Impulse buy about 10 years ago, shot it many times maybe 500 rds now just keeps getting better, Mine all stainless. It was so beautiful & had EVERYTHING. Wish I was as good as it is. :)
I just picked one of these after years of wanting it. I need to get to the range. I'm sure I will love it more than my Taurus 1911...and that is my favorite so far. I'm sure this will be my new favorite
Love mine. It's nearly perfect out of the box for USPSA Single Stack. I do wish that Springfield would ship it with a fiber optic front site though. Its reliable and accurate, mine has only had one malfunction in just over 11,000 rounds. If you are looking for a USPSA or IDPA 1911 in 45 ACP this is a great choice.
I just put down on a used trophy match by springfield, its the bi tone black slide on stainless frame and was for $525, didnt include mags or box and had some use to it but nothing too bad and i still felt that was a good buy as i know they arent easy to come by. When i get it i can try and post pics if its possible. I havent been able to find another model like this one in the bi tone though.
Friend has owned one since 94 or 95 hard to remember now. It is the most accurate pistol I have ever shot. Even at 70 yards with the drop of a .45 and 65 year old eyes. 6" groups are manageable all day long. I am sure there are way more accurate pistols. Just not that I have fired. The newer ones have some added features from those originals. This pistol is 25 years old and going strong. I have fired a Ruger .22 target pistol that gave this gun a run for the money though. Still it did not beat it. That is saying a whole lot when the Rugers barrel is fixed and not moving or cycling.
hello just got one in stainless from brother in law that passed away, sister asked me to try to sell it along with 4 other pistols, it appears in very good condition with 2 mags, what is a fair starting price in your opinion? Thank you

$1,400
Is the pistol in this video a 6" barrel?
5 inch
Close to 500 shots and no problems so far.
I want this
I have a chance to buy one any day that I so desire, either unfired or close to it. Box, 2 mags mint condition for $1200.00. Maybe I better get it.
What makes a 1911 "competition" or not?
