Katie, I’ve commented many times so nothing new when I say that I love your grocery hauls and how hyper aware you are about buying, and using, “real” foods. I can really appreciate it. I watch many YTubers and the junk (processed, pre-packaged) they buy is astounding. Yes, I understand that eating healthy clean foods is expensive but there’s a limit to excuses if one is buying gallon jugs of sweet tea, chips, “fruit” bars, etc…Very enjoyable, and refreshing, video!
Thank you Kitty🥰 Making the best of everyday. I started walking daily and I’m on a pretty intense gut protocol for all my autoimmune diseases- You see HOPE in my eyes. I’m hopeful I can slow the progression or put into remission what I’m dealing with. I just have to keep rising everyday and doing the best I can for my health. I want to live!!! I have to have a positive outlook for my health and wellness. I’m coming out of a long depression since being told about scleroderma last March…all the pain I’m in has a root cause. It’s validating but also very scary and some days I worry and cry. I still have really hard days but I have a bit of hope today. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
❤❤ We are kindred spirits. I am mostly carnivore also & don‘t eat grains….but I do love baking bread for the non-carnivore family & for our church Eucharist. Still prepping with wheat berries, rice, pasta, & beans. I do cheat with rice though occasionally.
I thought rice would be impossible to quit, I’m 3 weeks in no rice😅 I prep with grains and beans too- I won’t starve but I might have lots of pain but we’ll be fed. 🌻🌻🌻
My 15 yr old dog and I do at least a mile walk one to two times a day most days. If one of us is really not feeling well or are hurting too much we at least do several small walks that day
I like that. I think I might have to do a few small walks as well. Some days I do a shorter walk but only one. Breaking up the distance will help on those painful days.
You are such an inspiration to me, Katie! I really need to take time to go for daily walks, but always talk myself out if it. It’s so important especially these days to take care of our mental and physical health. Delegating tasks is hard for many of us, but so beneficial to our children learning lifelong skills. Thanks for sharing your time with us 😊
It’s the best gift you can give yourself. I listen to podcasts or vlogs with my headphones and I could walk forever in solitude. It’s necessary especially for stressed out moms. I really needed to start walking to clear my head. I cannot tell you how much it has helped my mental space. I have been with my kids 24/7 for 11 years without extended family support or a babysitter, often with my husband out of town traveling. I’m battling health issues, and I’m just really struggling with the stress of my husbands medical retirement next month, and all that brings. Losing our income at the holidays etc. I’m a mess. I’m so stressed. Walking soothes my soul. If I don’t walk, I’m crying every 5 minutes because I have very low cortisol levels to handle my days. 😅I don’t have the bandwidth for much drama these days. I hope that you start walking and that it lifts you up🌻
Enjoyed this episode! Don’t be hard on yourself. It’s ok if we all have a moment once in awhile that you’re not always on ! You feel like you got to find some time for yourself, that just allows you to relax and grow and be a better person. I like you getting out and walking and moving challenge . I accept that challenge. Have a great day
Thank you Carol! I’m making myself a priority this year! So much has happened since I’ve been a mom and I had zero breathing room. I have been so focused on the home and family I was neglecting myself and my health. I can’t do that anymore. Making healthy habits a priority from here forward. 🌻🌻🌻
Katie!!! Always happy to “see” you. I too struggle with delegating at times. I’m so used to doing it all. Also I’m kinda stuff in my way of doing things lol. I’ve been working more on learning more about why I have auto immune/gut issues. And I came across a tidbit that may be of some help to you and yours. Did you know that if your vitamin d is below 50 your gut microbiome will not be able to stay healthy and that inflammation and auto immune issues will become more likely. Also it causes bone pain and muscle weakness/pain. Oh and even migraines. So all the work I’ve been doing wasn’t sticking potentially because I have really low vit d. I saw you have comet I too used that till about a week ago for my tubs toilets showers. Then I saw someone mix a quarter cup of borax in warm water mix and then place in a spray bottle. You spray it all down wait a few minutes then clean with a damp rag. Oh goodness works so much better than comet. I was amazed. Anyway. As always much love and blessings.
I’ll have to try that with the borax- I actually have some. Regards to vitamin D, last check I was not deficient at all. I have been working so hard to have better vitD after being deficient for years. Did you know we need adequate healthy fats in our diet to be able to make vitamin D? It’s also a hormone😅 I didn’t know that. I noticed after I went primarily carnivore and eating more fatty meats I am no longer deficient in vitamin D- my body can make it now. I’m in the midst of a total gut reset including supplements for better bio film and to help me absorb nutrients better. I have plenty of vitamin D but my liver is showing that I’m “malnourished”. I have high CRP which am an be from a variety of things- liver isn’t happy. My gut is messed up from celiacs and scleroderma. I’m working with a functional medicine specialist to heal and restore my gut and hopefully calm these autoimmune issues and keep scleroderma from wreaking too much havoc. I haven’t shared at all but I will. Maybe in a live I can go over everything I’ve been doing this past year. I have been quiet about my health- I have been really depressed. Wouldn’t know it in these videos- I have my moments where I’m just so sad about scleroderma. I started seeing my old care provider who was once my midwife- she’s a NP functional med specialist now- out of pocket, but we have hope. I don’t feel like I have a death sentence like I did a few months back. 😔It’s been really hard knowing that my body is trying to kill me. I’m still awaiting 4 referrals- gastroenterologist, endocrinologist, immunologist, and rheumatologist. I haven’t spoken up about it all because I’m still awaiting answers- but working with this new provider to hopefully stop the damage to my organs in the meantime. These referrals have taken nearly a year to get scheduled- the sick care system is a sham. So I’m out of pocket to pay for real health care and that sucks financially, but I need to live.🌻
It was work!! I can’t wait to share the mess of 2 cast iron skillets I found at the thrift store- they turned out beautifully!!! I used a totally different process and it took a few days. 😅
Love these videos. I'm like you, I need to delegate more. My kids want to help, I just need to get out of my own way and let them. Even if its easier to do it myself 🤪

