My first bike after getting my licence was a fantastic little Kawasaki ZXR 400 grey import, it was in immaculate condition, wish I still had it tbh.😢😢👍👍🇬🇧🇩🇰
Thats also a cool bike, and even here in Denmark they still go for around 5-10.000 dollars 😅
Hey Dam. I'm the one that asked if the SDR was a good beginners bike a while back :) I ended up getting the 2021 MT-09 SP. So I am sort of following in your footsteps. The first time I drove home I felt.. whoa, the SDR would have been a bit too much for now. Whenever the Beast 4.0 comes out, I might think about it. I got the new MT-09 SP on 20.08 and I've managed to do 1000 km on it by now, just had the first service. But the weathers are so darn cold here in Finland, last ride I had was with 5 C outside.. So it is not really enjoyable atm (my gear right now being all not autumn oriented). I'm going to put her away for winter on Monday and wait for the next season.

@@DamTheDane I do love it, they've really upgraded it over the previous model, especially the tech side. The SP also has better suspension (I'm riding it on stock settings though). I did test ride the 890 Duke R and the 1290 Super Duke R. Right now I'm glad I picked this :) The bike sounded so good already with the stock exhaust when testing, but the Carbon Racing full Akrapovic system which I got on it is.. insane. The looks might not be the best, but they aren't that bad either. It pops and crackles a lot in the 2nd and 3rd gear :D. Do you use earplugs? I started using them. And no, I have not had it flashed, I am not sure if there is one available for it yet (and that ECU flashing topic is really unfamiliar to me..). The seller told me I won't need to get it, but I do feel the gas being a bit jerky.. Also I've only done 1030 km or so.. might be that too :). So when will you be able to ride again? In the spring? How long did you ride your MT 09? What made you go for the 1290 SDR?

I had my MT09 for a little over a year and the reason I got the SDR is that I like the torque from a Big V-twin and I like the design 😅
my first bike was a KTM Duke 390 awesome bike, then i upgraded to the big brother super duke r gen3 ;p
Are you talking about the 1290 or the 890?
