Matthew’s passion for Stu not being dead is the funniest thing ever. And his image of billy and Stu falling in love and raising stray dogs is so random but fits so well at the same time
Not as random considering some scenes between them had a bit of a homoerotic vibe
@@livvyyyyyyyyyyy That subtext was written by Kevin Williamson himself.
"My mom and dad are gonna be so mad at me" *Sobs*
My favourite quote from the film.
I like I'm feeling Woozy here
Mine is “YOU FUCKIN HIT ME WITH THE PHONE DICK!!” 😂😂🤣
Stu: No I didn’t kill anybody
Billy: Ain’t nobody said you did
Stu: Thanks buddy
@@jordantalksfilm4038 that's actually a good one. Because when shooting he wasn't supposed to get hit with the phone it was an accident and they left it in
@@AMurr45 yep😂😂😂🤣 me and my older brother always laugh at that scene ever since I was a really little kid🤣
I freaking love how adamant Matthew is about Stu being alive. You can tell he really wants to play that character again.
I think he’s making a return very soon
“I will throw a tv on my face right now to prove it” 😂😂
He might be hinting about his return in Scream 5. I doubt it, but that would be undeniably rad.
The trailer just came out and ghostface says "it's a pleasure to meet you Sidney" in the trailer. So they could either be trying to throw us off the Stu trail, or it's just a new killer we've never met before. Which wouldn't be so rad. I'd love a returning character to show up as a killer.
True but I rather Stu stay dead I don't like the concept if he's alive.
@@mr.checkyourself4672 he is canonically alive, was originally supposed to return in Scream 3.
Wait, so was, "you hit me with the phone dick" improvised after Billy accidentally hits Stu with the phone? That line was gold and even more impressive if it was improvisation.
It was improvised! I believe skeet’s Hand was too slippery from the fake blood it slipped out of his had and hit Matthew on accident 😂
Yep
Yes
"accidentally" lmao
Yes. Skeet's hands were slippery because of the corn syrup and the phone just slipped and hit Matthew and it just completely fit in and was so funny that they kept it.
Matthew is so great in Scream. Stu was a highlight of that movie - "You hit me with the phone dick" and "My mum and dad are gonna be so mad at me". Or "I'm feeling a little woozy here". - Stu had all the best lines tbh and Matthew played him like no one else could
"And lets face it Sidney, your mother was no Sharon Stone."
I think his has been the most quoted throughout the years...but Gale had some good one liners in the 1st one as well lol
And by the sounds of it, they were ad-libbed! Go on Lillard!
I could not imagin someone eals playing Stu than Matthew.
"liver alone!" 🤣🤣
Spoiler Alert:
Absolutely love how Skeet kept a straight face when the girl asked how they feel about not being in scream 5. Great work to keep the secret
I had convinced myself Stu/Matt was going to be in it, but boy was I swerved.
I did not listen to the spoiler 💀
I screamed so loud when I read that
Sitting here thinking the same thing lol.
@@RyanKuebel Matthew played the fake ghostface in stab 8 when Richie is watching a video about it on UA-cam. So. Technically matt is in it
Cant believe Skeet is 51, he can pass for 30s...
absolutely
He's 51?! He looks great!!😁
He definitely goes to the Paul Rudd school of ageing !
Am I the only one who thought it was Kevin Smith in the thumbnail
@@badascan8910 nope
I hate to be "that person" but Skeet has really aged like a fine wine.
What's wrong with saying that?
@@myerst52 I mean thirsty! 🤣
I’m a straight man, and even I said Hot Damn! Lol
Facts!!
He looks like 30 something while Matthew looks old already
Even 25 years later and over Zoom, you can see the chemistry these two have. The contrast of Skeet's calm, measured speaking verses Matt's absolute enthusiastic chaos is a delight.
For me the OG ghostface is skeet and Matthew, no one can change my mind the first was and will always be the best 1 in my mind
I think that's a unanimous agreement. The killers in Scream 2 were ok, in 3 the killer was stupid imo but it was pretty cool to go back and watch Roman, the killers in 4 we're again just ok. Still love all the movies though.
yeeeees
Og means original… so why would it not be them
Of course no one can change your mind it's not like it's your opinion it is 100% fact that they are the OG ghostface 🤣
Some people use terms without knowing what they mean. Education continues!!
