  • Quick tutorial on how to create a simple paradrop in Eden editor for a mission. UA-cam decided to delete all of the comments for some reason. So just accept dealing with Google-s cock. I have barely any control over my own stuff.

    I couldn't find a script to make full squads spawn inside of a vehicle and no one online seemed to know how to do this. I couldn't use "A moveincargo Plane" for each unit because it's tedious enough to do this for one squad, let alone multiple squads. I cannot believe it's as simple as dragging and dropping into the vehicle. In less then a minute and a half, you've solved one of my largest frustration. Good work on the video as a whole too.

      You can also do this if you want to do it via scripting: {_x moveincargo vehicle} for units group this; Place that in the init of the group commander, or if you name the group you can use that line in a script.

    Meh i hoped it was in vanilla, anyways thumbs up for showing me something new.
    You might add something like "RHS module" into the video name.

      In the Eden Editor it is Module not Mod, Hes referring to the script included with the RHS c-130 for Paradropping

    When I go up and get in the air the pilot just keeps flying in circles and ignores waypoints and it’s starting to piss me off please help

    I find that planes reach the “land” waypoint, then go into approach mode, circle into alignment, then lands.

    is there any way that you can delay the takeoff so you have enough time for briefing or anything that you might need to do?

    So I use rhs for my paradrop but my plane never go to the waypoint. Instead it lands at another airfield or just flees from enemy and guns. I put it on careless but it still runs. Please help. I'll even show what mods I use please help.

    No offense but it really sucks that there's no indication that this requires RHS in the title or description, you really ought to do something about that. I've been looking for a *vanilla* tutorial on paradropping infantry for ages, and every one on UA-cam just uses RHS.

      What's worse is there are so many different RHS mods. They don't even specify which one allows the paradropping.

      I think the issue is it's difficult to figure out which RHS mod adds the waypoint to the game.

      hummelman Get them all is your answer? Would it not be better to not respond, than to give such a dumb answer. If I wanted to get them all, sure I would. And I'm sure somewhere in that mix I might MIGHT find the paradrop waypoint in my menu. But I don't want them all it's a waste of space and it gives me more than I want. At this point it would be easier to manually put the paradrop parameters in the init section. thanks for the useless response though.

    The altitude control wasn't working for me, however I found a solution. Instead of (this FlyInHeight 500;), I had to give the C130 a variable name, so I named it transport_1. Then used the script (transport_1 FlyInHeight 500;) and this fixed the issue.

    what about making the troops do something after they have jumped out?

      Set up your aircraft and its waypoints first, before loading the infantry. Place the infantry unit(s) down in the editor, give them waypoints at the drop zone (where you designated the RHS paradrop waypoint). Example a couple of move waypoints ending in a SAD or destroy etc... at an objective. Finally move the unit(s) into the aircraft. Run the mission, when the unit(s) hit the ground, they will go on their waypoints - done!

      Don't forget to sync the first mission waypoint with the drop waypoint, so if the plane drops the dudes, the mission WPs are starting, not before. ;-)
      In some weird scenarios the plane may would fly back to an airport tho to let the troops "get out" instead of flying to its waypoint ... at least choppers sometimes land somewhere totally wrong. If the WP is synced tho ... no problemo!

      It's with the RHS USAF, though RHS AFRF should be used with it.

      place a "Game Master" module from the modules tab under "Zeus", write "player" in the owner column and press Z when you're in-game

      better use #AdminLogged or actual variable names tho if you want to make a multiplayer mission instead of "player". :)

      In a mission I figured this out for I used the same plane to reinsert people who died during the mission and wanted to keep the continuity. Sure landing isn't a good solution overall as I mention in the video but just showing how I did it in case anyone is interested. By pure luck plane managed to land in 1 go at that time.
