  • In this video, we take a deeper dive into the PVI-800 Navigational System. For those interested in learning more about this Inertially driven navigation device, this video explains additional functions beyond those described in the Basic Navigation video.
    CORRECTION: 17:05 I'm actually to the left of track here due to setting the waypoint incorrectly. The PVI-800 was tracking to Waypoint 4 on the ABRIS (which was set as WPT 3 on the PVI). A MINUS symbol actually MEANS the track is to your LEFT and you are right of track! So here, I am actually left of the track to Waypoint 4 on the ABRIS.
    CORRECTION: 20:01 This is actually decimal minutes and not tenths of a second.

    Can we enter waypoints directly in the abris?

      Ah, looks like one for another Video. We can indeed enter waypoints into the Abris but they will not populate the PVI-800 and so you have to add them there also. A quicker way to do this is to use the map editor to enter waypoints and they will both populate the ABRIS and the PVI-800.