Years have past since Scream came out, but Skeet and Matthew age like a fine wine, dashing as ever. Also, I do believe Stu is still alive and will make a comeback.
Love your UA-cam name!
Stu reckons he will return, let’s hope the legend himself is right
Matthew looks pretty much the same to me :v like he doesn't age at all. Dude's a lowkey vampire.
Holaa
Stu has definitely aged Billy not so much
The first time I watched Scream, I was 11 and home alone. It was nighttime and storming. I got through the opening scene where Casey dies, and then the power went out. I was completely terrified because we lived in the middle of the woods and the nearest neighbor was a mile away. I kept thinking a killer cut the power off somehow and was probably in my house. I grabbed the biggest knife we had and went in sat in a corner until my Mom got home and hour later. It was one of the scariest events of my childhood 😂
that sounds fucking terrifying. i would be scarred for life omg.
Bloody hell.. what a crazy memory
Sounds like some bad parenting
Holy shit haha
You must be born around 87! Like me!
I remember the first time I watched it at a friends house. Just me and him and we were 11/12 years old. Scared the poop out of me in that first scene.
Matthew Lillard is probably one of the few actors I'd geek out to meet.
Awesome actor and seems such a cool guy
Yeah literally
He is nice.i saw him once
Skeet has always been fine he looks so good and aged so well he looks the same and Matthew is hilarious I love how he's almost as chaotic as Stu
Agreed 👍
Definitely has a bit of a Botox look but well done and yes he looks almost the same , probably he's quite vain tbh as his looks are very iconic
To be fair Stu was still breathing after the TV landed on him and sparked
I realy believe he is still alive and will be the big surprise in the next one
@@enigma-wv7oc Idk if he will be but I wouldn't mind at all.
He keeps saying he would love to reprise the role but he hasn't received any calls but he could be pulling our leg.
It would be neat if they did because if thus is the trio's last outing what better end then to have the return of Stu to bring it full circle.
Okay... did you forget that he was also bleeding out from multiple stab wounds also??
@@BluDemonOzzy
I know, but he was still able to run after Sidney after that.
@@BluDemonOzzy He could of still been saved by the paramedics. We don't know how much time elapsed from the point where he gets stabbed multiple times and when they arrive. It's totally plausible that he could of survived.
Damn how does Skeet not age? he looks as handsome as ever
right!?!
Omg ikr
@Clemonsgamer0713 jealous much hahaha
He did age. It’s just men generally age better then woman.
@@sparingpickle4918 Generally,yes.That's true.
8:42 I love how Matthew Lillard is jokingly mad at Skeet Ulrich, with him raising his voice at him about Stu not dying. I love how even Matthew Lillard, Stu Macher himself, is on our side when we say Stu didn't die.
Even though personally, I think he did die because Kevin Williamson did confirm that Stu is dead.
8:41 the way Matthew talked right there just blasted me with Stu vibes
RIGHT
If Stu doesn’t reveal himself in Scream 5 by saying “I’ve always had a thing for ya Sid” I don’t want it
Hahahaha for real tho
Man's a legend!
"Let go of the past, or it could ruin the future."
I would die! 😱
All we would need to hear would be
“Surprise Sidney”
What they should’ve done is have Stu survive, his defense attorney makes the claim that Stu was an unwilling accomplice so that he can achieve a reduced sentence with the possibility of parole. Then, flash forward to this fifth film, and Sidney gets the news that Stu Macher has been released from prison just as the murders begin to pick up again.
The problem is that there has never been any mention of Stu surviving and being in prison, which surely there would be?
Problem is if they wanted to make him the killer it would be wayyyyyy too obvious and there'd really be no twist. Unless they did an extraordinarily good job at convincing us that he wasn't the killer.
in the original script for Scream 3, it was supposed to be him orchestrating the murders from prison using fans of the Stab series, they had to scrap that idea because of Columbine but i really really hope they can do something with it for 5 or 6
@@Lo0serx3 my reply had more the original commenters concept in mind. If we know Stu is out of prison then there’d be no doubt that he’s the killer.
his defense was that he was peer pressured, he's far too sensitive
Skeet out here doing his best Andrew Garfield.
