I pointed this out on another video but I work for a major music festival in Britian. As sson as I saw their map I laughed out loud as it's impossible. We sell around 90,000 tickets for punters which is massive (you can Google aerial shots of Glastonbury Fesitval to see). On top of that 90,000 we have over 26,000 staff. Also you'll note the phot shows things like toilets galore, water, traders, banks, camping and so on. Basically you would need to divide that island in slightly more than half with the larger part being all this infrastructure. They havne't got the first clue, especially as there's nowhere to get there. No landing strip, and no real port (that bay is not a port that could weather a storm).

As someone who who has studied economics this is absolutely worthless after a finite amount of time nothing will have value those 10k NFTs and those houses once people buy them and no body outside this little community wants them they money dries up and there you go it all falls apart
My prediction is if somehow this shit gets built, Fiji will find a way to repossess the island after all the infrastructure that has been built.

8:35 the argument about "just buying your items and being able to physically own them" so you can take them to other games is such bullshit. That's like trying to make the argument of buying a phyical copy of a game and trying to sell it to gamestop 10 years later for 2 dollars. The value of that shit wont hold up. Unless multiple game studios all make a promise to keep the same game graphics for their assets in games.
There are so many different problems with that concept. Incompatible engines, different graphical styles, each company pretty much needing to make their own version of the asset in their game that they make no profit off of, all the legal hoops that would need to be jumped through to get every single company into legal agreement for it all to work, etc. It's basically a near impossibility. It can't and won't happen on any large enough scale for it to be worth it. The best will be some smaller devs teaming up sometimes or in company stuff like Ubisoft's Quartz nonsense which crashed and burned immediately

The totality of the polygonal mesh that makes up a 3D asset; whether that be .raw, .blend, .dae, .obj whatever format you use that data is not stored on the Blockchain.
The NFT is what it says it is: a TOKEN, a receipt, a bill of sale of an item - NOT the composition of that item.
There is a requirement require additional 3rd party services to interpret that NFT into anything useful - meaning dev time - and I'm sorry for the vast majority of cases that will be NOT be profitable to sustain long-term.
@@EEEE2382 We live in a world where AAA tittles launch failing to include features they did over a decade ago. Companies aren't going to be able to properly keep up with large number of NFT-related assets. You can have proof of purchase all you like, but if nothing relevant supports it, its as dead as any other microtransaction in an old game.
If, by some means, this NFT DisneyLand is built, it is for sure going to end up abandoned and used as a content farm for UA-camrs that go out and explore decommissioned places
I am a simple woman, I want to play a game because of the value it already has as digital entertainment product. I am not looking into it as a money making scheme or owning an item with imaginary value to it and daydreaming to be the next big millionaire on a luxury villa because I own an ugly helmet with a randomized code. NFT 'games' take away all the values of the gaming aspect and replace them with this crypto scam, a sandbox for morons trying to scam other morons and also damaging global hardware economy and climate in the process. - if any of you NFT fans were curious and cannot understand, there is my personal reason. Go resell rocks on a chain on the streets with imaginary value to them and leave my video games alone.

Looking into these scams and forming opinions is the same as me looking at other scam game projects on steam and saying games are scams. DYOR and form opinion, there are so many great features and opportunities that you are following on the sidelines.

What happens if you mint an ultra rare Runescape 3 item as a NFT and carry that NFT to New World? Is Amazon going to purposely have a RS3 item asset in the game data AND the coding to reflect the stats and mechanics of said helmet and if not, wouldn't you hate it if your RS3 NFT is 'improperly' reflected in New World?
Is EA going to put visual assets for every single Ape, Punk or Kitty ever created in every new COD game after 2022?
Is Sony going to put coding for a rainbow colored Advanced Warfare M14 into Planetside 3 just so that your AW NFT can be 'carried over'?
Your NFT does not store anything related to the visual image, stats and mechanics of the item it was attached to when you minted it. It just tells a game client or server that you have such and such an item. Most big devs nowadays are more interested in selling their own new NFTs instead of accomodating your existing NFTs in their game, and the vast majority of people spending money on NFTs would much prefer buying a new NFT from a big publisher than minting the 1st Thunderfury ever dropped in WoW as a NFT.
