As someone who has lived entirely on the South coast and cycle toured mostly abroad, yourselves showing the beautiful North Countryside is a blessing.
It’s lovely up north,we live in east anglia but always holiday up north,up to North Yorkshire in September. Lovely friendly people.Get ya bike and go see for yourself!😊

Great news about your mum
Hello Gordon’s Mum 👋 👋👋
Thank you so much, sending loads of love to your mum. What is her name? You can send it me through the website if you dont want to put it on here ❤
@@bythecurb hi its Marion xx
My late daughter’s name was Helen. Sadly she took her own life 18 months ago. Hearing you call Helen’s name brings me great comfort. You two are such a joy to walk with. I enjoy all your videos. Thank you!
Fantastic video yet again, your walks and hikes are brilliant. It feels like I'm on the walk with you. Amazing.
Ay-up James and Helen...
Was dark over bills mother's but you really hitting the nail on head.
So many people cant get out and you expressing What's out there.
This channel getting better and better by the video.
Yes editing and music bang on as for the sound of birds and flowing waters it perfect.
Thank you
Just started watching all your vids love the great places you take me , totally destressing, great music to , keep it up ,, from southern softy 😂😂😂😂
You two have opened my eyes to a new place. Looks amazing
Many places in North Yorkshire have similar charm.... it's all good. If you go to Dent, on the fringes of the Yorkshire Dales, it still has it's cobbled streets.......and then there's Dent railway station, a few miles down the road from Dent itself. It is the highest mainline railway station in England, and it is on the spectacular Settle to Carlisle line......
@@Brian-om2hh thank you for the reply. Might take our motorhome to it in the summer when it’s less windy.
My much loved mum who passed away in 2009 used to love going to Burnsall with my dad.
Bless your mum ❤❤ such a beautiful place
Lovely walk and adventure.......that's the wonder of the UK .....sun, ice and flooding in same day. That noise of rain hitting the van when you're in the dry..(ish) ..can't beat it ....
Thank you for putting this together ..the hard work no one sees in the background
G 🙏🤞🦉👋
Thanks mate
I can tell by the quality of the video, you’re confidence is growing, having a woman with an emergency bug out bag is an added bonus 😂
that little grassington bit is what i get to enjoy every day. you 2 should've popped in to the black horse pub for some of the best food in yorkshire :)
You're very lucky. Such a beautiful place 😊
Peaceful way to start the morning (watching you two!)..
Bloody bute! Love you both
You've got to.
Love Yorkshire we have a stunning county 😊
We sure do l live in OTLEY
Great walk going to do that one tomorrow thanks for the inspiration 👍
Thank you. Enjoy!
Raw organic coconut oil, believe it or not, does protect our skin from sunburn AND it’s got nothing toxic on to absorb into our skin…but all sun creams are full to the brim of toxic chemicals, cancerous harmful ones. I began to learn this in 2014 and gradually shifted my lifestyle due to reading labels and ingredients and following those in the knows advice x x x
Anyhow it was Grassington that attracted me to this and it just popped up x x x thanks for sharing 😘😍😍
Absolutely stunning countryside thanks for showing me
I was brought up in Yorkshire, but now live in Bulgaria so I absolutely love joining you on your walks and trips to places I have great memories of .
How's life in Bulgaria? Not a country we're encouraged to know much about,
but if memory serves there's some very good skiing?
ive done this walk quite a few times. its one of my favourite places in the Yorkshire dales. the film Calender Girls was filmed around Burnsall. Buckden and Starbotton is a really nice place for walks just past Grassington.
We absolutely loved it around there
I brought a serious dose of, ay up, back to Dublin from Grimethorpe, circa 1972. Fred Trueman 'ad nowt on me...Ahl see thee after t'break. Coming late to these brilliant vlogs. Yizzer both stars (Dublinese).
Love it!
Aye up…loved it. This is a walk that my sister and I do some summers - shorter version without Thorpe - and it is a wonderful memory each time. We park at Burnsall and do the walk to Grassington, lunch, then walk back. You are right….keep moving whilst you can. Sithee.😊
Thank you, we love it around there.