LOL!!! I know right?
i love how matthew is almost as chaotic as stu 😂
“Billy and Stu fall in love” YOU HEARD IT HERE FOLKS
Heck yeah…
My son got to meet these two at a horror convention outside of Charlotte North Carolina. They were both so down to earth and sweet to him. He actually worked the convention just to be able to possibly share a moment with the two of them and he left over the moon. Thank you guys for making my son‘s dream come true. And we hope to see you again at a future convention.
Crazy how Matthew remembers the trip to San Francisco with Neve & Jaimie so vividly. Sounds like the crew really was the “crew”.. they all stayed friends. I saw where Skeet and Matthew went to the Clemson Georgia game together in Charlotte this year. Tight friends seems like.
they did?! dang it! i wish i had known. would have been awesome to run into them.
The 80s/90's era is unforgettable. There were a few rare gems before the 80s. But music, movies and pop culture have not been close to that era.The best killers in the franchise. Billy is number 1, but Stu humor is unmatched.
Def agree John, where you from??

@@vampbie55 I agreed with John-about 80's/90's era was the best. What is so wrong with that? 🙄

Billy Loomis is DEFINITELY dead.
But I really think Stu is going to be the killer in this new movie.
If you remember from the original 4, The killer is never who people think it is,they always put spoilers out there to make people think its one person and then its a different, I def think that Stu will make an appearance in this one but def not the killer.
He's not the killer. But he could pulling strings from behind the scenes. That way we'll get two huge reveals. 1. Whoever the killer is, it'll be a twist and 2. That Stu was alive and behind it all
I think its both
I think it’s someone related to Stu.
When he says "it's an honour", that's someone who has never met her before.
I’ve thought for a long time that Stu COULD HAVE survived. I’m so glad Matthew is on the same page as so many of us are! I hope he’s actually in this one and is uncredited to keep it a surprise. I don’t know that any other person being the killer would be as amazing as Stu.
it's cannon that Stu is still alive. Waiting for his return for Scream 6. Maybe a Scream 5 post credits scene.
I hope he's back for the 5th !
Stu's house is in 5
That was never confirmed
@@mr.checkyourself4672 stu's house is in 5 its shown in the trailer
@@dazzamurray8407 Yes but it's never stated he's alive
Matthew's fantasy about what Billy and Stu would be doing now is better than anything I could have imagined. Love the way he thinks.
If it wasn't for that "accidental" phone throw, one of the best lines in the movie would never have happened.
Skeet is pretty much Daddy AF aka DILF…
PERIODT 😍💘
You're tryna catch that Skeet skeet
He looks amazing
He is hot
🤣
Skeet and Matt had so much chemistry and character charisma about them honestly the first scream was so perfectly cast. Fast forward to let's say scream 4 and you have a character like Trevor who literally had no charisma or chemistry about him whatsoever. Total miscast
Dude for a hot minute I couldn't even remember who Trevor was
Don’t know if it’s true but I read somewhere that Trevor had a much bigger part, but it got cut out of final movie.. maybe that’s why?
That was just a red herring though, same with Judy. I don't think they were supposed to be anything except that and they were purposely uninteresting to reflect the trend of forgettable characters in horror remakes. That's how I view it
@@lickitysplit3575 tbf judy at least was memorable and had some funny chemistry with Gail, I'm actually pleased she's in scream 5. Trevor tho gosh I can't even get through any of his scenes seriously he's so miscast im amazed Wes actually picked him for the part
@@Facelessman254 Judy was boring in Scream 4. I barely cared when she got shot at the end. They barely developed her character. So I disagree. But I'm glad she's back. Her return could possibly justify the lack of development last movie
I’m still so bitter that Neve wasn’t cast as FP’s wife on Riverdale. She would’ve been perfect. Skeet really wanted it too.
Me too. It was definitely a missed opportunity.
I tried to watch Riverdale because Skeet is in it, but I can't continue watch. It's such a weird show
@@pleviathan Indeed it is!
Dude I so wanted that to happen as well!!!!! I didn't like the chicken that they had for FP wife.
They need to do another movie together but that role didn’t make sense for her.
