2:10 That's toy history right there. That's the Ideal Superman wooden doll from 1940, probably the first articulated character figure and thus arguably the very first action figure.
Epic, I remember seeing it and knew something was special about it 😁
Whatever the Blackstar glider thing is i can tell you i had a Spiderman one of the same line in the early 80s. It came with a rubber band catapult and the idea was you folded the wings back and shot it straight up like a missile. Through some mechanism the wings released as it slowed at the top of it's trajectory and it glided to earth. Very cool but very fragile. I left it out in the rain once and it was ruined.
I’m fascinated by that thing, so great to hear there’s more out there but it did indeed look like it wouldn’t last a summer. So that’s why I was so amazed to see it 🤓

Great looking show! Wow! Never seen the Joe toy box or the Oolar! I love toys especially 80s,90s(some 70s) but I also collect new horror toy stuff & some new MOTU, tmnt & Joe stuff. Mainly cause they look the old toons or they are retro looking

21:13 I believe that thing had a propeller on the tip and the wings flapped you would wind the propeller and throw it. After about the the third throw if you did not lose it it would break. You would find these things at a flea market or a carnival. They would have different brands logos Batman, Superman, or made to look like a bird.

If you are ever over in the North of England, come and check out Cosmic Toys in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. It has a extensive vintage collection of Godzilla items (figures, sofubi, cinema exclusives, a giant -not for sale- burning Godzilla, and all sorts of other things like vintage VHS and DVDs) and a whole host of other goodness spread over 2 floors inc. vintage SW (3rd floor is not open to the public but I'm sure you could convince Gareth to let you up there! The store has a channel on here as well!)
The Riddler guys are just redone Green lanterns, and the bad thing with sealed is that people RESEAL and I just watched a Sealed Grey skull be actual Resealed
