That would be cool I'd imagine it'd have something a bit more functional and less ornate for a shield like the breacher shields from heresy. maybe use the sword lieutenant from dark imperium as a base model as it's less ornate than actual bladeguard so would fit the theme of the kill team better

Even as a religious person the idea of marines needing to bring along a counsellor for moral support never quite sat right with me, until I found your channel, discovered how fun kit-bashing was and tried to re-approach my neglected indomitus chaplain with new eyes and make something I was genuinely proud of. Nowadays, Gary marches into battle alongside my marine lads, holding a clunky, 41st-millennium iPod shuffle aloft in his hand. He is in charge of the tunes playing through the marines helmet in battle- because a good song makes everything more fun. In moments of particular import, he strategically blasts the most motivational anthems he has on hand, urging even the stubborn Astartes to be just a little more killy- Gary has learnt the power of the ancient tracks of the ‘Doom soundtrack’ in particular. Cheers for teaching me the ropes and joys of converting with these videos you make- I would have never made Gary without them, and seeing him hold his music player aloft never ceases to give me a silly grin knowing that I genuinely turned my chaplain into the chapter’s beloved battle-DJ. I went from being mortified at the idea of trying to cut apart and reassemble the minis I’d just bought, and petrified by my lack of experience, to having the time of my life and crafting the silly little story of Gary, the brother in charge of the music. So thank you- it really means a lot :)

Nice of them to cut a hole in his cape for the power pack to fit through! Jokes aside, this series has been great and these Raptors are probably some of the coolest looking space marines I've seen. Very inspirational.
Absolutely loving this series, I never thought watching someone make custom marines would be so entertaining. I would have liked to see a bit lighter shade on the chaplains death mask but overall really awesome job, especially with the small bit of green stuff
A practical behind-enemy-lines chaplain -- Amazing!!! personally I would have liked a staff just to accentuate it being a chaplain, but that's just me :)
Been watching your channel for a while now, and while I'm not nearly skilled enough to pull off some of your advanced techniques, I've made use of lots of the little tricks you've taught me. Recently, I've put together a Deathwatch kill team with lots of extra embellishments, the most notable member of which is an ancient Firstborn marine secretly drawn from the pre-heresy Night Lords.
Amazing conversion, really makes me want to start my own kill team, but I feel a crozius arcanum or maybe decorating the hammer head with an Aquila would help define him as a chaplain. I get the leadership vibe from him (and his dramatic cape) but the only things that make me go “that’s a chaplain” are his book, reliquary, and his skull helmet but with his helmet being black instead of the usual bone white it doesn’t give me the usual religious leader vibe. Aside from that love your kill team
I've been watching your kill team conversion series with no small amount of awe. If you want another project idea, I have one I'd love to do but utterly lack the funds and skill. Since the moment I saw Kill Team as a thing, I've wanted to see someone do a properly converted gang of space pirates, probably based on IG or traitor guard. The conversion possibilities are literally limitless, and getting that right balance of "looks like a group" and "ramshackle appearance" would be amazing. Keep up the amazing work!
I don't know if there is a place for one in your Kill Team. But I'm curious what a no nonsense tactical Raptors take on a Bladeguard Veteran would look like. I imagine one of the less ornate Black Templars initiate's from the Combat Patrol box would make a good starting point.
The use of the Reiver helmet is cool but I imagine the proper chaplain helmet would look better. The hood would match the cloak, and it would take significantly less work
Love the conversion, and all your work really. I really hate how Marines hold their hammers though. I know we're not genetically engineered super-humans, but has anyone ever considered how difficult and unwieldy it is to hold a hammer upright by the very bottom like that, except when actually hammering something? It's one little bit of "realism" that would have made this guy especially awesome, and I'd love to see how you would tackle doing that.
I'm really liking what your doing with this kill team and the models, now all that's left is for games workshop to notice you and start producing the models and give us lore to them. Ahah

Would love to see your take on arm and or leg bionics for Phobos armor. I’m looking to add some Infiltrators to for Iron Hands successors and the bits I’ve been using so far seem a bit bulky
Pete, using the same bolter the rest of the team uses is smart and very much on the same venue of usability. Technically the bigger gun means bigger cartridges/bolts. It means that the chaplain would have to haul his own ammo. When a team uses the same caliber they can interchange ammunition on the fly. No need to check the calibers in the heat of the moment. Also makes battlefield pick-ups easier. This has been used in real world too with the SCAR rifle already chambered in the Russian calibers for the teams that go into the bush for extended times. Similarly the teams use 9mm as it is the easiest available round in the world... So highly customised loadouts for Raptors make real sense.
