Magic and 40K is a deadly mix of nerd addictions!
Deadly to my addictions, I’ve haven’t touched MTG since this line was announced. If I wanted to play in these universes they’ve all had card games fail already I could pick those up cheaper than new mtg.
Pretty sure having both might send you straight into abject poverty.

@@PeteTheWargamer Warhammer ones initially but other MTG sets could be interesting maybe allowing you to explore some alternative model ranges. I've seen very little in our space about the Dungeons and Dragons models so maybe something exploring converting those?

Lovely to see you do this Pete. I had the fortune to paint a bunch of the cards in the Necron Command deck (Mind Stone, Commander's Sphere, Flayed Ones, and Overlord), as well as an artifact for the Ruinous Powers deck (Worn Powerstone) but it's always a pleasure seeing you do your magic! (if anyone wonders, Studio Colrouphobia is our studio and you will find everything of mine there, including on UA-cam 🙂 )

By far my favorite of all the necron models, and you did such an amazing job with this one!
It might be a bit much, but it'd be cool as hell to see you tackle artwork from other MtG sets. Anything Phyrexian could be doable with 40k kits, and I'd honestly love to see an Elesh Norn conversion.

I'd love to see conversions of non-40k card artworks! The 40k card artworks are probably mainly reposes of kits you can just buy, which does not sound like too much fun to watch. Or in general: only reposing is not as fun to watch, the steps are always the same. Cut here, pin there, fill gap with green stuff and so on. Creating a style or look and feel from different bits, giving a model character, that's fun to watch for me. Seeing how bits can be used in a way they were not intended to be used.

This was really cool! Just got around to watching. I have a suggestion that's a little self-indulgent: I'd love to see you tackle a miniature of Myrkul, Lord of Bones from the D&D Baldur's Gate crossover.
I remember using that kit to kitbash my Tech-prest turned Inquisitor.
It was unsurprisingly hard. Wished I had the means/skill/stuff to replace the "floor guy" when I could.

Great recreation! I respect the patience working with that filament wire and UV resin haha, only suggestion I have is clip off the "energy beam" coming out the end of Szeras staff that is pointing into to the floor, as it would usually be shooting into the Imperial.
Yeh I was bit unsure with that, I' wasn't sure it if was a "needle" and a permanent part of the staff or just energy being emitted. I decided on the former ultimately.
I gave up on 40k a while back now, but these videos are really getting me back into it. That said, I've got a suggestion and a bit of a story to tell. My first and, so far, only kitbash model was a Chaos Sorcerer for my Black Legion forces. Specifically, I tried to recreate Iskandar Khayon from ADB's Black Legion novels. If possible, I'd love to see your take on the man who (allegedly) forced Magnus to kneel down to our armless warmaster.

man i remember owning a big deck of mtg cards i used to play it with my brother when i was young
I love this piece. The only criticism I have is that I feel the eldar body is a bit too far along the side of the necron model. I think it would've made more sense to have the eldar a bit more in front of him. Not only so that the necrons head would make more sense to be in the position it is in, but also because of the more simple reason that you would certainly finish off your foe by facing them, not by having them at your 9 o'clock position. More like a 10 or 11 o'clock position probably would have looked more realistic. Otherwise though, it looks fantastic.

I love it!!! You might have said it or have it listed but what kind of line is that? You said filament……. but that doesn’t look like printing filament!?! Kinda looks like fishing line!?! Is that what it is? Either way I think it looks great and the only thing I could say you could do to make it look a little better (at least to me) is to make some spots of the energy a little lighter green. Kinda like in the picture. Either way, that’s another thing I am going to try when I can!!!
I've always made strings or resin on waxpaper for resin working. Never thought to use monofilament.
It would be nice to see the other side of this crossover. Dreadhorde figures for example would look cool.

Just out of curiousity. Will there be any more kitbashing vids for the rest of the specialists for your Raptors kill team? Or are you done with them now?
At the moment, I'm not sure. With the changes to Kill Team making the selections I'd made unviable I ended up moving away from them. Hopefully, some rules changes will prompt me to redo the series in the future.
@@PeteTheWargamer That's a shame as I was loving your tacticool yet practicool approach to Space Marine and I love the no-nonsense style of the Raptors. But its also very understandable since GW can't help but "fix" (but in reality break) all their games.
Did Szerasused to be a Skorpekh or a destroyer of some kind? is that why he has the three legs and the Destroyer back, or was he like put back together with the help of one of the crypteks or something, I only have the 8th Edition codex and I don't think there's any lore about the Illuminator in there
A card i would love to see turned into a mniature is psychosis crawler i know its not a warhammer card but i think itd provide a nice challenge to create
I Had a similar Idea, years ago but didn't Had any time to realize my Project. There was a skeleton Artwork that i liked, i think it was a Green/black Card. And i thought it would be a great Idea to make a skeleton Mini Like this Artwork with plants growing on it, because its so old.
