Heh, this is from 2006. I think 2006 is when I first saw this show on G4. First anime dvd I ever bought. 300+ shows comprising over 6000 episodes later, I think I can safely say that this is one of the most underrated shows ever. Never seen anything like it since. Interesting story, great characters, phenomenal action, fantastic soundtrack, and, oh, also one of the best dubs ever. R.O.D exudes cool from every pore.
Bought $100 of anime from some guy off Craigslist and the DVDs for this anime came with them. I didn't expect R.O.D. to be one of my favorite animes ever haha the intro is so addicting.

9 seconds in, Maggie is a race car driver (check out the carb stacks behind her, she's gotta be pushin' 500hp!). Of course, my fave girl in the whole show is just so athletic, she can do just about anything. Yet so soft-spoken. Anyway, the bass riffs kick ass.
Would you happen to know the artist? I've been dying to know who made this song and get my hands on the OST ever since I watched this on Anime Unleashed about 4 years ago. The bass is so freakin' awesome.
Groovy little tune. I usually skip anime-openings seeing as most of them are interchangable J-pop but I never skipped this one while I was watching the series.
I absolutely loved this anime till they brought Yomiko in replacing the center of the story from the 3 sisters to her... Outside of the OVA, she's hard to deal with... Both the manga and this drove me crazy with Yomiko... Her extreme indecisiveness... ugh...
@Ricochet Babalon Actually you have it backwards. The 3 sisters and nenene came in and replaced yomiko. I know its awkward. But the ova happens first in line.
While she does reappear in the tv series I don't feel she takes precedence over the paper sisters at all (they're my favorite characters). This show is pretty good about sharing screen time imo. Agree on Yomiko's indecisiveness in the tv series though, her character definitely suffered after the OVA imo. I haven't read any of the light novels so she may be better in those.
She's the exact same size... the only diff is that the half naked one has make-up on. Also in the other R.O.D. its that other character. The main of the actually ROD books not the paper sisters... you know the real paper master. yeah its her.
Definitely one of the best anime i've seen as a kid. The actions scenes blew my mind so much back then. And THIS opening!!!! Total gold!!!

R.O.D the TV is an anime from 2003.
It’s hard to find an anime theme that was energising and cool as this. This was my ringtone for years.

One of my fave series. Maggie Mui was my favorite character, followed by Nenene Sumerigawa and Nancy Makuhari.
Fun fact: Maggie, Mui, Michelle names are based on The Heroic Trio (1993) film starred Michelle Yeoh, Anita Mui, and Maggie Cheung.
Maggie Mui’s my fave. She’s so pretty yet the modest of the three.

この後、立命大の⑧島が獲って（ゴール成功）、また逆転。（38－35）

点の取り合いのゲームとなったが、お互いの強み（摂南大はスクラム、立命大はラインアウトモール）は発揮できた。最終節はどのような戦い方をするのか、両校に注目したい。