"liver alone! 😜 Liver, liver, it's a joke." 😂
Scream is a classic film, the sequels aren’t even bad they stayed true to what the original placated, the cast and the genres used in the film is what continues to make it a memorable film. Wes Craven did a great job with the films
Let's be honest, Scream 3 is pretty terrible.
@@Dr.Frankensteen haha I mean 9:57. I do wonder how 3 would've been though if Columbine didn't happen, and the original idea got to proceed.
@@roguemystique7 they had i think 5 different scripts of scream 3 online and one of them i read was supposed to have 2 killers instead of 1 and was supposed to be hilarious more than scary.
@@stanclark8824 that's interesting to know I didn't know that! So kinda like scary movie but not as cheesy? Lol
@@roguemystique7 exactly! yeah they aleays had to do rewrites because someone spoiled the first movie for everyone so after that they made several scripts and put them online. but yeah scream 3 was supposed to have 2 killers. angelina was the 2nd killer. she would have been perfect. she had enough motive.
Skeet Ulrich is STILL FINE. 🥵
Right? I immediately said to myself fuck he’s still hot lmao
Skeet looks completely different, but his voice is identical.
He's still so fine tho lol
He actually looks exactly the same LOL
RIGHT HE LOOKS DIFFERENT
Y would it not?
Right
I love how Matthew Lillard is so passionate to have Stu live and come back being a killer again for 5 XD
Same Here.
My issue with Stu being alive is Sydney says in scream 3 “billy and Stu are dead” and it’s no way he could’ve survived without her knowing.
Maybe it's metaphorical? Sure theres some way to wave off one line like that.
RIGHT??? If Stu was alive I would be disappointed. There's no way. He got stabbed and a TV fell on his fucking head. And if they pull some shit like, "ohhhhh they never found his body" NO. THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE. THEY WOULD'VE MENTIONED IT IN THE OTHER SCREAMS IF THAT WAS THE CASE. I LOVE STU BUT COME ON MATE. HE'S DEAD.
@@idontwantahandle651 not necessarily, Sidney went into hiding after the second film. Wouldn’t be too hard to ret-con a living Stu. A TV coming down on a person wouldn’t necessarily kill them. Hell, we saw Billy get up, why wouldn’t Stu have his “crazy strong psycho” moment ……remember the end of the movie…?
@@artmpowers ehhhh, I still think it would be very dumb. Yes, she hid away from the world, but I think if there was any chance Stu was alive, Sidney would know.
Kinda late but Sydney also never knew about Billy having a kid in high school, and you know in high school stuff like teenage pregnancies is hard to keep secret.
So I would say it is possible she didn't know that he somehow lived
Ever since I was a kid, the only way I see Mathew is as Shaggy.
One of my favourite Scream theories is Stu lived and seeks revenge after getting out. Literally gets a reduced sentence by blaming it all on Billy who can't defend himself and turns into a he said she said. So to hear Matthew Lillard so adamant about Stu being alive too is just the biggest vindication of it too. The best part is surviving made him a better stalker/killer too as it's predicated on learning from all his mistakes, and reading about the others failing while in mental asylum prison.
The problem is that Sydney states that both Stu and Billy are dead in Scream 2, and there's no way Stu would have survived without Sydney knowing.
They are so lucky to have been acting in the 90’s. That’s the last time there has been such iconic films (scream, matrix etc) like there won’t be ever such iconic films. And to have no phones is great. I’m so jealous and wish I was born back then
I miss the 90's they were truly iconic for so many reasons 😩😭
Mee too. Also back then you had so many different genres,so many cool movies, unlike today where only SCI-FI is dominant.Everything is on the same story on and on.Nothing new pops out,no young actors or actress for who you would say I wanna watch it again.80s and 90s were golden era for show business.
I love how these men have gone on to be staples in our collective film nostalgia. I was 3 in 1996, so my first time seeing Matthew Lillard was as Shaggy in Scooby Doo. Imagine my shock later when I saw Scream as a teenager! Then later when I started hate-watching Riverdale Skeet’s character shows up and I’m like “wait that guy looks familiar…”
At 2:40 and 10:28 the stories from Matthew and Skeet hit so hard are bittersweet in a way because as much as phones have revolutionized many aspects of interacting as humans it’s also killed it in plenty of ways because people would rather chat on Facebook now instead of going out and hanging out and the stories like this make it sound like shooting a movie at this point in time was exhilarating and fantastic but it’s never coming back again.
