I started walking after my 9th child got on the school bus in the morning. I was in my mid 40s. I’ve been walking ever since. I can feel the difference in my physical and mental health, it’s much better on the days I walk. I try and make it a priority to start my day. I have more energy.

Hello from Germany, Katie! I think it's awesome that you're taking daily walks. You live in a beautiful area with a lovely landscape. I enjoy walking very much - enjoying nature and the fresh air. I always get depressed when my arthritis acts up and I can't walk. So I'm always thankful when I'm able to take my walk.
    Take care and stay safe!💚

That should've cost you $150! It did 4 years ago! Just canned up 8 qts of applesauce (more yet to do) from our apples from our small orchard. Hubby made apple cider too. Diced tomatoes and tomato sauce, cabbage and meat still going on. But, I'm done with corn and reen beans. Dehydrating onions still. But, I got my quota of dehydrated mushrooms, parsley, basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme and marjoram. Still foraging though! Our rooster attack me and he's going into the freezer monday. He was so sweet for the longest time then he just, well, he drew first blood! But, I hatched out 2 sets of chicks and there's 2 roosters among them, so far. I hope I'm not oversharing or boring you. I love your channel.

Thank you for sharing!! I live reading comments like this. I love hearing what’s going on in your world. We have always had to eat our roosters too. They just end up being too brutal with little kids around to witness their antics😅

We have grandchildren and great grandchildren (I am a young great Nana) lol. So, having a rooster that attacked me, I can't trust him anymore. He used to walk beside me and just stand next to me, walk among our visitors and (I did have a duck I hatched out in my arms though) he just challenged me. So, it's either spurs clipped off or freeze camp. I leaning towards spurs definitely clipped off and stayed clipped off. He just might hate ducks. I was in the way. 🤷‍♀️

Thanks for sharing the haul, and I will go out for my own walk now. It’s purring down, and the wind has been crazy. Many in my area has a power outage after last yesterday and this night and mornings weather. It’s getting better now, and it 1:30 pm here, and there will be around freezing temperatures later, so better walk my round now, and get cozy inside later 😊

I was having the worst flare ever in Aug/Sept. I’m on a gut protocol and some new meds to hopefully control my scleroderma symptoms. I’m in pain everyday and have been majority of my life. It does get worse with activity and certain things I just cannot do- like ride in a golf cart- the rattling cause my body to have an inflammatory response that’s just so painful. I woke up today aching so bad. For me, I’m in pain no matter what I do so I figure I might as well move and get fresh air for my mental health and resilience. When I rest I get super stiff😅 I can’t win either way so I just keep rising and moving. Loving and living. I try not to fear the future, and live in these moments. My heart has been so heavy. Walking has lessened my tears🥺🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

Things are much better now ( being more gentle with myself, some supplements. Looking into D r Christopher brand to get more at the " root" ) Just wish I had " back up" plans/support . If it happens again. I think you may understand. Thank you for the encouragement. ❤️

Im like you i would make up excuses or convince myself that i was to busy (mother life) but then woth all the problems i have had with my health issues i realized i need to take care if myself before i can really take care of others. I also want to live a ling life and spend time with my family So thank you for walking everyday it got me motivated. Recently told to go dairy free, i have been gluten Free for sometime but now no dairy i feel like there is nothing to eat lol

Hi Heather!! I know that feeling all too well. I upped my protein and fat when I went cow dairy free. I learned to love goat cheese, and coconut😅 I’m on a strict diet but I still managed to get worse diagnosis’s - I don’t know where I went wrong. Maybe just life stress took me out. Gotta keep rising and not let that define me- although autoimmune disease is a huge part of my life- I refuse to let it hold me down as much as it’s trying to. I love extreme sports- and while I can no longer do those things of past, I can walk! 🌻🌻🌻

It's great knowing you can spend your money on the "side items" and not mostly on meat, ain't it!!?? I'm thankful Emma hunts and provides our "beef" meat for the year, except chicken but we raise them too! All we have to buy are the veggies and fruits we don't or can't grow ourselves, and grains/baking items. I have started shopping only for the pantry and freezers with the weekly sale ads and using what we have already bought on sale and just restocking on sale items, only buying stuff full price if needed unexpectedly.
Love you mommy! Thanks for sharing 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️

I tell you what, after buying supplemental meat this past year for the first time in 6 years😅 I’m so glad we have had a fruitful season so far. We still have two elk tags and possibly another opportunity to secure meat.
Aaron and I harvested this deer all by ourselves for the first time ever. We usually call a friend to help. But we did it with 5 kids in tow and being harassed by some hunter hating folks that were nearby and heard my shots. 😅 Long story short they called the sheriff, ruined my family’s experience harvesting our first dear together all 7 of us. Boo for bad people. Yay for meat in the freezer!
I’m totally going on a spending freeze. I’m so thankful for a stocked home to get us through the next few months. I knew this time would come and now we will be cycling through all our food stores. Thankful for provisions. Thankful for you too! Thinking you you🌻🌻🌻

I paid to get the medals, but you could just decide which one you want to do, take the total miles, and subtract it every day. And have a running tally of how many miles. It would be a good math challenge for the kids to keep track for you.

I would love to hear how carnivore is helping your auto immune.. we have auto immune in my home too and although keto has been helpful we just cannot sustain that

    • @RowesRising
      @RowesRising  Рік тому +1

I eat way less food on carnivore. I’m sustained longer and need less food because o fill up on meats. It has helped my pain and inflammation. Although I still have daily pain its not debilitating like it gets from flares from constant inflammatory food consumption 😅
I don’t have gut pain unless I taste certain grains and wheats- then I’m doubled over in pain. I do enjoy some non carnivore foods in moderation. I’m not a strict carnivore- for example I had eggs and bok choy last night, and some blue berries and yogurt. Most days I’m strict but I do have my “cheat days” where I eat healthy Whole Foods that aren’t qualified on the carnivore diet. I’ve had rice 1x in the last 4 weeks. That was a tough one to get out of my diet. I was eating rice daily and my provider suggested I quit it too. It was rough but I don’t miss it now. Takes me 3-4 weeks to stop craving foods after I quit them. 😅 My weight is stable. That was my biggest worry was losing weight- but with walking daily I must be building muscle cause my weight is solid as a rock on this mostly carnivore/keto diet. And I only eat one meal a day most days cause I’m just not feeling hungry all day like when I ate more carbs.
