- What a fun episode! Jim surprises Tammy on her 40th birthday, and does a little "This is Your Life" type show! There's so much in this episode. My mom AdaMarie grew up with Tammy Faye. She was flown in to PTL to surprise Tammy Faye. So special!!

I’ve only ever know Tammy Faye as a caricature. I hate the media. I was literally moved to tears by her in this video. Her singing…..wow!

My mom used to baby sit Tammy and Jim’s kids. She said Tammy was literally the nicest woman on the planet, she said Jim wasn’t mean but just completely disconnected. Rest In Peace Tammy

Mrs. Maude Amy Humbbard had a beautiful smooth singing voice. That "Precious Lord" was outstanding!

Same here. I did believe in God at that time but thought of Jim and Tammy as just entertainment. It was so much fun and I loved them. I used to get drunk or high and watch them, lol!~

Sept 25, 2021: Like so many others, I was always drawn to this precious girl! (What a powerful ministry they had at PTL.) Tammy, having you in Heaven gives me comfort and joy.
I hope all her friends stuck by her when she needed them the most.

I Loved Tammy Faye!! She had such a funny, Sweet Spirit about her and I honestly believe she Truly Loved People. I felt so Sorry for her when she had Cancer🥺 I know She is Singing for Jesus🤗❤️

What a sweet lady Tammy was. I think she was just a delight to watch!! She was sincere and kind hearted ❤. When she started to sing or pray she would cry her heart out. Just about everyone loved her.
Rex Humbard that gave Tammy the picture was the the pastor who officiated Elvis' funeral. Elvis was a big fan of Rex Hubbard. Rest in Heaven Tammy Faye.

I'm from Tammy's hometown of International Falls, Minnesota & I can't get over how Minnesotan she sounds!! People here don't sound that way anymore. I love her voice!!!
My grandmother is 85 and from duluth. Has lived in Memphis Tennessee 67 years now. She still sounds exactly like TF. Lol

Watching a documentary on the bakers Is this thing that Jim and Tammy had a lot of marital problems. Growing up as a little kid in the 80's I remember my grandmother watching this show. Year's later I remember in my late teens watching a reality show on VH1 called Surreal Life. Dealing with all the passed Celebrities. They had Vanilla Ice, Sherman Hensley(The Jefferson & Amen)..etc and Tammy Baker was on there. Watching her I got to see that she was a true kind hearted person. People may say was a undercover demon but I never saw that in her

I was only 12 yrs when I would watch the PTL club every morning before catching the school bus. Now I am 56 still i think of that show and Tammy, I loved her.
Jim Bakker is a wet noodle, he was nothing without Tammy Faye. So likable and genuine, and her love for singing shone brightly here.

I was a baby when Tammy and Jim grew to the height of their careers. I don’t remember anything except her fashion and makeup on TV. They are human beings who made mistakes like we all do. God bless the person who forgives instead of finding fault with his brother.

Tammy was a dear she seemed so happy in her second marriage. I don't think she was destined for ptl stardom, I think she just was a great trooper and towed the line , and at one time truly loved Jim bakker but his greed and the lifestyle was too much but her love for God kept her there.

I’m super emotional like Tammy was. If someone makes me a handmade card with a custom message, I start balling. When I have kids, I know I’ll cry over EVERYTHING.
I became a big cry baby after I had my son 12 years ago. It took a few years to go away. Lol Awwww. Yes you probably will cry. It's very emotional. And it's all worth it 🙂
Love these guys. Tammy was so sweet, just had a heart full of love for everyone. I love jim too. He was misguided, but i think his heart is good.
Really? You do know he got out of jail and immediately started scamming people on TV again? He’s wrapping up a lawsuit right now because he tried to sell expensive bottles of colloidal silver to people claiming it cured COVID. He has been “ministering” on tv since he got out creating scheme after scheme. He is a scumbag.
So sad. She didn’t deserve to die so early in her life. She paid for his sins. Tragic.

Someone really did a superb job on this presentation, especially in digging up the CBN footage; because to my knowledge there isn't much surviving footage of when the Bakkers worked for Pat Robertson.

at about 20:00 in this video Maude Aimee and Rex talk to Tammy, they pray, and Maude Aimee sings a song to Tammy. You can really tell Tammy was going through trials and tribulations. You can tell they knew what Tammy was going through, Godly Blessed People. If you listen to Tammy sing in her songs during this program. The message of the song was hitting home.
I grew up watching the PTL club, I miss it, I miss Jim and Tammy being together. Its sad that the devil worked his way in to this Ministry. I hold no bad feelings towards anyone of PTL. They've all asked for forgiveness and left it at the altar. A lot of these people have already went home to be with the Lord. They are whole and in the loving hands of GOD.

I remember watching Jim & Tammy with my Mom when I was a child, my mom used to like to have the Jim & Tammy program Re-runs on in the mornings on, I think it was on Saturday mornings & evenings… I remember clearly her always putting that show on …
It is sad none of her female friends from past and present refused to talk about about Tammy Faye in her movie The Eyes of Tammy Faye. It seems she lost most of her female friends after the scandal broke out. If they were her true friends they would have stuck by the pain and heartache that she was going through out the 1990's.
That’s right! They are friends for a season as my mother used to say. When bad weather comes they are gone. The prodigal son story from the Bible explains those “friends” all to well. It sucks that human nature has not changed for thousands of years.

Probably because it is an sung a lot at Assembly of God churches. Which is the religion that Elvis, Jerry Lee grew up in. Lots of music in these churches.
Interviewed Tammy in 1997 at a Palm Springs radio station I worked at. Found her to be charming....
Makes me sad to watch videos from back then. She had a full face and was very pretty in-spite of wearing too much makeup. Then to see her emaciated from cancer (in her final video) is truly sad!
Cancer is very cruel. It was extremely brave of her to do that Larry King Show knowing how important it was to her to look pretty all the time. I honestly hope she is happy now with God.
