This is an amazing video, the scary thing about it is this really happen in real life and has it happened to some people in the town that I live in the homeless man set up shop in their attic. Very good job

I admire the work of all those people who are dedicated to caring for the elderly, although visiting this particular lady's house could cost you your life...
Nice, chilly atmosphere and kudos to Gramma for the performance.
Only problem is why nobody investigated the missing interns.
This is terrific. So many things contribute to the impact of the story, and yet they are all so subtle that you don't notice why your pulse is racing. The acting from all concerned is just brilliant: so natural that it fell like acting at all; then the lighting, sound, the use of props to tell the story with minimal dialogue...

He's basically living off of her - much like a leech. The clue is in his crayon drawing of him inside the old lady's stomach. And the comically small sized pyjamas he's wearing. Someone sure doesnt want to be a grown up anymore.
And everytime someone steps in who could potentially terminate this association, he makes sure they're "terminated" too. Nice one !
I didn’t see a drawing of him inside her stomach, rather a drawing of him drinking her pee as it went into the toilet 🤮

Although the concept of a stranger hiding in the loft and crawl spaces unknowingly has been done before, this had a more disturbing and prescient edge, especially with the state of the country as it is now. Touching not only on care in the community for the elderly with dementia, but also the homeless situation, this well shot,well acted short worked on so many levels.
Oh my goodness. No wonder she didn't know he was there. She can't see!
All this time I thought she could see.
So her kid came back home.
Bye the look of his clothes, he hadn't been home sense he was 8 yrs old.
Or some vagrant moved into the attic and found the clothes.
The picture turned over was his way of saying...."it's not your husband ghost that's here."

He looks like he hasn't had a bath in a long time. Can she not smell him, heightened senses and all that?
It's a common problem for elderly and disabled to have problems taking care of their own hygiene, so no, she probably didn't notice a smell, either.

It's not. I work with people who are vision-impaired.
@@MoodusOperandiand I’ve spoken to people who were partially blind that said their other senses weren’t heightened at all. Guess it depends on the person
The elderly lose their senses as they age...hearing, sight, taste, smell...
Short horror films are better than long ones. I'm loving this Alter channel, each film has a story with a meaning behind it, so it's interesting, not just scary.
So creepy and realistic. Loved it! This could be a series or full movie!
Sad story for this poor lady as she thinks her dead husband is the one making sounds & she seems to know something is off but she can't see it . One sick ass bastard looney killer has been freeloading the whole time but he's not a normal freak he insane . Lets hope in the end he gets caught but the way he is knocking off the real help i think this not end well for her . Think the same folks that send out help would figure out why & where all the help has gone & sure must stink with that many dead bodies about the house . Sad & very creepy . If i saw what the last guy saw i would have called the cops & not gone in her house . When you don't think you die as is the sad case here. Sick but well done by all the actors especially the old lady.

The only problem I see is that a carer who is accustomed to shifting entire people around is almost certainly going to be much stronger than a . . . leech. But truly a terrifying situation. And depressing.
This was an exceptional horror short! Acting, cinematographer (awesome job), just great all around.
What's so scary is that things like this have happened - and are probably happening right now to some poor old people :(

In 3 minutes I was terrified. The remaining 7 minutes was pure terror. So well done.

Is he the son who didn't want to grow up and be a productive adult citizen, so he leeches off his mom, or is he some dirty squatter she doesn't know about and just thinks it's the spirit of her dead husband? I was thinking it's the 2nd one because he never speaks to her and when he bit his nail too loud she looked up?

I thought that the HHA should have called the Police immediately upon seeing a ladder from the attic extended.
If he had,
he'd be alive this very day.
This is true classic horror of murder.

What a horrifying event!
Fantastic job I love the sound effects especially! I have watched this now three times with my headphones on and its fantastic. When sound effects can be that creepy this is a piece of art. It has a real norman bates psycho feeling to it.. But the modern twist is the fear of homeless people become a squatter's in senior citizens homes.... Or millennials that never leave home. Very Hitchcock bloodless horror always gives me a trill. And also the subtle effects of him wearing baby clothes and And those very disturbing drawings, and the upsidown photo.....yikes. I had to go back and watch and see how the nurse got back intoo Mary's house and why I thought maybe he was going to steal from her. But it looked like he found the key under the door mat and thought maybe he left the oven on, so he is being a responsible nurse.... These are truly contemporary horrors that a very good people. The responsible people get killed and the leeches are free to do their destruction.
And we are so blind to crime until it comes to our home. I did have a little feeling of hope for mary that she thinks maybe it's the spirit of her husband living with sir but alas, we know that's going to be a tragic end

I was thinking that the old lady dont sée that Much, maybe she think he is her grandson. While its actualy a complete stranger who lleave in her house, drinking her pee and sleeping in the roof ^^
As she said to her recently deceased caregiver, she thinks her late husband still lives with her in the house. Not sure how any viewer could miss that.

This is creepy and cringey on so many levels! One would think he’d have been caught by now. That’s one too many missing worker’s for my liking. How haven’t police been to check her place out yet? We’re not talking about random single people that freak has now offed🤔

Great short. The little old lady was great. But this saddened me as well. To think this actually happens in real life, is haunting.

These videos are very confusing but I was very curious while watching them
trying to fathom how the title fits in... need to watch again. great atmosphere achieved...
They dont mean leech like the bug but moreso the other definition where you call a person a leech or say they are leeching off you. Basically hes using her for food shelter etc. He has no care in the world since she takes care of it all. Thats why he gets rid of anyone who steps in to help her because if they find him he will be removed. Hes a leech to her/leeching off her. Hope this makes sense.
In the same vein as the frogger type movies.

This is almost the exact same script as the short Maggie by James Kennedy which was also shown on Alter recently except instead of an old man with a female worker its an old woman with a male worker. Both films were made in 2023 but I wonder who was first because the 1 who was second may have a lawsuit on their hands if they're not lucky.

Why did the worker come back in the night? Why didn't he turn the lights on? Was he a thief? Wanted to steal something?
Answers: he went back because he accidentally left the oven on. He tried calling on the telephone and the old lady didn't answer.
I don't get it about the lights either. I wondered if she didn't have electricity because she's blind but he used the vacuum so, 🤔

just walk for a few minutes hundreds of leeches land on you back from the tree 😱😱