Lovely shorts. You are a lucky man. 👌
There’s me thinking we have amazing scenery down south .. but blown away on this … …awesome ❤
Go up their for a holiday,it’s wonderfully and less people too!
There's nowt like North Yorkshire. Get tha self 'ere...... This is *real* Herriot country...... Take a trip to Dent railway station - the highest mainline station in England. The views from the station will truly take your breath away.....
We cant get out but enjoyed being on the walk with you both :) - D&L
Thank you
Really enjoyed. My ancestors lived in Pateley bridge which i imagine looks like this.
Yes it's very similar
Nice way to spend a day lovely scenery.all the best James and helen
Just keep getting better and better👍
Hello from Australia. Oh how I wish I lived in the UK ,such beautiful little old towns to visit.
Stumbled upon your channel looking for Yorkshire Dales content, and this video as well as the Masham one, hit the spot. Grassington and the surrounding area was one of my favourite walks which I've done many times. I have friends in Masham, but I don't remember doing the walk you did on that video. I miss the Yorkshire Dales so much and I intend to return in the near future.
Thanks for watching, glad you liked it
Another good en ,welldone James and Helen. ❤❤
When this video started I thought you had just got up and Helen was having a shave LOL, beautiful area, great video. Must put the area on the to do list.
Absolutely love these walking videos with the village pubs 👍🏻😊
Now thats a walk my fav area on the Motorcycle.
Lovely video. What beautiful, natural countryside you’ve shown us. Never been there, but may well travel up from the South
Coast one day. Best wishes to you both. 💕
Glad you enjoyed it
what lovely places you visit x
I did this walk couple years ago and there was a little food hut over road on grass area and had the best sandwich ever , then walked on to apple something can’t remember name was so pretty x❤
Great to see all this and not put the effort in, thanks James and Helen
Gosh, you are both amazing.xx😊
We were here 2 years ago James, stayed in the Black Horse in Grassington, did your walk except this last bit over narrow bridge. Great reminder, love to go back. B
Helen has put you to shame. She is bang on it.
Get another beer
Lovely little park up in Kettlewell just over the bridge and sharp right leave £5.00 in the wall. Great walking down to starbotton & Buckdon. Couple nice pubs.
Yorkshire dales / Grassington / Malham etc had many a nice walk as I used to own a cottage in Airton.
Moved to North America / Canada several moons ago so experiencing another landscape these days but will always miss the Dales…
Aye up thanks for a fantastic walk. It was lovely coming with you thanks to your amazing channel. Sadly I can no longer hike due to ill health. Your videos help me so much. So many many thanks to you both. xx
You are spoiling us with all these vids! Love it 😊
I like "hey up " . Much better than hello or hi . Where I live in Northern Ireland we usually greet people by saying " What about ye " or just " Bout ye " .
That's interesting, I've never heard that one
@@bythecurb . Another popular greeting over here would be "What's the craic ? " meaning how are things going / what are you at .
I was in the Campervan two weeks ago in Appletreewick and Burnsall what a beautiful place. We’re lucky in Yorkshire to have these places on our doorstep great vid as always by you and coranation street queen 😄👍
Great video again guys, this is one of our favourite walks in the dales 👍👍
Helen , I had to pick the emergency ropes up round Darley park Derby and put them back in the holders ! Because the children had taken them to play with ! It’s a sign of the times I’m afraid we’d have never have touched any of the emergency equipment when I was young xx
Marvellous video. Very atmospheric. I could even sense that smell you get when it begins to rain in the countryside. Took me right back to the days when I could tackle a walk like that, although I was never as active as you two are. I used to love that area around Grassington. Thanks for the memories.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hope you find a nice fishshop😅
Lovely walk guys , stayed in Red Lion Burnsall a few years ago very nice .
Hi to you both .We love walking ,not so much hiking .Loved that rocking bridge it looked loverly there mind good blog 😊 ange

