    Guess I need to do my own review. Couple of tips. Nobody mentions hill hold. Much better than heated grips! Very convenient when stopped at any slope. Amazing innovation. Have you played with the preload? Changes the ride- might be ok for you.
    1000 miles and you’re not in race pro mode??? You fine tune everything. AND the only way you get enhanced exhaust sound is in race mode or using race pro mode . In race pro you get the comfortable ride with more responsive throttle, etc. and enhanced exhaust sound. At least some pops!

    The M Seat is made thinner than the stock seat with the purpose of providing more feel and feedback to the rider on the race track. So, the rider can get a better feel of how the bike is performing on the track. My suggestion would be to buy the stock seat for $500.00 and use it for street riding. You can always put the M seat back on whenever you want to take pictures 📸 The stock seat is definitely more comfortable as it has more padding.

    Almost 18,000 miles on my 2022 S1K not one issue. It’s at the dealership getting its 18k service. They are being really slow about almost 2 week now. I don’t know why it takes this long for a service.

      @markettradinggenius 4 місяці тому +3

      Bro, it shouldn't take that long for any service. Two weeks? Thanks but no thanks. I wouldn't get the bmw if they are that slow. Or, if I did get one, I would make sure that there are excellent master bmw mechanics with their own shop and business that could do it for me in the same day ! I didn't even have that issue with my 2023 MV Agusta Rush 1000 Limited Edition. Went in for my major first service, came back out less than 6 hours later !!! Not a single electrical or mechanical issue with my bike. Just bought my wife a new MV Agusta Mamba Edition that she loves out of this world...

      Its because dealerships nowadays only have 1 qualified mechanic and 3 morons who can only do oil changes. So that 1 guy gets ALL the work that actually takes any skill and the dealership makes 150 dollars an hour on the other 3 guys.... Its QUITE LITERALLY how every service department in the country operates now...even HD is the same exact way. My local BMW dealer has 1 guy....1 freekin guy that is worth a damn....

    Seat for sure. I ended up getting the wunderlich seat with the red strip. Matches the bike perfectly and adds 1.5 cm of height. After you do the flash, I would recommend going to washington cycle and tuning the preload to your weight. It's a whole new world after that. Also, you don't get the most out of the bike unless you use race mode 1,2,3. Tailor them to different things for example road, track, etc. Plus if you adjust the preload like I suggested you can only alter the suspension in race mode 1,2,3.

    I live in Hong Kong where there are more BMW cars than taxis, but seems only the police use BMW bikes, so I decided to buy one for the sake of novelty. Just made an offer for a 23’ S1000rr M, my only worry is that I’ve not ridden a bike in city streets for years and I am a bit nervous with this one, especially at low speeds manoeuvres in busy traffic. Should I get a say 400 - or even rent one - ride it for a short time before taking the 1000 out? Strange enough, this 1000 weighs the same as the zx4rr 400cc. So does it feel like a 400cc?

    Great if you love the s1000rr but bmw knows there will be issues right out of the crate on this bike that's why they give 5 years warranty and if anything does go wrong, parts can be a long wait. I have ridden it and wasn't impressed. For the price you pay for the s1000rr I got the new ninja zx10r comes with brembo brakes, titanium headers, and took out the cat put a mid pipe with the akra carbon exhaust, asv levers, wrs screen, bonamici rearsets etc and still am under what I would have paid for the s1000rr. The zx10r is one of the most comfortable out of the litre bikes. Japanese quality and reliability can not be beat, still.

      Profitability...they got a better margin from Nissin and Marzoochi (or whoever is making them). I own the M1000RR and I can tell you that on the street you are never going to know the difference between Ohlins and the M series brakes and suspension....they are fantastic. On the track, MAYBE you could tell a difference, but its going to be very small.....I also own a Ducati SP, and I could never tell the difference....other than looks...

      @@jimineye5352 denying a claim is different from voiding a warranty. An ECU flash doesn't void a warranty. The BT Moto flash is actually sold and installed at some dealerships. BMW North America can deny a claim for any reason really. If you put your exhaust on, you really really need to get a tune. The reliability issues are with the M motor....I believe break in on the 2 ring pistons is a LOT more critical...and I also think they may have a bearing issue with that motor, as there are more than just a few that have had failures, not just Motomillion and Carwow.....Calimoto was a rod failure on the S motor like yours, but thats the only one I have heard about on that motor.... I own an M so I have been very diligent to not do anything that voids warranty yet. Also, onthe S motors, you have all the clowns rev-bombing the dog crap out of them and then whining that they have problems and expect warranty to cover it...dude, redline exists for a reason....warranty isnt there to cover obvious owner abuse, its there to protect from DEFECTS :D Your bike will be FINE John, as you take care of them!!

      @@RadDadisRad 200 hours isn't a lot? Or are you commenting on the break-in period? Break-In is more or less an extra step of security. 200hp+ on a liter is insane, not even the new 2024 zr1 has a better hp to size ratio.
      If you talking about age of the motor shouldn't degrade it, it does. All motors degrade over time. Top fuel dragster motors are basically fried by the time they get to the end of the quarter mile.
