My new wife of a year just told me she has cancer yesterday. My last wife died from breast cancer at 43. I had been praying for her long before this because I knew something was wrong. Tammy’s kids are so intelligent.

So sad that Cancer often returns - I don't know when this Interview was done, but evidently the cancer did come back ~ I liked Tammy Faye, she was an interesting and bright personality - she demonstrated great courage when she allowed herself to be interviewed several years after this when the cancer had really ravaged her body. I know she wasn't perfect, who among us is, but I liked her upbeat and positive attitude, even when her life was clearly coming to a close.

The appliances were top of the line (Wolf or Vulcan) appliances and the kitchen was gutted and completely rebuilt from the ground up, and they had hundreds of motion sensors throughout the house. It had gold plated faucets and several sinks that were as well, some sinks were hand painted porcelain imported from Portugal and Italy, those sinks were extremely expensive, this was a very high-class place and the woodwork was top of the line, not your typical pine or oak. The carpeting and the floors were all top of the line, and it had heated floors installed, which was also a new technology at the time and extremely expensive. The windows were all replaced with Armstrong Windows and they were triple paned and the ones placed toward the Lake had bullet Proof Glass installed, which that was at that time very new and extremely expensive. Jim had motion detectors outside as well as a speaker system installed throughout the house, there were two-way speaker type for talking to the kids and the security officers too. The pool was top of the line and had a bridge over it that led to the underground pool house which also had a dance (Disco) studio installed with rope lights for the kids and everyone to play with as they danced. The Bar and the food area was located within the same area which also served the pool house. This was by far and no means a regular 1970’s house, it was as close to a Hollywood home as you could get not being in Beverly Hills, *_this was Tammy’s dream home and Jim wanted to make sure it was perfect for her._*
I was a PTL partner and loved Tammy Faye and her ministry! She always found the good in people and gave all praise to Jesus! I still listen to and enjoy her music. Miss her laughter. One day we will meet on that beautiful shore! Come Lord, Jesus!

I am always hesitant when a cancer patient comes into remission. They are so happy and grateful that they beat the cancer but cancer usually comes back. I don't know if it's me but the cancer seems to come back even stronger and more aggressive than before. Tammy Faye was always so positive and smiling right down to the end.
I was never a fan of PTL, but I did go to Heritage USA with my parents back in the 80's and went to the Jim and Tammy show. Even though I wasn't a fan of the network itself, I did like Tammy Faye. When I saw her, I thought it was strange that she didn't seem the way she did on TV. I could feel that she wasn't happy...I could see it in her eyes and I didn't feel she was a good enough actor to hide it. The end of PTL came not long after that visit, and now I think I know why she was sad...

Poor Tammy Faye she really was a lovely lady that showed love and compassion for everyone. She also had a sweet and delightful personality. So what if she enjoyed some of the spoils of being part of a large televangelist empire? It was her ex husband who was shady not her! This woman suffered and struggled through an impoverished childhood, public scandal, and a horrible death from terminal cancer.....she didn't deserve any of it! R.I.P Tammy!

Also at the home they had an Atrium within the interior of the house in which they had three doves that flew around openly, and they had two ponds with fish and a little stream and a small bridge going over it, this also where they kept their two Ferretts who were cute but a pain to clean up after!
Tammy had fake food at the dining tables, I say tables because the dining room which was added by the Bakker’s and Tammy, had life-size Mannequins and fake food in front of all the mannequins. The appliances were top of the line (Wolf or Vulcan) appliances and the kitchen was gutted and completely rebuilt from the ground up, and they had hundreds of motion sensors throughout the house. It had gold plated faucets and several sinks that were as well, some sinks were hand painted porcelain imported from Portugal and Italy, those sinks were extremely expensive, this was a very high-class place and the woodwork was top of the line, not your typical pine or oak. The carpeting and the floors were all top of the line, and it had heated floors installed, which was also a new technology at the time and extremely expensive.
The windows were all replaced with Armstrong Windows and they were triple paned and the ones placed toward the Lake had bullet Proof Glass installed, which that was at that time very new and extremely expensive. Jim had motion detectors outside as well as a speaker system installed throughout the house, there were two-way speaker type for talking to the kids and the security officers too.
The
pool was top of the line and had a bridge over it that led to the underground pool house which also had a dance (Disco) studio
installed with rope lights for the kids and everyone to play with as they
danced. The Bar and the food area was located within the same area which also served the pool house.
This was by far and no means a regular 1970’s house, it was as close to a Hollywood home as you could get not being in Beverly Hills, *_this was Tammy’s dream home and Jim wanted to make sure it was perfect for her._*

I was a PTL partner and loved Tammy Faye and her ministry! She always found the good in people and gave all praise to Jesus! I still listen to and enjoy her music. Miss her laughter. One day we will meet on that beautiful shore! Come Lord, Jesus!

I am always hesitant when a cancer patient comes into remission. They are so happy and grateful that they beat the cancer but cancer usually comes back. I don't know if it's me but the cancer seems to come back even stronger and more aggressive than before. Tammy Faye was always so positive and smiling right down to the end.

I was never a fan of PTL, but I did go to Heritage USA with my parents back in the 80's and went to the Jim and Tammy show. Even though I wasn't a fan of the network itself, I did like Tammy Faye. When I saw her, I thought it was strange that she didn't seem the way she did on TV. I could feel that she wasn't happy...I could see it in her eyes and I didn't feel she was a good enough actor to hide it. The end of PTL came not long after that visit, and now I think I know why she was sad...
