top was a big shock but a great feeling of achievement when completed.
Blimmin’ heck that did look a right old challenge, and so freakin’ scary at times. Helen must be superwoman! I’m not sure whether it would be any better if you’d had a view though, cos you would have seen where you could have fallen to ! Think it’s better to have had the clouds, so you couldn’t see! 😂😂
Wow that was scary well done both of you !! Some of those edges you were walking on! We walked up Snaefell which is nothing compared to Snowdonia !! 😮 bloody well done 👏 xxx
Amazing video. Love nature. Me n mum loved Helen being so confident and you wussing it lol. I need to start rambling and getting weight off. Good on ya both x
James you did brilliant mate. I would never have done that especially in the wind. I hate heights and would have froze. Great video and big love to you both. Love your vids.
Hat off to you. I wouldn't even attempt it! And would have gone back rather than carry on!! Highest ive climbed is St Michael's Mount in Cornwall, brilliant and well worth the slog fantastic day out 👍👍👍🙌🙌🫶
My husband and I went up by the train , then hiked down the rangers trail , we were in our 60s and couldn't walk hardly the next day ! It was well dodgy in places , we had no water or phone signal , so stupid , but it was a great experience !
Beautiful place Snowdon, very rarely is it clear at the top, but when it is the views are stunning. Have walked it many times, although there was a train up & a little cafe, but that was probably 40 years ago😂 so May no longer be there. Stunning video & great memories x
Some hike ... Helen a super woman and beautiful too with a great knowledge of hiking ans him self , the greatest moaner in the world but fair does he stuck with it and did the full trip ... an amazing area but needs good weather !!!!!! Did that walk but in the opposite direction , in sunny Cleer weather and it was amazing
The scary thing is that when you get to the top, you have to somehow get yourselves back down again, and that looks even more terrifying. Well Done! Stay Safe! 👍👍
