You can cut the two Ballistus. The Lancer makes up for both. Replace them with a Brutalis, no one has a good feeling walking thing a unit in range of this model. Even if your opponent run from the Dreadnought it zones out a lot of space around him.

I haven't played many games with my Iron Hands but the Repulsor Executioner has done work. On two separate occasions it has one-shot a tank with a single round of shooting (and I've played a single-digit number of games). It's nice to have a big tank covered in guns feel like something your opponent has to respect
I've got a Land Raider Proteus stuck at the postal sorting center I'm looking forward to getting some day. I like it better than the one from the early 2000's.
Great video. Just getting into the hobby and starting a Dark Angels army. Was able to preorder the Inner Circle Christmas box to start, and have a Gladiator Lancer and impulsar transport ready to build. Also got some Hellblasters and Infiltrators. On my way to a complete army! Now I’m ordering a Tabletop Stronghold case to house it all! Thanks for the great videos!
i have a meme list that i haven't used yet but own the models that has 2 crusaders and a godhammer land raider and 2 ballistus dreads, crusaders are full of boltstorm aggressors and biologists and the godhammer has 10 sternguard
I definitely feel like with how cost effective it is and it's common usage in even CSM list that the Predator Destructor could've broken to Tier 1. That Damage 3 and AP increase against infantry basically making it so your opponent is forced to play safe or watch their elites get destroyed is good, damage 3 in general is huge and to top it off you have 2 Las Cannons and a HKM for opposing tanks is incredible for 130/145 points. Also why spend points on Elite Infantry when you can just bring a Vehicle/Monster that does more damage, moves faster, holds an objective equally well and it obviously tankier because f#ck you? :)
I ran a fully mechanised SW list yesterday, using each of every currently available rhino chassis with no other vehicles, and won without losing a single unit. These treads can still crush skulls perfectly fine
What makes the Repulsor Executioner so good, despite the fact that I despise the model (it's better than the other Repulsor, but that's about it) is the thing's sheer versatility. You've got heavy anti-tank, a frankly nutty amount of 'defensive' anti-infantry, and light transport all in one package. You'll almost never take the thing and find it was the wrong choice, and if you flex into three of them you can transport a significant number of elite Marines whilst giving them a pretty oppressive amount of fire support. To be frank, I wish the entire Primaris tank line didn't exist, the Firstborn tanks are both better-looking and play better (and quicker!) without the truly stupid number of extra guns the newer tanks have bolted on to every panel. But from a purely tactical point of view they're just too powerful to completely ignore, much as I'd like to.
I really think the Crusader is well worth the value to deliver my Aggressors with the Grav Captain and Biologis. The weapons are exactly what you want for the units and cheap chaff that usually get sent to tie up or screen transports.
Give the Land raider crusader 18-20 Capacity and you'll see it being used. Considering the Repulsor went up to 14 and internally there is less room in a Repulsor compared to a Land raider and the land raider isn't even to scale while the Repulsor is.
I've definitely been considering armor options for my Black Templars list; a BT Impulsor for Sword Brethren, BT Repulsor for a Crusader Squad seem strong. Curious to see how effective a Whirlwind ends up being in practice, artillery seems likeba good concept but not sure if it actually plays well
I still wish they would bring back any of the 3 tank 'HQs' for the full armor list. Though I guess 1-3 Techmarines with a Rhino or two (depending on list) to scoot them around for repairs would be better.
In my view the impulsor should be on this list as well, given its Firing Deck 6 makes it a fast gun boat when paired with hellblasters that is surprisingly tough with a shield dome attached.
Whirlwind paired with some Eliminators, perfect pair for character assassination. Aim to get the precision damage on the character from the Eliminators, then Whirlwind barrage the unit if they live. Grabbed a good number of VP from unexpected character assassination runs.
when the Brutalis Dreadnought was released, the ppl said, of its like the distraction Carnefax. But I think the Ballistus is, the DMG is low but with the lascannons and the range it seems more dangerous. The brutalis is an infantry shredding beast and kills all but the hardest tanks very easy.
Sad thing is i never see a lot of these tanks in game. All i see is primaries, vincator and predator. I hope the others get love one day. dreadnought i see newer models over og ones.

@oldmangames9292 sure the Gladius strat is very strong... but honestly before I take 260 points for 2 Ballistus in that case, take 10 Hellblasters with fire discipline. With the strat you get 20 shots S8, AP-4, ignore cover, Crits on 5+, with lethal and Sustained hits with flat 2 dmg. From the raw numbers this combos is the strongest for space marine. Plus you get shoot on death on a 3+. Even killed a full hp Landraider with 12 DMG overkill lately with that.
