I was about to pick up the 140 next week. But after seeing your video on the 140 MP and your comment and advice, this is the one I've decided to get. Thanks man, it was a great help! Incidentally, although I periodically get triggered, it's certainly not like the imbecile in a previous comment. I love your retort. Though, no medication necessary here, just whiskey. Thanks for sharing!
Nice video. I been looking to get one of these to teach basic welding courses for mobile classes. I have the 180 unit but like you said good for small jobs. HogOn
@@koonelos I had the same question...asked support from Lincoln and they said they are the exact same. The LE31 is big box stores (Lowe's Home Depot etc)...the 140mp is for places that are like authorized welding dealer shops.
I have a Lincoln Weldpak 140 that has to be close to 10 years old now. It's been good but it's limiting in that the voltage selection is limited to 4 positions (taps) only, can only run MIG and flux core and is heavy. Is the voltage knob on this machine variable or is it a tap selection like I have? At the very least there are far more selections than I have but I'm guessing the knob can be put half way between positions since this is an inverter welder?
Check out the specifications tab that should have your answer. I believe its tap selection still but we can confirm with Lincoln if you want to call us or let us know the best way to contact you. bakersgas.com/products/lincolnpowermig140mpmulti-processwelder-k4498-1
Can find at your local Home Depot this is perfect I use one for making grills at home and other home project it works guys i Just the mig gun on it but it works folks done worry if people say other wise
I was interested in how well it TIG welds but you never covered that at all. How can you call this a "review" if you don't cover a fundamental function ?
The Millermatic multi-process welders run $2K. You're comparing a MIG only machine (Miller) with a Lincoln multi-process machine. Try to TIG or stick with the 211
Don't talk about Harbor Freight if you don't mention that we wouldn't be having this conversation people don't need to be wasting their money on that trash you are trying to sell I build handrails in multiple apartment complexes Harbor Freight machine the selling point was this 34 lb with 10 lb of wire in the machine it has fallen down multiple sets of stairs it has good art characteristics with Lincoln 211 wire don't misunderstand I am a leaking fan so what you're not going to do is sell me a cheap Chinese machine for good American money guess what you're not going to do
I’m sold, thank you sir and gents for this valuable information
You just made my choice.here in Canada it's on sale for 1099.00.ill be picking it up Monday.
How is it?
Wish we could have seen the bead you ran. That’s really my selling point but I appreciate the video man.
What’s the difference between this and the LE31MP?
I'm guessing that that big spool of flux core does come with it. What is the name of the spool so I know what to buy?
What size spool is that I’m looking to run a bigger spool I’m running 035 mig wire right now
Where is this unit made at?
Thanks for the video. Needed a hobby so I bought this model a couple of days ago. Need to watch some how to videos.
Awesome enjoy!
@@BakersGas do I need gas to mig weld with it
@@lilblickyboyz5364 flux core wire doesn't need gas.

I just purchased the same one but mig/flux core. Can I possibly use Tig on mine?
If it is 140 multi process, just need the tig kit.
Wonder what the difference between the 140mp and the le31mp is that you get at Home Depot???
I have this question too, in case somebody knows
I'm confident to say that the duty cycle for the LE31MP is 60% where as the 140mp is at 40%. That's the ONLY difference that I can think of.

@@don_x_bro Specs show 60% for both, www.lincolnelectric.com/assets/global/Products/K4498-1/e730.pdf

Will this weld aluminum wheels?
Yes you can but only with a spool gun I don't believe you can tig aluminum with this unit. Steel and stainless
Price is almost double now
You can thank President Xi and President Xiden.
no tig demo?? :(
Maybe next time! :) Thanks for watching!
@@BakersGas can I use this machine without gas
Has good penetration? Because if is 110
Does this come with the U drive roll in case you want to buy the aluminum gun? Or does it only have the 1 drive roll? Thanks for the video
You do need to add that separately

Great starter
Today 12/4/2021 that unit is $899+tax.
Id get a millermatic 211 over this for an extra 400$ and weld up to 3/8 . Spool gun 300$ , stainless mig , and fcaw / mcaw . Cant go wrong .
Sure both are good machines one difference is the 211 is a MIG only unit.
Yeah, only thing wrong with that is it isn’t a Lincoln

Please stop slamming your hands down on the machine.
