When your character died, I was so upset because Randy was always my favorite and I think you're awesome. Originally, I thought your character would never be brought up again after Scream 2. I'm glad that isn't the case.
The Randy shrine scene was one of my favorites, and made me emotional even. I really did feel ultra good vibes during that scene. The Randy presence was felt!

Randy’s presence was definitely felt in the film through his niece and nephew. Scream 5 was awesome and part 4 is underrated, even though my only gripe with 4 was the brightness filter it’s still pretty enjoyable imo. Also I really hope Kirby comes back in a future installment.
That filter was weird. Apparently it was wes craven way of commenting on how reboots of franchises always have this weird filter on them. To update them with a new look. But I agree it made it almost like a dream filter lol. Great freaking movie though.

Then you were brought up by him and the first thing you said was "Who's the guy with the addiction?!". I slowly raised my hand,and you said "You're a fucking rock star, that's amazing I'm so proud of you!" And brother let me tell you, that MADE MY LIFE!! After the set you were eating at a Ramen place down Sunset RIGHT where I lived and you saw me walking by and you took your attention off the girl you were with to wave at me thru the glass. Saw all the scream movies for the first time last summer and fell in LOVE with them! I hated how I'm 25 and never saw it. I seen scary movie a million times, but never saw the original scream 1 and 2. After watching it in the summer I said I have to watch it. I ended up watching all 4. I knew the new directors were fans before anything when I seen all the mods they made to the original. With you as Randy, Skeet as Billy, && then including a character with the name Wes && how they played that so well to honor Wes Craven. They gave Sidney && Gale great dialogue && amazing one liners. && Dewy was sent out like a hero. The whole movie was such a perfect nod to how much they loved Scream.

I still love Scream 2 the most in the franchise. The suspense abd the chase scenes are just amazing especially the gale chase scene I dont think any of the sequels have created a suspense chase scene that good since. The environment settings throughout the movie are alot of fun from the opening theatre scene.. car crash scene.. Randy's unfortunate death in Broad daylight in a public field setting of all places.. Sid being stalked whilst she's performing in a play.. Gale being chased in a sound proof studio room.. epic stuff so much fun. It sucks Randy dies I know but I'm glad jamie got alot more lines and scenes in scream 2

I was super freaking excited when I found out the Meeks were coming back. Seeing Randy’s pics brought me back to the original. It’s my childhood what literally bonded my little brother and I. I would sneak him in with me to the movies. We were kids we couldn’t come in and one time I convinced my grandma to please take me to go see Scream again and she did. Scream 2 is when I snuck in my little brother. I was just a a little 10 year old kid and when Randy was killed I was so devastated I could not believe it and In Scream 3 my mom took us to go see it. Love SCREAM!!!!
It would've been an interesting little what-if scenario if Randy survived and became the new lead, and instead of the Scream 3 we GOT (let's be honest, it's the weakest one), we got a Randy-led investigatory Scream 3 where this time Randy teams up with Dewey to figure things out. You all know you would love a Randy-led Scream movie.
All jokes aside, the painting did help. For me, It's one of the most pivotal scenes of the film, and not just because of the exposition presented. This was the make or break moment of the film, making us connect to these characters and actually care for them moving forward. Without your presence in the room during it, I do not believe I would have cared for those characters the same way.
I always love Randy's death because if he lived past his prime I think he would not be as remember and loved. I was bummed when he died, but at the same time I'm like he was the best character, and the impact of him dying made scream 2 the best of the franchise!

Love you Jamie! They did a great job of honoring your character (and you) in Scream. However, I still think your character Randy was killed off too soon.
I still love Scream 2 the most in the franchise. The suspense abd the chase scenes are just amazing especially the gale chase scene I dont think any of the sequels have created a suspense chase scene that good since. The environment settings throughout the movie are alot of fun from the opening theatre scene.. car crash scene.. Randy's unfortunate death in Broad daylight in a public field setting of all places.. Sid being stalked whilst she's performing in a play.. Gale being chased in a sound proof studio room.. epic stuff so much fun. It sucks Randy dies I know but I'm glad jamie got alot more lines and scenes in scream 2

I was hoping for an end credit scene. At the coma ward of a hospital, the EEG suddenly goes crazy, a figure pops up in bed, it's the long presumed dead Randy, he exclaims, "I know who the killer is!" Fade out.
Jamie listen brother....we're the same era....Gen X!... our era was the 90s and we've got the same mentality...I'm touching 50 almost so I understand you....I can tell that you reminisce a lot about the past when we were all young back then, I do too, hell we all do so never feel like you're alone....the world has changed and sometimes it can feel alien at times, almost like it's leaving us behind and in a way it is but you can still have a purpose...you need to spend time with people our generation bro....reconnect with them. And don't forget you're never alone!

I was super freaking excited when I found out the Meeks were coming back. Seeing Randy’s pics brought me back to the original. It’s my childhood what literally bonded my little brother and I. I would sneak him in with me to the movies. We were kids we couldn’t come in and one time I convinced my grandma to please take me to go see Scream again and she did. Scream 2 is when I snuck in my little brother. I was just a a little 10 year old kid and when Randy was killed I was so devastated I could not believe it and In Scream 3 my mom took us to go see it. Love SCREAM!!!!
It would've been an interesting little what-if scenario if Randy survived and became the new lead, and instead of the Scream 3 we GOT (let's be honest, it's the weakest one), we got a Randy-led investigatory Scream 3 where this time Randy teams up with Dewey to figure things out. You all know you would love a Randy-led Scream movie.
All jokes aside, the painting did help. For me, It's one of the most pivotal scenes of the film, and not just because of the exposition presented. This was the make or break moment of the film, making us connect to these characters and actually care for them moving forward. Without your presence in the room during it, I do not believe I would have cared for those characters the same way.
I always love Randy's death because if he lived past his prime I think he would not be as remember and loved. I was bummed when he died, but at the same time I'm like he was the best character, and the impact of him dying made scream 2 the best of the franchise!
I loved seeing the Randy Memorial Home Theatre. That was awesome for sure. Please keep your head up man and here's to the success you have achieved and many more awesome moments and stories! -Greg
