Something I love that I haven't seen anyone talk about is the player character. He/She has so much more expression, and I love how they are more involved in cutscenes, like when you first go to that big tree for instance! There are of course, small nitpicks with this DLC, but this is by far the most fun I have had in a main series Pokemon game in quite a while!
I reset 15 times to catch articuno because hail kept killing him but when I caught him he was marked also zapdos and moltres easy EDIT: tip for zapdos fully upgrade your bike spam the B button until your close enough to catch him/her

I caught Regidrago extremely easy, luckily left it at almost near 1HP with my Shiinotic , make it sleep with Spore , used a dusk ball...boom 1st try catch. Also it could barely do anything to my Shiinotic in terms of attacks.
I got regieleki easily. I just took it down to red and threw a few of pokeballs and boom caught, the only legendary in the game that gave me a hard time was Regirock since I masterballed calyrex and articuno
Same, I just used brutal swing and thunder wave with my Hatterene and then just used a dusk ball and caught first try if you don’t count the 2 times I killed it cuz of its horrible defense

26:31 you see those four rocks and that unlit den? Bring all 5 Regis and have them in your party and go to the den it will then allow a wishing piece and you can have a 1v1 with Gigas. This means yes you either need 2 copies of the game or need to trade for Eleki/Drago
I love how the Galarian bird music has three main scores and they basically fight each other via their themes (first segment was Zappos, then articuno, then moltres, then they fight for dominance.)
If you’re interested in some lore, there are small pedestals by the crop fields scattered around the tundra. I’ve only read two of them so far, but they seem to be telling the events of calyrex’s reign from the eyes of the past villagers. Unrelated to that and I’m sure others have mentioned it by now but it’s also interesting(?) that Peony keeps calling everything “ultra mega”. Haven’t finished the dlc yet so don’t know if anything becomes of it but thought it was worth pointing out nonetheless!
Fun fact: The fastest Pokémon (including forms, megas, etc.) before Crown Tundra were Speed Forme Deoxys with 180 base speed and then Ninjask with 160 base speed. They held those titles since 2004 with the release of Pokémon Emerald in Japan. Now, just over 16 years later, they’ve added Regieleki, a legendary Pokémon with massive attack stats as well and only one weakness (that can be negated by magnet rise), coming in at 200 base speed.

Put a bunch of legends in your team, then do the galarian star tournament at the wyndon stadium! It’s super fun, it’s a bunch of multi battles with gym leaders!
That Zapdos nearly decimated me because I accidentally triggered Defiant... That combined with Reversal at low HP and my team of level 100s was crumbling (except for my Milotic).
Hey now, Zapdos is no coward. It was testing your endurance. Note that once you kept up with it for a certain amount of time it stopped running and turned to face you.
