Thanks guys for the upload. These were so unpopular where I was when I was a kid. Thanks for shining a light on these figures I skipped these and went to BCA and was collecting other Dukes of Hazzard remakes at the time these were being released.
My neighbor had a Macho Man and Sting. I never had an interest in the rubber guys from LJN or OSFTM. They never felt like figures to me. Appreciate the video and coverage nonetheless. I look forward to these videos every Christmas. Thanks guys!
Would love to see these guys get together in person rather than through webcam, like they did with the LJN episode. I go back to that LJN episode every year -- simply epic.
Been a Listener since day one, and they probably discussed it on a bonus pod but i would love a "Great Purge of 09" Doc... always interested as a collector.... Once again, Great Work Gentlemen
First time I remember seeing these was on tv on WCW Main Event when Gene Okerlund and Bobby Heenan hosted the studio show and they had the figures on the desk. Probably early 95
Johnny B. Badd vs Eddie Guerrero was a match on one of my grandfathers tapes and to this day is one of the greatest matches you will ever watch. Match is from November 13th, 1995 and is on the WWE UA-cam channel. Absolutely recommend watching it.
Every year I go on a christmas walk and listen to the episode ever since a bad Christmas turned amazing. It's a little chilly out this year, just gotta bundle up cuz its a tradition, dammit!
I remember seeing these figures, for the first time, on an episode of WCW Saturday Night, some time in either '94 or '95. I remember instantly getting LJN vibes when I saw them. I remember some kids in the audience were holding Sting and Hogan figures and they looked awesome! I'm a big fan of these figures because they are similar to the LJN's, which is my all time favorite action figure line...period. I only wish that we could've gotten more characters instead of all of those repaints though. This was fun to watch because there aren't many videos covering these figures.
This is great stuff guys. Had a busy holiday season slinging nooners so I'm finally getting around to watching this. The figure community owes you big time for breathing new life into these vintage toy lines.
This is another 5 star podcast. I love hearing the process of creating these figures. I was just 6 or 7 when these figures were released. I love the WCW figures that were released in late 98-99.
I've been waiting for this video Christmas 96 I got Sting in pink tights, Hogan w belt , Vader, Pittman, Flair in Blue, and Booker T in purple along with the Ring w cage and steps w sound module (along with a bunch of BCA figs and Full metal entrance theme CD) but by far my favorite Christmas ever as a kid
Thanks for another history of, and, very excited for this as i always wanted these figures but they were hardly available in Canada or where I was. Yes the AEW ljn type are more like these. This line is underrated from the likeness, paint and carding. Hope you guys had a Major Christmas
to be perfectly honest I have never really been into collecting the action figures my best friend is really into it even now he's into it I never really was but I respect your passion for it to remind me of him and I really enjoy your podcast for what that's worth
1st ones of these I got was for Christmas cause mom and dad knew I was a huge flair fan and randy savage fan. I got a four pack with hogan savage flair and giant with a way too small flat ring lol. Still have it loved it. One of those last years of getting toys for Christmas from family
I used to have Sting with his baseball bat in this line. I bought the figure from one of my local newsagents off all places in the UK. They used to have alot of Spawn action figures for sale as well.
I remember September '96 going to Orlando florida on holiday, And seeing these for the 1st time In KB toys whilst shopping in the Mall with my family. Being from the UK, This was the 1st time I'd ever seem them... I remember getting Vader, Sting & Flair that day.
I'm sure you get this all the time but these genuinely were my childhood. The blue tights and yellow boots Sting was the first wrestling figure I ever got as a child when I was 4 years old. I also had purple tights Flair, two Hogan's (both complete with WCW title belt), Johnny B. Badd wearing white with blue trim, both Harlem Heat wearing black, both nasty boys wearing black, Vader, The Giant, Kevin Sullivan wearing black, and Jimmy Hart (caucasian version) along with the shitty ring that had Sting and Vader figures standing in the ring on the box cover. I pretty much had every osftm hard figure made except for Savage, Craig Pittman, Alex Wright, the Blue Bloods & Big Bubba Rogers. I quit buying them when they switched to the articulate figures in 1997, plus I kinda switched to watching WWF mostly too. Also I had damn near every WWF early series bendem (from before they switched to having the scratch logo on the card, I forgot which series that was) and all of the first two WWF jakks Superstars series and series three "Bad Guys", along with two new generation era Monster Rings, with red white and blue ropes. God, my old man spent a fortune on all that shit. I still have them all at my Ma's house somewhere. I gotta go find all that stuff...
That Alex Wright could make for an easy Misfit custom . He’s so pale, Devil lock and leather jacket . Just add dark circles on the eyes paint the pants on …
I had the complete collection of these sold em a couple years ago for $300 I believe. Just needed to downsize some of my figure collection. Great figures.
7:10 I'm right there with you Mark! For whatever reason I was totally anti WCW. I'd see the commercials and think of it as fake WWF haha. like you I finally started watching in around 1996/7.
See, I was always the complete opposite. Whenever I was a kid and I would see commercials for WWF Superstars or raw or something I always thought it was some hokey, cartoony, horseshit. My wrestling was at 6:05 every Saturday night on TBS and I always thought that shit was way more real and badass than WWF's cartoon stuff. But then as I grew up and the attitude era happened I slowly switched to WWF.
I have a strong memory of seeing the Blue Bloods at a dollar tree in the late 90s. I had no idea they were mail ins. Watching the video, is this even possible?
I don't know if yall collected them but I was into the WcW Smash N Slam figures 😅 some of the ones I had was DDP, Hollywood Hogan, and my favorite was Wolfpac Sting!
I’m disappointed you guys didn’t talk about the smaller, articulated figured. They were the first time Raven, DDP, Goldberg, and Buff Bagwell got figures.
I swear I remember a weird green repaint of Harlem Heat, maybe a figures inc exclusive again. Have this image in my head of the Nasties and Heat both having weird green repaints at the same time. Am I crazy?
This series has become an essential Christmas watch. Up there with Home Alone imo. 🎅🏻
Better than Home Alone.
Hands down, I love forward to it and end up watching multiple times over the year
I'm not a big movie guy so these "history of" shows have quickly become my go-to Christmas entertainment tradition. Thanks Guys 🤘
Wish they could’ve done it together
Legit has become a Christmas 🎄 tradition watching these nini docs
I had Sting in blue tights, the giant, hulk Hogan yellow, Hollywood Hogan, and more. Then came out with the vibrating WCW figures I had crow sting.
It's become a Christmas tradition now, Major Pod figure history... RIP Robby "Jewish Lightening" Kanoff ...
I don’t even collect and look forward to these every Christmas!
RIP Jewish Lightning, Great Retrospective!
I'm on my 4th viewing of the hasbro history in the last week, can't get enough.
Thanks guys for the upload. These were so unpopular where I was when I was a kid. Thanks for shining a light on these figures I skipped these and went to BCA and was collecting other Dukes of Hazzard remakes at the time these were being released.

