As a software engineer driving towards a critical delivery myself, I feel your pain. Better to release a good product that works and is fit for function than "meet the date" but with critical problems.
As a software engineer myself I can say that I am expected to meet deadlines that I promise and I expect others to do the same.
@@PaVVroo They have stated their problems causing the delay. Working in a team is critical meaning if the ppl are not there, you can expect a delay. Its basic stuff

@@MYYT247 First they said its coming in 2022, then when they were advertising the preorder they said "this winter".
The fact you explained WHY it was delayed, and gave a sincere apology, AND an updated date, shows your commitment to ur customers. Most devs are like, its delayed deal with it.
I'll take delays over someone dealing with a serious illness. I hope you all get well soon.
We are living in an age where there is so much garbage out there because its rushed and plagued with problems, we are falling on our knees for delays if it means a proper product is released, what a time to be alive, take as much time as you need.
As much as I want to get my hands on this module...I'm happy enough to wait for whatever fixes need to happen.

Thank you for updating us your loyal customers and fans. I think we all want to help. As a former F-4E/G Instructor Pilot, I know too well the tasks you are trying to replicate. When the ARN-101 replaced the LN-12 it made a huge difference in navigation and weapons employment! Keep up the good work, we are all cheering for you and the team!

Yes its disappointing BUT it would be even more frustrating to get a module that has major problems.

@@BarManFesteiro So the F-16 or the F-18 arent? In the last update the F-16 datalink was broken or when they updated the radar of the 16 and 18 you could lock targets on the ground with the radar like fire or tanks. Dont be a kid and say the 15 its broken cuz all of them are, the Strike Eagle it had from far a more complete EA than the F-18 or 16 featuring way more stuff than they did and also has some stuff that they dont have at the moment (like a comples datalink or a good radar model for example)

Users can appreciate the effort you folks put in and the honesty you represent. In an age of "two weeks" being the joke for updated release dates, the more legitimate-sounding date extension and detailed transparency goes a long way. I've been in love with the F-14 since you released it and am willing to be patient for the same love and care on your next modules.
Press on, stay focused and polish an epic module that delivers on the Heatblur name. Good luck, we know it will be worth the wait.

A bit like go around on landing: better to go around and explain to people why you did, rather than crash and let people work out why you didn't. Full kudos to you guys for being as open and transparent as possible, rather than meeting a deadline with a rubbish laggy module that would take forever to regain your reputation. I am more than happy to wait longer for an excellent module. Thanks guys.
Thank you for taking the time to explain what exactly was broken and how it caused the delay. Even without people getting sick I'm pretty sure pinning down an issue as configuration dependent as that would still be an utterly painful and time consuming process.
You guys are on another level. The detail and technicality of all this is insane. Massive respect to the whole team for researching and coding and modeling all this.

Thank you for fine tuning the F-4. This is going to be a very important release so I understand the hesitation of releasing a subpar product. Don't work too hard, your health is more important.

Thank You for letting us know so much in detail bout the actual situation, some of the features you're trying to implement are definitely groundbreaking for dcs.. this is a big thing that will set a new standard and Rome was not built in a day!

I think I can speak for most of the community that with recent crappy games launches, a slight delay to get your release right is appreciated. Keep up the good work and I am still excited for this model.

I hope the team is doing well! As I’ve seen a couple comments mentioned already. I eagerly waiting for the release. But can’t help it if sickness or technically issues are out and about, I would rather wait a bit longer for a better module than a rushed one! Anyways hope everyone is well!

No, we don't. In any other industry, in any other organization this would be unacceptable. I'm not sure who is worse in developing products based on release schedules, ED or HB. They are both abysmal.
Yes, before we go down the justification rabbit hole. I develop in UE5 extensively. I understand release schedules, I understand product development. I understand the complexities of bringing products to market.

What impressed me is that they owned the delay. Hey, &@$” happens. But they stood tall before the man and kept us in the loop. The radio silence that Razbam gave us on the Strike Eagle did not impress me at ALL

RB makes nice stuff, but their customer relations blow. To them it's just "Buy it or don't buy it, we don't care, just shut up."

Im always glad a dev will delay release rather than try to stick to an arbitrary release date, well done.
I just don't think that the delay is such a big deal. There are other modules to fly and have fun with in the meantime. Good things take time. People just want everything NOW in today's world. Thanks for the update
While i am exited for the phantom to come to DCS, although it is delayed. Will the new UI features be implemented on the F14 and the AJS?