Thank you Patricia🌻🌻 I had two different sized pans 11.5x17.5in. and 10.5x15.5in. You can make it in the larger pan and pour the leftover in muffin tins if you don’t have the smaller size. I guess I should make the recipe fit one pan. 😅
Katie you are Such a Delight to watch and you have a beautiful spirit. Many Blessings to you and your family 🤗🤗🙏 Kendra
Thank you Kendra🥰

Thank you Ohio Farm Girl!! We budget and are cheap elsewhere so we can afford whole healthy foods. 😅 It’s a full time job managing good this way.
You look like you are feeling well. I saw sparkle in your eyes.

Wow that view!!
It’s beautiful and practically in my backyard. 😅
Everyone needs alone time. Being outside is so good for everyone!

Good for you using the Thrift Store pan find. Looks like new!👍😊 You are a busy Mom & Wife! Thank you for your videos.
I appreciate you watching Cathy!! 🌻
I also scored two rotten cast iron pans that I’m restoring at this moment. Awesome finds!

Hi Ally!! Thank you so much for watching my videos 🥰🌻🌻
Love watching your home making ❤️.

I need a new one myself
Thank you🌻 It’s this tea kettle and I love it!! amzn.to/3LVhco1
Katie, how many grams is your bread loaf for your machine?
I used to wonder what I did with my time before I had kids lol
Not trying to hurry up the time by any means. I want to enjoy them wheels I have them home. 😅
I love your videos! What size is your sheet pan for banana pancake? Thank you for share
Thank you Patricia🌻🌻 I had two different sized pans 11.5x17.5in. and 10.5x15.5in. You can make it in the larger pan and pour the leftover in muffin tins if you don’t have the smaller size. I guess I should make the recipe fit one pan. 😅
I use the liquid one, works great on glass baking dishes and glass stovetop
Ohh I will look out for that. Happy to have an easier way to clean the grime😅
💜💜💜💜💜
Just a quick hack: if you render your chicken fat and make smaltz, and then fry your eggs in that smaltz, it will blow your skirt up. YUMMY!!
That sounds amazing!! I’ll have to look up “smaltz”😅
That’s a huge cutting board! Where did you get it?
At Ross!! I lucked out. Love it!
Okay what is that song at the 17 minute mark?!
Great video ❤❤
Hi Kathy!! Thank you. Hope you are well🌻🌻🌻