I agree, that felt more festive and enjoyable. especially when they had the figures set up and everything, i was expecting that. oh well.
I am still impressed that they were on the road with Wwe at the times and still dragged around $1000’s of dollars of LJN’s
As a 15 year old this is the coolest stuff I learned about action figures
Been a Listener since day one, and they probably discussed it on a bonus pod but i would love a "Great Purge of 09" Doc... always interested as a collector.... Once again, Great Work Gentlemen

Merry Christmas and a happy holiday to Brian, Matt, Mark, and everyone in the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast community.

I got socks, I got beef jerky, that's all great, but this is the best present I got this year...thanks guys! and merry Christmas 🎅
Worth the wait every year as always.
What a great video! These videos are always spot on! Merry Christmas to everyone!
Love these History Of episodes. I bought some of these loosie. If you’re very careful, an alcohol pad will get the scuffs off
listening to this show while I drive to my mom's house is a Christmas tradition now
echoing some of the other comments, but this is a Christmas tradition I now look forward to every year. Great work fellas!
I can say for a fact that a dog will chew OSFTM - RIP my mint Taz
This is great stuff guys. Had a busy holiday season slinging nooners so I'm finally getting around to watching this. The figure community owes you big time for breathing new life into these vintage toy lines.
YESSS! Been looking forward to this all day!

This is fantastic! I don’t even collect figures, but the passion you guys have is so damn entertaining! Well done.
Good Old Days of WCW figs! Great video guys
17:10 that Hogan prototype also doesn't have rips along his tanktop, it's smooth.
That macho man talking figure at 1:11:40 says “Mancho Man”
Matt using a Hero Head of himself at GCW is something I need in my life now!
That Vader had a hell of a rivalry with my bone crunching mankind when I was a kid.
The length of Wolf Pack Sting's arms look like his knuckles would be dragging standing upright on his tippy toes LoL
Awesome as always. Thank you. Look forward to this every year.
Another home run guys
TIL Jewish Lightning: "a derogatory phrase describing the act of burning down a home or institution in order to collect the insurance money." 😂😂
Classic content right here 🤘 I rock with you guys my favorite wrestling podcast on UA-cam
Thanks for another history of, and, very excited for this as i always wanted these figures but they were hardly available in Canada or where I was. Yes the AEW ljn type are more like these. This line is underrated from the likeness, paint and carding. Hope you guys had a Major Christmas
Can you imagine if WCW picked up the Hasbro license in 94?
to be perfectly honest I have never really been into collecting the action figures my best friend is really into it even now he's into it I never really was but I respect your passion for it to remind me of him and I really enjoy your podcast for what that's worth