I've been binging on your vids for the last couple of days, and its been blast, being from SY i can even understand the wit and sarcasm you give each other
This was a lovely video. Many thanks for taking us along.
Thoroughly enjoying your hiking vlogs, it gets us out into the countryside when we currently cannot get out there ourselves ❤
It is nice to vicariously visit places by watching you two going out on adventures. 😸
Really enjoyed your walk who needs to go abroad keep em coming 👌
Perfect timing for ideas for me to walk and visit during my upcoming 2 weeks off. Thanks for sharing. Love love love it
Me and the Mrs. are both from Darlington but moved to France 34 years ago. We should be at the beach on the Med five minutes walk away enjoying the 🌞 sunshine BUT, we've just watched you in the rainy British summer. Bloody marvellous 😂👍.
Great video really enjoyed watching it, now I better get out to work, looking forward to seeing you in the next video
Good video! Thank you... both!

Absolutely great video again realy enjoying everything you do guys
Lovely spots around masham &Malham I've camped there played rugby there & drank plenty of old peculiar beer.
Another great walking video. Some amazing scenery. Yorkshire looks so nice. When will you walk Holmfirth? I would love to see it. Do what you can whilst you can. You never know when you will not be able to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Jonathan
Holmfirth is on the list, nice fish and chips there too!
@@bythecurb Exellent. Look forward to it.
W what a lovely walk great couple I could watch your videos all day 😊
Ey up James and Helen 👋 That looked absolutely idyllic. It’s not a part of Yorkshire I’ve ever visited 😮 Burnsall looked beautiful if busy and Grassington looks like it’s from another era!
I’m loving your “Walk With Us” travelogues 😍 A little bit of escapism and glorious scenery in the company of two lovely Yorkshire folk. Sithee 👋😂
Thank you, we enjoy making them
Loved the video, thanks so much. It brings back memories of my childhood and life up to 25 years old being originally from Leeds. I visited these places many times in the summer. Malham Cove, Brimham Rocks and Bolton Abbey were also part of this. I still miss them even after living in Cornwall for more than 25 years. My biggest soft spot is the Lake District though. It's by far my favourite place. Not surprising that there were many dog obsessed people again on your travels.
Amazing video yet again, scenery is stunning me and my wife need to go to Yorkshire more some of the trails are as good as anywhere we have been. That ice cream man must have made a fortune that day 😂 please keep them coming makes our day 🎉🎉
Absolutely stunning place ❤
Another brilliant video guys ❤️❤️🚐🚐 xx
Ay,up James and Helen, another great episode, keep them coming!

Really enjoyed this walk as I’ve done it years ago but not able to do it all now.keep up the good work.x
Had the best bangers and mash in the pub in Grassington when we had a trip over from Oz.
That's making me hungry. One of my favourite meals 🙂
Looks like you two are carving out a nice little youtube niche... Great countryside. Doing everything good in these walk videos.

Thank you so much!
Moved up to the area in October last year. Never looked back!
Brilliant, such a lovely place
Everywhere looked beautiful. Lovely walk. 👍🏼xx
Nice Walk.... on video. Yorkshire is beautiful this is on list. Thankyou and aye up!
Lovely walk about guy, thoroughly enjoyed it.
I visited the Yorkshire Dale's on a coach trip from Scotland last year for the first time and found the area stunning and the people so nice down to earth and friendly...good reliving the experience through your videos ❤. We went on the Embsay to Bolton Abbey heritage steam railway and spent a fantastic couple of hours in the lovely village with stunning Bolton Abbey ruins and working church attached, surrounding grounds, walks and river running through the grounds all worth a visit. I'm sure Helen would love it plus the reasonably priced steam journey a highlight too! All run by volunteers with period railway buildings etc. I'm sure people watching your channel would love that kind of content too.
Thank you, I'm going to take Helen to Bolton Abbey, she will love it
Grassington looks lovely
You guys make such a huge range of videos fantastic 😊
Helen i refuse to ever say i am old im 80 in August your still but a spring chicken 😅😅😅

What a fabulous walk people. Shame you got wet 🌧🌧🌧 but thanks for taking us along ❤
Really enjoying your walk with us adventures as my camper van outings become much less frequent due to failing health, take care you both.
super hike ! looks really great
That’s amazing map reading Helen 🎉❤❤ breath taking walk thanks, I’m worn out now 😂
I've done this walk many times and it's one of the best you can do. It's not difficult but it is beautiful. The falls are spectacular when the river is up.