So excited I’m feeling a little woozy here!
I see what you did there!
They definitely are the cast that I'll never forget. I'm in love with the Scream franchise. But the 1st one of course will always have a special place in my heart. I'd give anything to be able to hangout with all of them on set & be apart of their killer clique. 👻
I agree, Stu should be in the 5th Scream, and they could make it the plot twist of the film on who the killer is, because the trailer shows a lot of shots of Stu's house; that would be so awesome if they brought his character back.
I pray to God it is but from the spoilers I read it's not , it's a really dumb reveal of killer(s) that 95% of the auidence won't like. BUT, there are MULTIPLE versions they shot so hopefully they film one with Stu, which is my dream. The trailer REALLY makes it seem like it's Stu
He’s not in it. Check out IMDb
@@joshhall8870 wrong
@@joshhall8870 Directors or the movie told that they are not publishing the cast of the killer(s) to keep the secret until the release date. So basically if you go to imdb and check the cast the killer/s is/are not one of the new cast. So probably the return of Stu or something similar
Stu is dead what if it was Randy's sister who was the killer
Let's be real, if the movie had been made now Stu and Billy would have definitely been in love in an obvious way
On one movie's scene, at the end, when they had already revealed their identity, Stu calls Billy "babe" lol.

He was good in Hackers(with a young Angelina Jolie),too.
Skeet... god, I can tell he REALLY wanted to say “who’s sayin’ im not in the next one?” but good boy, he didn’t.
And god, I SO feel Matt’s feeling that Stu DIDN’T die. Matter of fact, he was alive for Scream 3. He just wasn’t used.

Just watched Thirteen Ghosts again and loved Matthew in it. Us Matts have to stick together lol.
Yesss, one of my favorite movies!!!!
Scream has been around for 28 years! Holy Moly! I was 10 when the movie came out and I loved it. I was lucky that my parents let me watch horror movies at that age. It's 2024 now and I'm going to be turning 38 and I'm still a fan of the Scream franchise.
But also, Scream was incredible and absolutely revived the genre for my generation.
I still think a stu and billy origin story would be awesome. Like about sidneys mom and cotton plus them killing her mom etc… finding the costume as well. 👍🏽
Why the fuck does the guy who played billy look almost the exact same? Gorgeous guy lol.
1996 honestly seems like only 10 years ago, and I vividly remember watching Scream for the 1st time, and just like Skeets Goddaughter it was at my Best mates 11th Birthday, so as 11yo's we all watched and LOVED this movie, we liked it even more than Happy Gilmore, coz we watched scream twice
Had a scream themed birthday when I turned 11 haha it was the first rated "R" movie I ever saw. I was terrified and in love all at the same time.
This duo is literally amazing. And they still have their looks and charms to them🔥🔥i couldnt be happier that they still hang out and stuff, its so sweet
It blows my mind that Matthew Lillard, whose big role in Scream was one of the killers, is now the official voice for Shaggy in most animated Scooby-Doo media since Casey Kasem died.
The fact I just found out that David is a year younger than both Skeet and Matthew - but also, Skeet is 4 days older than Matthew
I'm sorry, is Skeet wearing a Ministry shirt? Be still my heart!!! I didn't think he could get any more attractive.
He is indeed wearing a ministry shirt!

I had such a crush on Mr Ulrich when I was 12, from both Scream and the Craft. He's still quite attractive. ALSO, [spoiler, maybe] having now seen the new movie, he is pretty good about not spoiling in this interview.
He played dumb pretty well when the reporter asked about them not being in the new movie. Matthew answered so honestly that I'm sure his buddy didn't tell him about his cameo either. Poor Matt, I imagine his face while watching the new movie now 😲. Skeet had a "Johnny Depp" vibe in the mid-90s..I think that was a plus when getting those roles

i think skeet still cares! he’s just much more of a chill person and he doesn’t seem to be as in love with the film as matt seems to be but i dont think it’s just something he did 🥺
I think that’s just his personality
Yes I get that vibe too.
Because lillard actually made movies for a living....