I love these history ofs, you could do a history of the bone crunchers and only go through X amount of series' and everybody would be fine with that.
Next year should be WWF Jakks bone crunchers, no doubt about it.
BCA's 200%
Late night Christmas tradition
Idk, but all I want for Christmas is next year remco, then galoob. Deep dive, history, all of it.
I remember seeing the Blue Bloods 2 pack at my local TRU all the time, literally pegwarming forever
I used to have Sting with his baseball bat in this line. I bought the figure from one of my local newsagents off all places in the UK. They used to have alot of Spawn action figures for sale as well.
0:48 Wait Robby died? WTF? Noooooo!
RIP to "Jewish Lightning" Robby Kanoff...
My brothers and I would use that Big Van Vader action figure as an absolute WEAPON!
I have been on the hunt for WCW figures for almost 2 years now there’s a certain to that I need to complete my tag team collection
The Pittman figure and his initial push were awesome. Code Reds for everybody.
I remember September '96 going to Orlando florida on holiday, And seeing these for the 1st time In KB toys whilst shopping in the Mall with my family. Being from the UK, This was the 1st time I'd ever seem them... I remember getting Vader, Sting & Flair that day.
Never seen the black Jimmy Hart before. That is beyond hilarious 😂
The Vader is one of my alltime favorite childhood wrestling figs
I really enjoyed this video. Thanks guys!
I hope the WCW Toybiz figure line is this Christmas special
Tall should do the awa remcos this year
Christmas tradition watching this... i jus wish you guys did this in person

Another masterpiece guys. The ending may me laugh so hard. Can't wait til the next one.
Masterpiece?
@@rubberchix yes these guys put a ton of work and research into these yearly specials. Recognize the effort respect the hustle.
I remember getting these in early 95 at a Walmart the next town over. I got the same 4 that Brian got. Vader, Sting, Hogan and Flair.
Awesome as always, did you notice the nasty boys single cards have the names flip flopped too like Harlem Heat?
This is dedicated to Kevin Sullivan doing his laundry
Happy holidays Major marks from Down under!
Merry Christmas 🌲
@40:00 "An Original Kid" theres a T shirt idea if i've ever heard one.
Nothing like some Downstait to get the juices flowing on Christmas morning.
That Alex Wright could make for an easy Misfit custom . He’s so pale, Devil lock and leather jacket . Just add dark circles on the eyes paint the pants on …
Hated all of these as a kid but this is good stuff
Matt better get himself another Holiday Woody.
I had the complete collection of these sold em a couple years ago for $300 I believe. Just needed to downsize some of my figure collection. Great figures.
I remember these figures being $2.99 on clearance at Kay Bee Toys circa 1997
I had that KB Toys 4 pack!! Got it for Christmas.
Oh Yeah!
We need a full history of bone crunchers next
im buying if you guys make the hero heads 😂
Next year, titantron, bca, or wcw toybiz. What I would love to see.
Really need history of bone crunchers
"He is so hard" - Matt Cardona 2022
Sorry, I had to lol
Unfunny
@@rubberchix You feel better now?
Based on how long it took for Chelsea and Matt to drive from NY back home to Florida you could watch this at least 12 times.
There's a Kevin Sullivan with red trunks and red boots, even red makeup on his forehead, the taskmaster it was, same pose too
Hero Heads is wild bro 💀 😂 🤣

34:25 OMG Wrong Race!!!! 🤣
I have a strong memory of seeing the Blue Bloods at a dollar tree in the late 90s. I had no idea they were mail ins. Watching the video, is this even possible?
No chance at Dollar Tree.
It's a shame it's not in person with the figures like that year with Conrad.
The guy who painted the first-run Jimmy Hart probably thought he was Stevie Wonder.
Can't wait 🤘
You guys have done it again can you do the wcw toy biz next
Series one original release also had the ring with hogan and flair.
can you do a video on those stretchy wrestling figures of the 90s
I swear I remember a weird green repaint of Harlem Heat, maybe a figures inc exclusive again. Have this image in my head of the Nasties and Heat both having weird green repaints at the same time. Am I crazy?
Should have thrown in the WCW GALOOB figs....those are my favorite.
Merry Christmas ❤️ 💚
MERRY CHRISTMAS BOYS!!! HES SO HARDDDDDDDD
Now THAT is how you end a special
