- We show you how to use your Rogue Fabrication M600 tubing bender (or a Jd2 or any other machine) to make accurate stainless steel hand railings. This video shows how to measure and account for springback, bend offset, and how to make a safe and good looking handrail return. We also cover notching for TIG or MIG welding!
Watched this probably 10 times before designing a few rails not in bendtech. I was able to repeat the bends accurately multiple times. Thanks for the content and the machine. Sure has made my job easier.
This is what motivates us to keep filming. Thank you. So glad we helped.
I have a side gig detailing steel fabrications, and this was very helpful in understanding how ornamental steel handrails are made. Thanks.
I didn't know I wanted to build a hand rail until just now!
It was really nice to see how you use the bender and compare it to how i use it. I think i picked up on a few tricks :) Thanks!
You're welcome Anthony. Thx!
make more vids of just random stuff around the house/shop. i dont even have stair and watched the whole vid just cus i love watching fabrication
We're posting one right now! It is a shop update. First in a new series of bi-weekly shop update videos we're planning on doing!
Amazing work Mr.Rogue!
Thank you!
You guys are highly skilled! Just found your channel. I look forward to watching more. Thanks!
Thank you. We have more projects planned. Stay tuned!
Would love a video showing that sweet 1st gen 4runner that was in the back corner with the exo cage. That's currently what I'm building.
That's super cool, and honestly inspiring for what I can do with my Rogue bender
Thank you Matt!!!
Cool video like the machine dude.
Thx Damien. Do you do any work with tube/pipe right now?
Great video
Well done. Thanks.
😊
Good job
Very cool
Being that you needed 193" then put the offset in after, you will lose overall length on that 193". Are you allotted +or- inches?
Excellent point. Yes, this took away from the 193". But not by enough to disrupt the rail placement to the point that it won't pass a code inspection. A much larger offset could have though!
@@RogueFabrication Understood. I bend tubing for hydraulic systems and must account for all bends as any offset after the fact will shorten my tube and not allow it to seal. On sites, sometimes my tubing conflicts with the electricians or other installers conduits, pipe, tubes, unistrut, etc... when I explain that there is a problem, ofcourse they say, "Just bend around it or put in an offset". I could rebend the tube but at $20+ a foot, it kills me. Also explaining my tube transfers fluid under pressure and theirs doesnt, seems to fall on deaf ears!! Good video.
Wow. Great explanation of how those systems interact and affect each other. Handrails are lucky, not usually near much of anything else!
So " pipe" in a "tube" bender ?
Different die set ?
Yes. Pipe die. We have dies for tube, square, and pipe/EMT
So does the lock block not only hold the pipe so it can be drawn through, but also keeps it from twisting while being formed?
Yes. It is the only thing controlling location and orientation of a bend.
@@RogueFabrication Awesome!! For now I have the good old Harbor Freight roller and bender/kinker tools, soon hopefully an upgrade is in the future. Thanks!!
Nice! Can't wait.
What does it cost per linear foot to build 4’ high double rail railing
This was stainless and it was about 20 dollars a foot in material the way you're describing it. Cost to have one installed is 100-200 dollars a foot from companies that do it professionally.
Rogue Fabrication that’s what I figured about $150 a foot
So I might be interested. I'm looking to do some handrail in California and I'm considering this might be worth it. Can you have a salad rep contact me during work hours?
I will be happy to help! We are in the same time zone and are here til 4pm. - Josh in customer service