That's actually shocking Skeet and Matthew haven't seen Scream 3 considering their voices made it into Sidney's flashback as voices when she in her recreated room on the Stab 3 set and imagine they both are credited.
Three months away from a new movie, and they interview two people who haven’t been in the franchise in 25 years. That’s the impact that this franchise has on the culture.
Mathew still sounds exactly the same as he did when he played Stu!!!
Must be a pretty cool feeling to watch yourself acting in very popular franchise movie especially that it was done 25 years ago and it’s still a hit.
I'm even more enamored with Skeet knowing he is a Ministry fan 🖤
Yeah I’m over here thinking me and Skeet could be best friends now. Lol
That phone to the back of matthews head made me laugh so hard. I am convinced that phone didn’t slip LMAOO.
This film got me through an abusive relationship. My ex mimicked this character billy. He’s even said some of the same things. Matthews acting was powerful and Skeets character was so intense. He didn’t even blink in some scenes. Scared the shit out of me the first time
These 2 in scream 6 would be so amazing and iconic! It needs to happen. Someone please call them and get them a part already! Out of all the scream movies filmed these 2 were the best killers.
Pretty sure they're both dead
@ronnie boo Thornton He was supposed to be in the 2nd I'm pretty sure. He was originally supposed to have survived and his family was going to cover his survival up. And then he'd be the killer in Scream 2. But the script got leaked and they changed the whole movie. Unfortunate, but oh well.

I love the great memories that they had working together with the cast members, definitely brings back memories of my time in the 90s. I totally agree that technology is what's really killing the feel of the new horror movies today, it's just not the same like you used to be.
I was in both scream two and three in the classroom scenes. We were discussing the making of the movies and all of UCLA great cast and West Craven was amazing.
Omg it's so weird to see them in normal form lol
Scream is amazing. Still my favorite horror movie today. Their chemistry is what really sold it for me. So good!! The casting of this movie was very well done. Instead of throwing "A" listers into the movie they took their time and picked actors that have talent and bounce off well with each other. To me that's what made this movie even more successful!!
I’ll never forget sitting right behind Matthew at a Celtics vs Clippers game in 2002. He was so nice and really funny! He talked with us and we even heckled the red together.
Solid dude and I’ll never forget that.
This was great
Billy & Stu will always be the originals! 🙌🏾
Underrated comment!!
This interview was hilarious. Lol such cool dudes, best killers of the franchise. That's just a fact. (My personal faves are Billy, Stu, and Roman.) Love Matt's passion for Stu still being alive. That had me laughing throughout the whole video. And their banter about the phone scene lmao. ..ngl I'd actually be interested in seeing Stu return in 5 as ghostface. Makes me wonder if Stu could be a possibility.
GOD skeet hasn’t agedddddd he looks beautiful like always! And Matthew 😍
Welp here after Scream 2022...
One of them was back ;)
Stu working for a tv company though
‘Ya ready Stu?’
“BRING IT BABY”
*drops tv on head”
AAAAAAA
If anyone hasn’t gotten the chance to watch Mathew Lillards comedy with Dax Shepard and Seth Green titled “ without a paddle” you are missing out!
Great movie.
And still skeet is as beautiful as ever 😭❤️
I loved Matthew when he was on Law and Order SUV opposite Carol Burnett. It was epic. 😉😎
My favourite line of Stu's "My Mum and Dad are going to be so mad at me" 🤣🤣
I always thought that it was so hilarious that Stu was more scared of his parents being angry with him and not by the fact that he probably would have spent the rest of his natural life in prison or have gotten the death penalty for his participation in a mass killing spree. But I guess that that was the point, the character's out of his mind,so of course that's the first thing he would be worried about more than the legal ramifications and to be fair,a lot of people fear disappointing their parents and letting them down.
@@JR-ju3kj Exactly that's what makes the character so realistic to me!
I almost feel bad for the actors in these classic films bc they don't get to experience it like us viewers do.
It’s a shame Skeet’s career really didn’t take off after Scream. He seems like such a likable guy.
FR! it’s so disappointing that he played such a recognizable and iconic character and now i don’t ever see him in movies anymore
so glad matt agrees billy and stu are definitely in love
This is PERFECT!! Skeet has aged like a FINE WINE!! He was a heartthrob 25 years ago and now he's even more beautiful.
